The problem now is that if someone like me wants to buy a Scorpio N - I’d go for a diesel automatic but the future of diesels in India (and world over) is kinda not that bright.. and the petrol though a great performer, returns single digit mileages which is not practical for a daily runner..
If they Atleast brought out a petrol mild hybrid version that would be really great.. Full EVs anyway not practical due to evolving battery tech… Mahindra please.. ❤

Secondly I don’t believe that 7.3 figure completely - it has to be really rash - I drive a Mitsubishi Montero sport 3.0 V6 with 240 hp (in Middle East) which when driven rash, returns 6.5-7.5 and when careful 8.5 upto 9 kmpL - so I suspect the petrol Scorpio should return 9-10 kmpL Atleast in normal driving.. Highway alone another tester says 11-12 kmpL.. so there.. ❤
The center cap of the left front wheel is missing in a car given to the press!! 😂 If ACI says 7.3 kmpl then regular folks will get 5 kmpl or less in urban conditions and 8-9 kmpl on the highway. For that kinda mileage Mahindra should give a petrol coupons for free...

Bro M&M offers insane amounts of performance, a 2000cc 200BHP motor at the price of a Creta S(O) IVT 1.5MPFi. Fuel efficiency isn't always everything. Mahindra isn't forcing you to buy the Petrol, you want mileage and performance both, then go for the diesel. Having options always benefits the consumer.
Petrol is just for show. People buy only diesel scorpio.

@@genichiroashina6372 People might be buying the diesel for sure, but that doesn't mean the Petrol is just for show, it shows the company's commitment towards refined ICE engines, unlike what Tata does by just selling desh ka loha 3 cylinders or EVs.
Bro said if you are in "right" gear you don't even need to down shift for overtakes 😂- on highways any car always have to be in higher gears for efficiency - seriously they need to tag brand/car promotions appropriately

XUV 700 is not a good value anymore due to insane price hikes in the last 2 years.
Scorpio is a more capable SUV and is so much better value.
They should release XUV 700 AX7 Select and price it just slightly above AX5 otherwise XUV sales will keep going down.

mahindra cars keep going up on fire on its own! couple of cases in our small town already.
My petrol scorpion gives me 8.1 with AC in Delhi and max it has given 13.2 on Highway tank to tank.

TPMS should not be missed as we are having it in 10 lakhs car now and it's a safety feature

At 1.25 you said power folding mirrors? And then actually not that much.
Get it right dude when a single person is driving and he is in a tight spot he would have to unbuckle the seat belt and assume a very unusual posture to close the passenger side mirror to avoid scratches of scuffs. So I think it is very important, more than the sunroof.
I bought scorpioN in chennai on June, 2024. 10 days after buying the car when i tried to open the door via remote key which was not working. AC , Reverse camera, Reverse parking sensor, Window , Indicator, Headlight all stopped working all of sudden. Took the car to the service centre , with everyhthing not working. Service chief was talking in rude way. they are not able to identify the issue still 4 days of issue. Have escalated this issue at all level, very poor respone. They Lack technical knowledge about this issue, No idea about the root cause. Just drove 300KMs. Could not sleep for last few days after making such a wrong decision. Service centre testing the car driving 40KM without even my permission.

Mileage kitna deti hai? I pay 20 lacs to buy this suv and then spend another 20 lacs for its running+maintenenace suppose i keep the car for 3-5 years.
You should buy a Maruti 800 for best mileage and maintenance.

@@saveearthsaveliv I have travelled in Ford explorer & chevy suburban, those products are impractical outside of North America. There's a reason they're not sold in Europe. Get used to the fact that there's next to no market here.

I always prefer Mahindra Scorpio N and performance wise this is a excellent car., but I am not owning Scorpio N but did a test drive... Compared to Toyota Innova - Mahindra Scorpio N is Much Spacier Gigantic and Excellent SUV.... I don't know why all are preferring Toyota Innova as Rates are high compared to Mahindra... I am not Underestimating Toyota Jus drafting my point....

Put that 200 hp engine in a hatch and we have a real hot hatch first time in India.
Which nobody will buy and it'll get discontinued and then fan boys will cry on the internet like Octavia, Jetta, Endeavour, Punto, Polo. These cars didn't sell much in India yet famboys will have you believe they were best sellers.

Scorpio N is rated 0 stars in Australia NCAP crash test safety rating, but in India 5 stars safety rating due to corruption. In Australia, Scorpio N is given only 44% out of 100 for structure quality, and a score of 0% out of hundred for ADAS features. Complete crash test report is available on Australia NCAP website, for people who want to know the truth.

IN AUSTRALIA NCAP A VEHICLE WITHOUT ADAS FEATURES WILL BE LABELLED AS 0 STAR. SCORPIO N DOESNT HAVE ADAS.BASED ON STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY IT IS STILL A 5 STAR RATED VEHICLE.
Its not due to corruption but missing necessay ADAS features in Australia makes it 0 zero star. XUV700 has 5 star in Australia as well.

Since you made a moronic remark, let me call you a moron, and kindly inform you that it was the Global NCAP, which is registered in the UK, awarded 5 stars to the Scorpio-N.
Additionally, as others have mentioned, it's the lack of ADAS-based features that prompted Australian NCAP to hand a 0-star rating to the car, not because of the lack of passive safety systems. The Australian NCAP just recently made ADAS mandatory for getting even a basic safety rating in their tests.
