Just started watching your channel. Don’t let the “experts” get to you on your playing, lest we forget WE all started from the beginning at some point. I been playing about 18 months and still don’t have the balls to post my playing so kudos to you my friend.

A metronome and practice would be useful. Prepping before a video is the professional way. At least only including clips that sounded correct. I’m not sure this would’ve sounded much better through a ‘72 LesPaul and a JCM 800 full stack. I didn’t even make it though the whole video before stopping the video. This sounded more like my teenaged nephew who is just been learning. The down side is that the description implies that it is to help beginners. Not being able to play the parts makes the guitar sound unjustifiably bad. Sour or missing notes, off time rhythm and general incompetence might keep a kid from getting an otherwise “ok” guitar for the price they needed to start. @viarnay is making the point that it is almost impossible to judge the quality of the guitar without anctually hearing it played correctly. You should post videos of techniques and gear a beginner should want to be able to do. No one is going to watch this and think, “I hope I can sound like that one day”🤦‍♂️

Wow never saw that brand before . Thanks for the heads up with Temu they only recently allowed shipping to Hawaii.
I usually go through Amazon and for mid priced gear Musicians Freind..
I once ordered a Wolfgang 2020 standard from Amazon and received it with the headstock sliced down the middle all the way to the bone nut.. sent it back posted it and am now kicked off of posting from there 😂 such Is life haha

It was pretty good if it wasn’t for the dings. I would’ve certainly kept that over the epiphone that I sanded down. Hands down.

Yea I see a lot of reviews on that Epiphone Special 1 .. everyone rates the pickups not up to par . I guess I was lucky 🍀 getting the Slash Epiphone AFD special 2. It’s my first EPI. But this one is well built as sounds crazy 🤣
But true I like the looks of that guitar and it sounded fine 🤙🏾

@@SearchingForTone … I think the grote LP looks Sic! If you ever review another one check to see how micro phonic those pickups are. One review if I’m not mistaken stated they squeal if you turn them up to drum level.
So for me that would make it a project..
That’s the only reason I went with the Epiphone Slash special ll.. these pickups are really good.. thanks for the feedback

@13soulz anytime, yeah grote is on the radar and their strat headstocks are very similar to the Vicers we reviewed way back in the beginning. Bet they are same factory

Sick burn dude😎 quitting TH-cam right now. Although, I did forget for a moment in our biography we did say that this a channel for helping beginners, through the eyes of a “beginner”

ordered a green grote LP clone from bamazon in feb...arrived with a broken neck...sent it back the very next day and when they recieved it i ordered another color...i was scared theyd re ship the broken one had i ordered green again lol!
the 2nd grote was golden...no issues with it...i replaced the weak pups and its cherry now! wild thing is it still cant hang with my epi LP special thats all stock...grote is a LP special p90 clone...

      @@SearchingForTone sweeet!
build 4 build the grote is every bit as good as the epiphone...only downfall was the stock pups were weak in the grote...
i have yet to upload a 30min sound comparison film between these 2 guitars...
i did a comparison with the stock pups in the grote but it was such a "soundslaughter" im not even sure if i published it haha!!!

@birdman316 I think I’m ok with poor pickups if everything else is great. Look, feel, frets, tuning. If any of those are off then I’d say I would need stock pups to be better to compensate.

I think there’s better out there, but price was pretty appealing. If it wasn’t dinged up I would’ve kept it. I would’ve loved to see how much I’d have to spend for an epiphone to get the same quality. It certainly beat the $200 model hands down

It would’ve been a keeper if it wasn’t for the dings. Temu boxes are interesting, they look like the dragged behind the delivery vehicle.

@@SearchingForTone my first Amazon electric came with a big dent in the back. I just kept it. I mean it was just cosmetic and I figured sending it back and getting another was a gamble that the next one might show up in worse shape

@AkaSnugD funny thing with Amazon bought something the other day, $100 cheaper today they wouldn’t match the price….I bought it from them. So I bought it again and then returning the item I have already just to get the $100 off🤣

@AkaSnugD I didn’t understand it at all. No wonder prime day deals aren’t crazy they have to make up for shipping 3 x 2 to me 1 back to them. 🙄
