They used the testimony of a METH HEAD, THE MURDERER, to convict this man. METH HEADS are notoriously undependable and habitual criminals and liars. They deal with two serious issues, the addiction, and the sleep deprivation syndrome caused by his drug of choice. A person who is sleep deprived can and will do anything. He'd sell his grandmother for a hit and would rent his daughter for another one. Someone in power wants this man to take the fall.

And for that weak piece of evidence the State of Oklahoma said "Yep. Must be guilty. Let's give this guy the death penalty." They are going to execute an innocent man. This is a tragedy.

How can u not sympathize? I do not understand. Fortunately, more people care, than don’t care. This show is about what it is like for a man who has been on death row for more than 20 years. Think about what it would be like to endure that, if u r innocent. Even if u r guilty it would b horrendous.

I have been following this case for years (even knew one of the detectives), and I am convinced Richard is innocent. I think the reason a lot of people commenting on here think he's guilty is that you/they have not done any research and, therefore, don't have all the facts. As for Dr. Phil putting what is obviously an old phone call on this current show (where Richard talks about Lea [sic], the love of his life), well, Leigha and Richard were married in 2018 and divorced in February of this year. Despite what was not a very amicable divorce, she, too, still believes he's innocent.

    • @bettymermaid8346
      @bettymermaid8346 2 ปีที่แล้ว

He married a girl called Lea (who he speaks about in the phone call) after he divorced Leigha Jurassik. Jurassik was very young and impressed by Richard's public image. She was with Richard for the wrong reasons. It just happens that both names are very similar.

    • @sweetcheeks89

I put alot of thought into the death penalty and actual believe the same. It makes no sense to take someone and tied them down and execute a perfectly healthy person rejoice and celebrate and cheer like a bunch of animals. It doesnt keep people from commiting crimes. Its doing it out of spite and control. If there is a God I dont want him to ask why i thought it was ok to pass judgement for someone life to end.

It's what can be shown as evidence..I'd rather 100 guilty people go free than 1 innocent person be executed. If there's any evidence at all that shows he could be innocent then you shouldn't take a chance with the most severe punishment there is, and like it or not the evidence is there

He is innocent. I have been on this case for many years now, and from every angle, there is no way he had a part in this murder. The 19 yr old , meth addict, admitted killer Justin Sneed thieved from anywhere he could. He went to the victim's room to thieve but did not expect the victim to fight back. Murder was never the intention. Even the detective who interrogated him and told him he would get a no death plea if he said Richard told him to do it. Since then Det.Bemo now retired, said in the Joe Berlinger documentary, that it was a burglary gone wrong.

Why did Glossip have $1200 on him that he had stolen from Van Treese's truck? Why did Glossip attempt to "leave town" immediately after he realized that the police were onto him?
He's guilty as sin and his own actions prove that. Nothing Sneed says will ever change the fact that Richard's own actions before and after the murder depict him as a complete sociopath.

Richard had driven his boss's car numerous amount of times and knew to pop the trunk the latch was in the glove compartment. The amount of money on him was his exact paycheck recieved the day before. And the money supposedly missing from the register was just completely false. Turns out the investigator was going by estimated projected annual sales. Not the actual cash amount. When they did it the correct way the register was completely even. The boss was also found with his pants down in a room. Suggestion that maybe he had a lot lizard with him. Sneed happened to have a lot lizard girlfriend. If Glossip was in on it, its mighty stupid to continue to work the desk while Sneed has already took off with the money. MAKES ZERO SENSE. i do believe when a person is convicted of murder on tape and through DNA and there is no mistake that that person did the crime they should be EXECUTED ON THE SPOT NO APPEALS AND NO LIFE IN PRISON BS......PS: AND FURTHERMORE I DO NOT CARE HOW OLD, ARE YOUNG THEY ARE DEATH FOR THEM...........

I don't know full story of Richard Glossip but there are innocent people on death row. There's everything from tampering with evidence, false confessions, tampering with crime scene. There are some dirty law enforcement officers and agencies out there.

There was no dna. The killer (Sneed) gave Glossip's name to get his sentence shortened. He would have given anyone's name. The trunk was pried open.

Richard has no prior criminal record. Never even a parking ticket. He was set up by the admitted killer Sneed so he would not get the death penalty. Richard was the manager of the motel and the victim had 100% trust in him. Sneed was a 19 year old meth addict and used steal from the motel rooms to feed his habit. He went to the victim's room to steal but Mr.Van Treese put up a fight and it ended with Sneed grabbing a baseball bat from the room and using it. It was never meant to be a murder.

That state rep who had in the caption "im pro death penalty but not if the man is innocent". That is the dumbest thing ive ever heard. There is no way to ensure that . As long as theres a death penalty there will always be innocent men who are killed. You either excpet that as a necessary evil to have a death penalty or you dont support it at all, there is no in between. Its absolutely immpossible to ensure innocent men are protected 100% of the time, there is no such thing as a perfect system. What a stupid caption. I suspect he had to put that disclaimer cause his redneck constituents will think hes gone soft for supporting this man. Tough guys support the death penalty! Yeah! We love the death penalty!

👨‍⚖️ ~ This stuff happens way more than anybody wants to admit. So when Republicans don’t understand why so many Democrats believe the justice system needs changed, now you know why. I’m not here defending how SOME Democrats want to swing the pendulum completely in the other direction, but here’s the problem with so many traditional prosecutors office is and how they handle stuff. If they want to conviction they’ll often get a conviction. But in today’s day many people who are on juries are more skeptical.
But we need though are changes to courtroom rules of evidence. I literally watched a criminal trial of a man who was accused of violating a little girl where he had evidence that The mother had threatened this guy on and off that she would run his life, then turned him into the police but he did not know she did so, then after turning him into the police she maintained a sexual relationship with him multiple times. He was not allowed to show the text messages to prove the woman had done this to the jury. And the only way he was able to tell the jury about what happened was for him to get up and testify himself. But why are you going to believe someone who is a defendant in a case like this? So I don’t yet know if the jury found him guilty or not, but I will assume they did. The Texas jury usually is gonna fry someone. And a lot of times the jury does not understand how emotions play more into their decisions than the actual facts. Anyway, the problem is the judge did not allow the text messages to be told to the jury because it’s called hearsay. But it’s funny that the judge WOULD have allowed the prosecutor do use the exact same text messages against the guy because that’s an exception to hearsay. I’m not sure if the judge got the ruling right or not, but she probably did. There’s a little bit more nuance to this case then I’m happy to tell if anybody actually read this message and cares they can reply and I’ll respond.
But a lot of the problem is that we have a culture of winning at all cost, kinda like Trump even though I don’t wanna get political, and if the prosecutor is caught lying there are virtually never any consequences to their career whatsoever.d
