🤟😁👍I go through that pile and the piles in the back room checking the ones I havent seen befor frequently. Alot of regulars do. When I enter the store we say our Howdys and catch up on events then I ask what's new. Dane knows my tastes and starts showing me things I might be interested in. Or big amps ( he doesn't like big stuff that takes up alot of room, guess why ). He knows I'm a rocker from the 70s, bigger, louder, is better. Danes a great guy and wants to make sure his customers leave happy. There are a bunch of regulars and we all know each other. Inventory changes constantly, you never know what might walk in the store. Great place to shop.
A quick condensed version of Charvel's History. Wayne Charvel started out at fender and then left there to start His own guitar repair business. It grew to offer replacement parts for Fender style guitars and in the late 70s, a guy named Grover Jackson came to work for Wayne Charvel and eventually suggested that Charvel capitalize on the guitar hot rodding phase that was inspired by guys like Eddie Van Halen. So they started building limited numbers of one off guitars on a custom order basis. In the early 80s, Wayne Charvel sold the business to Grover Jackson and Grover Jackson started expanding the line with production model Charvel's. Enter Randy Rhoades and the Concord V. The very first Jackson branded guitar. After a few ownership changes that saw Charvel become the import brand and Jackson the USA brand, Fender bought the company and has helped to revive both brands by improving both quality and reputation. The black Charvel strat you have here is a model 1 that was actually made in Japan. These are outstanding guitars for the money when you can find them. They didn't sell as well as the company in San Antonio had hoped. They're killer guitars though. If you've ever played the one you have, you understand. Have an awesome day dude.
too bad Fender has become a massive buyer of companies... and the companies that they bought exist as brands only and are no longer original, innovative, or exceptional in quality. The fact is, that you can't buy a new Jackson today. you can buy something that looks like one from 15 feet away, but it's just another mediocre guitar from Fender Corp.
I traded those mim 70's reissue natural and black strats months ago. Surprised you still have them Dane. Probably because they're hidden away in their cases or people aren't into stratocasters anymore?
Probably because it’s is made in China yeah LTD is quality stuff there are tons of us boycotting things made in China these days. If it was made in Korea hell I’d buy it.
I'm gonna be selling a bunch of guitars both modern and vintage. I'll have to reach out and see if you're interested in anything. I believe that Charvel might be a model 1A from the 80s. Should have a three spring fulcrum tremolo with a basswood body. Pretty cool Guitar I wouldn't mind having in my collection. They only came in two colors, black and red. It's worth about $600.
Charvel guitars was a thing before Jackson guitars. Grover Jackson worked for Wayne Charvel and Randy Rhodes came to Grover to have a V guitar made. Grover didn't want to put the Charvel name on it, so they branded it "Jackson" and that's how Jackson guitars was born. Jackson and Charvel guitars were made in the same factory. That's why the company was known as Charvel/Jackson at one point.
Hidden gems! I have my eye on one on your wall. Suggestion: Put a few T-shirts near the front counter so guitar tourists remember to take home a souvenir.

Wish I still lived in AZ, I’d be in there daily. Cool shop, cool guy.
I'm glad I live 2000 miles away from Mesa AZ. If I lived closer, I'd end up making my wife mad.
i was just going too type exactly this! end of video i scrolled down n boom, already done for me.
Ditto man....👍
I was not expecting to see a Jeff Waters guitar! I always liked his band Annihilator from the late 80's,one of my favorite guitar players.

The documentary "The Original Charvel Gang" goes into detail about Wayne and Grover...
@@scottdunn2178 it's a great documentary on Charvel's early days.
The copper Strat is a Roadhouse Deluxe. The locking tuners are standard but they come with a noiseless SSS pickup configuration stock.

Ive always wanted that 70's reissue. Almost bought one on ebay but the price jumped up too high
Right On Dane 😎🤘🏼

Love the guitars
Nice inventory! How come the website shows only 5 guitars in stock?
The website is really secondary. The local guys are our focus
@@ZIMMSGUITARS Good excuse for a road trip.
Univox lp was cool
The Charvel is a Model 1A. Probably from 86-89. Sweet condition for it's age.
I love that Cort guitar, to ship it to the UK would cost a fortune though! pronanly as much as the guitar.
That univox is a bad ass guitar they had japanese maxon pups
you got some cool guitars in that mix.
That Japanese Charvel Model 1 would be circa 1986-1990-ish. Charvel switched to the Spaghetti Logo around 1990.
Vintage brand sg is cool 2
When did you start shipping I know form past videos you had things I wanted but you always said pick up only?
Hidden gems! I have my eye on one on your wall. Suggestion: Put a few T-shirts near the front counter so guitar tourists remember to take home a souvenir.

Why not sell online? You would sell more that way and for guys like us who are a million miles away from your shop.
No prices, no use.
Some of them actually do have prices, and he mentions it. But you're meant to call and find out that way.
