The fact that we get to enjoy stuff like this for free on TH-cam is honestly incredible.
It is.
almost like it should be illegal since neither yt or tasos own this, right?
Agree
I’m thinking the same thing! I’m so grated to have witnessed this, and enthralled that I get to watch it again and again
i am sure disney would change that

That sounds amazing, This song could even make clipping your toenails epic!

This is what humanity is capable of. Great music, art, science and philosophy. THIS is what we need more of and NOT the killing, oppression and violence that's borne out of ignorance and hate that's destroying lives all over the world. And yes, sometimes you have to fight to preserve the peace
SO well said ❤😊!! We need more peace, unity, MUSIC and other arts and sciences, realising we are all from the same planet earth 🌞🌍! One beautiful day ✨💖!
You forgot greed. People decide they can take from others, even if death is required to do it.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes
Oh shush. Humanity is also war. Even this music is taken from a movie loosely based about a very troubling times in human history - the golden age of piracy
Also "oppression"? Really? Sit, talk and come to an agreement instead of slaughtering people, and you won't get kicked into the curb, like you very well deserve

0:33 CAPITÁN Jack Sparrow
The character Jack Sparrow was half the magic of this franchise. The other half was Zimmer's soundtrack (shout out to Klaus Badelt of course). Absolutely brilliant and will last forever as one of the greats.
Captain Jack Sparrow, if you please.
i'm confused, did hans zimmer or klaus badelt arrange the music for the first movie?
Hans Zimmer’s student Klaus Badelt, who used his teacher’s notes. More of a collaboration than an either/or, and because of Zimmer’s busy schedule at the time.
I was just thinking about it. There would be no pirates of the caribbean without Johnny Depp and Hans Zimmer music.

Hahaha I loved it - class act
As a cellist I played this with my orchestra in middle school, we got percussion and band to join us- and for 15 minutes we felt like gods. The most fun I'd ever had as a musician- feeling the power and scope of it all. We competed and got a unanimous superior.
Is there any possibility of you putting it online?
Awesome!!!
So great to see this live. The guitarist you see at 2:57 explained that the yellow batch he is wearing is from McDonalds to remind him of the time he had to work there to support his music career financially.
Mad respects to him for following his passion during hard times.
Good old Guthrie Govan

One simple 'Like' for this video is not enough to praise this masterpiece of musical art
8:23 begins so beautifully. My God ❤️💯
He's having SO much fun with that orchestra and choir exploding around him with such beauty, that grin he's got is so fun to see. Can you imagine composing any epic song and having a full-bodied orchestra and choir smash it in such a theater and being right in the middle of it to listen to and join in with? How fucking epic that is. I'm so proud of Zimmer for making this masterpiece and sharing it with us all. I get goosebumps on every rewatch of this.
We lived in a time of Hans Zimmer and his soldiers
Can't say I'm a fan of the pirate's franchise, but I know perfection when I hear it. And THIS is IT. Very powerful stuff indeed
Thats pratice, thats talent, thats sleepless nights, thats dedication, thats confidence and finally thats success. Wonderful .
4:44-7:20 is what made me fall in love with the sea and I’m from Indiana. This gave me chills and tears.
3:25 His Look, he understood again what a masterpiece he had created..
What an epic performance Hans Zimmer did on stage. One of the greatest films he worked on.
I think Hans could play a ancient harp perfectly with his toes. Eyes shut.
For me, music is the only thing that truly reflects what humanity is capable of. It is a reflection of our creativity and potential and a small glimpse of the true power of what we can do if we all cooperate harmoniously. I think powerful performances like these inspire more respect than any army or weapon in existence.
As a guitar player, the fact that Guthrie Govan is playing the 6-string electric guitar parts just blows my mind and makes me wonder how incredibely amazing the other musicians here must be which I haven't yet discovered.
The chello playing girl 😮🔥🔥
That energy 😮🔥❤
They killed it! They killed it, kicked it, hit it, whipped it, laughed at it and set it on fire! Amazing.
What makes me so happy about all of this is that everyone is having so much fun with this whole thing.
This. Is. The. Most. Valuable. Art.
the "One Day" bit had me with goosebumps.
3:17 gives me chills every single time
me too!!
I felt that energy through the screen. What Tina Guo did richt there is what prob most of us wanted to with our bodies
The power of brass instruments rules all.
Anyone notice how at 0:20 Zimmer calls his own piece "trivial"? He totally means from a technical playing aspect but that's so incredibly humble regardless.
When the duo violinists join Tina during One Day, it brings absolute chills to my spine how beautiful the music is. Seeing this experience live is a goal of mine in life.
that subtle smile when they hit that crescendo and the know they've nailed it... love it
I love that Hans Zimmer reused part of the Pirates soundtrack(namely "He's a Pirate") from his work in Gladiator. A couple of the parts are identical. I realized while I was watching Gladiator and was like "wait, is this Pirates of the Carribean?"
My bro and I thought it had Gladiator vibes too (Klaus Badelt worked on Gladiator with Zimmer), but my mom thought she heard music from "The Rock" (which I'd blast around the house). That's true too (sort of like the Navy Seals theme). Then I was listening to "Asteroid Chase" (v=O6VnsUxtYyA) from Armageddon (produced by Zimmer), and heard the Pirates theme! Must be hard to put out dozens of movies a year and avoid accidentally retreading the same tunes! Especially when you get involved in the 11th hour when the previous composer was let go!
WHAT AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE
Hats off to the guy who mixed the final out. Its not easy for a single sound engineer to control the levels and frequencies of 1000 instruments at a time.
Sitting in my home office, listening to this: "Where is my goddamn ship?"
One of the best soundtracks ever!
Thank you, Hans! ❤️
Edit: 10:13
From all the heroes performing, this guy has a special place in my heart!
I wish I could be at an event like this. Imagine how awesome it must be to watch it there, live right in front of your ears.
its a masterpiece, went in 2017 in NZ/Auckland. Stunning and so very real , normal humans in front of you (had 2nd row seats). Hans is clearly like a proud dad its wonderful to see. THink i can still feel the vibrations in my ears haha
I went a month ago and it was one of the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I was a bit scarred considering the ticket's price (which isn't cheap) and thinking it's just a concert, it doesn't last long, is it worth it? But then, being in front of him and his orchestra, watching them perform with such passion, watching the crowd, all of us, enjoying together his music... No matter where we come from, we're all going threw some difficult times and it got me so emotional to watch, and listen, and feel his music so deeply. If he ever performs close to where you are, you have to go.
