Ukraine election: Poroshenko concedes after Zelenskiy landslide | DW News

  • In Ukraine, comedian Volodomyr Zelenskiy has won a landslide victory in the presidential election. With the count almost complete, Zelenskiy has taken 73 percent of the vote, while the incumbent Petro Poroshenko has managed only 24 percent. It's a stunning rebuke for Ukraine's political establishment, especially as Zelenskiy has only ever been involved in pretend politics before. Poroshenko was magnanimous in defeat, despite a bitter campaign, conceding early and offering Zelenskiy any help he would need to carry out his transition.

th-cam.com/video/vrZTMwkhpA4/w-d-xo.html --- The Russians see Zelensky's victory as a victory for them Now they're talking about giving Donbass residents dual citizenship with Russia, and giving them access to Russian medical resources as well as access to Russian universities. So how are the war mongers in Washington going to handle that ? Perhaps they'll declare Zelensky's landslide as being "non-democratic" and not recognize it. What else can a dying Empire do ? ...
