  • High-throughput screening methods are extensively used in the pharmaceutical industry, leveraging robotics and automation to quickly test the biological activity of a large number of (drug) compounds or a large number of conditions to optimise (upstream and downstream) processes. The main goal of these screening methods is to speed up the process and therefore save resources / reduce costs.
In this video, I will discuss different approaches that can be used, including experimental, modelling, heuristic and combinatorial approaches. Moreover, I will provide a future outlook of high throughout screening in the industry and what skills future graduates need to have to keep up with the latest developments.

Thank you so much Professor Marloes Peeters for spending your precious time making these valuable and informative lectures and sharing them for free via TH-cam for poor students like us. I am a third-year undergraduate student major in Biotechnology in Vietnam and I feel very lucky to find your lectures to learn about Biopharmaceuticals. I wish you all the best, Professor!
