Incoming ABSN student here, so I'm excited to learn what my favorite unit is during clinicals. For now I'll say PACU! Personally had some great care from PACU nurses :)
Mentioning the people who clean the room was a throwback for me. Five years ago this past summer I was that guy, mopping the OR floors and wiping everything with the purple wipes as an OR tech. Fast forward to now and I'm in my second semester as an SRNA. Lots of perspective gained from the journey so far and much more to gain for sure.
I just graduated nursing school with my BSN and passed my nclex less than a week ago! I start my nurse residency program in the ICU in less than 3 weeks. I hope to be a CRNA! Been my goal since I was in 4th grade.
I would just like to say thank you for making these! I remember googling what a CRNA was a year ago and your videos came up. I’ve been obsessed with anesthesia ever since and have already been looking at CRNA schools that I want to go to (I start nursing school in the spring lol). I have so much to thank you for. You and Jon have been so inspirational to me!
These are some of my favorite videos that you do! It really puts into perspective the importance of maintaining work and life balance, esp when you were talking about how you rebound back from a sleep deficit. I'm a nursing student now and my favorite type of nursing is ER at the moment but always changing. Thanks for the great video!
I’m still a nursing student but so far my favorite type of nursing has been PICU! I was able to observe the unit and completely fell in love with the nursing role and the complexity in the ICU.
My favorite type of nursing is ICU!! Hoping to follow in your footsteps by becoming a CRNA! I absolutely love all of your videos and look forward to every video you share. Thank you for your kindness and inspirational positivity, it truly makes my day! ❤️
My favorite type of nursing is ICU! I’m a new grad and I’m learning so much every shift. Patients are very high acuity and it feels good to make a difference for them in their toughest, sickest times :)
Anything critical care! I’m still a relatively new nurse but my end goal is to work in the icu :) I start my first official hospital job next month!! I’m so excited!
I’m aspiring to be a nursing school student and just discovered the world of CRNAs while doing my research! This video made me emotional… I see your work and I’m blown away! You’re so inspiring!!! I haven’t even started the process of nursing school yet because I just started doing my research 5 days ago. But I hope that one day I get to become a CRNA. 😊
Currently I’m a CNA who is trucking along with prerequisites to transfer over to nursing school. I’m absolutely in love with med surg nursing. From what I’ve heard it’s Kind of an unpopular opinion 😅
Hi Rihanna! Current ABSN student & aspiring CRNA here☺️ My favorite type of nursing so far is DEFINITELY the Emergency Department. I love how unpredictable it is and how much of organized chaos it is. Also a plus that it gives nursing students more chances for IV practice! 😄🤣
My favorite type of nursing is critical care! I love the workflow and all the brain work. I just started and there's so much learning to do, which is why I love it!! I know I'll be learning forever.
My favorite type of nursing is pediatrics! I was fortunate enough to be able to do my senior practicum in a PICU and was able to help care for kids of all ages with many different medical conditions!! I’ll be starting in adult cardiology but hope to go to peds after I get some experience 🥰
I am in my final year of nursing school and I have really enjoyed my clinical days when I got to float to the ICU! I really enjoyed being able to use what I learned in lecture and apply it in the clinical setting. I also really enjoyed my OB rotation!!
This is giving me 24 hour call flashbacks from Thursday. I always feel so hungover and tired the next day. Even if I get a couple random non REM sleep hours of rest I'm pretty much useless post call. I'm also prone to large quantities of pancakes, pizza, and ice cream.
CVICU is my favorite type of nursing! I love getting to see my patients bounce back and walk the day after surgery. Especially my sweet little grannies! 😊❤️
Favorite type of nursing = ICU!!! I’ve been in the ICU for four years now and I learn something new every single day (which is why I love it). 💚 I work in a trauma hospital that also serves the underserved. My unit sees everything from trauma, nuero, pulmonary, and everything else medical. Although, right now, it’s mostly very sick patients with covid. 😔
Im on the process of getting my BSN while working as an ICU nurse and I gotta say you have been such an inspiration to me as I'm in the process of getting my CRNA. Thank you so much🤗
Favorite type of nursing is pediatric cvicu ❤️❤️ I am so lucky to take care of these incredibly resilient kids! Looking forward to translating this experience into nurse anesthesia
I love watching these day in the life videos!! My favorite speciality of nursing is critical care 🥰 I’m in nursing school now, working as a tech in a critical care unit and I absolutely love it. I also have a weird affinity for wounds and stomas 🤭 My long term goal is to be an NP for a general surgeon because I love all things GI, liver, abdominal. Can’t wait for more nursing and Tyanna content ❤️
Hi Rhianna! I love watching your videos and enjoying all the info and content you share!! My favorite type of nursing of course has to be Critical Care nursing. I am currently a MICU nurse and enjoy the complex care of each patient I take care of. Being an ICU nurse is both challenging and rewarding. I enjoy every shift ❤️ Keep up the hard work!
SICU/CTICU for sure. I only started working in the ICU a few months ago, but I love each and everything I am learning every day. It’s very challenging at time, but so worth it. ❤️ Thank you for all your amazing videos 🥰
My favorite is CTICU! Im halfway through an accelerated nursing program and so far it was my favorite clinical rotation by far! All of the nurses on the unit are incredibly smart and were always willing to help each other. The experience made me that much more excited to become a nurse ❤️
ICU has to be my favorite type of nursing. Rhianna, you are the best 💙💙 For any and everyone who wants to be prepared for CRNA school interview, contact Rhianna. She was so good at feedback and getting me ready for the interview. I would 100% recommend it 👍🏼
Hi !! I am currently a nursing student. But my favorite type of nursing has to be in the cardiac unit♥️ Undergoing cardiac surgery that consisted of repair of sinus venosus atrial septal defect and partial anomalous pulmonary venous return equipped me with the desire and passion to help patients that also experience cardiac conditions, diseases, and complications.
Rhianna! I know the poll on IG says your audience wants to see nursing videos, but I want to see lifestyle videos! You, Jon, Tyanna❤️please keep making lifestyle videos and not just nursing videos😊 my favorite type of nursing is cardio thoracic icu!
Trauma ICU is my favorite! I loved having the admit bed for the unknown surprise and challenge that was sure to come! Thanks for sharing your experience! Very helpful and motivating! 🙂
Rehab nursing! We take care of patients that need PT, wound treatments, and med management for weeks/months. Basically give them all the tools to get stronger so they can go home and live independently!
Hi rhianna I'm not a nurse but my daughter is in her first semester of nursing she what's me to let you know that so far doing clinical she's love the nursing on the pediatric floor its two with covid and them nursing are really taking care and showing them love

Do you find it harder to do anesthesia on kids compared to adults? I had to have a tube down my throat too ah it was awful and I was put under for that because I can’t imagine it feeling too great ha
Yes a majority of people have anxiety about anesthesia and surgery! I like to give them versed in the waiting area to help them feel calmer when going back.
I remember my training in the antenatal & postpartum sections back in college, i find those days to be the best for some reason, maybe because it has that positive atmosphere when women have or are expecting to become mothers... though i'm a male but i think midwifery is such a beautiful job or career to seek for females... by the way Rhianna, i contacted you on instagram a week or so, If you don't reply on there; where can i contact you, i have a question or two about CRNA!
I love critical care... in particular the NICU. I love going to deliveries, responding to neonatal/OB emergencies in the ER, going to the PICU or peds ER to assist with difficult IVs. I enjoy transport (ground only), chest tubes, UAC/UVCs, jets, drips, intubations, bedside PDA ligations, recovering babies after surgery, cooling and rewarming newborns who have needed resuscitation in the delivery room/OR, staying in the OR with the Neonatologist and anesthesiologist/CRNA while the baby gets emergency surgery just in case the anesthesia team needs our help with resuscitation (NRP). I enjoy seeing life coming into this world and having the honor of helping parents through those really difficult times when they say goodbye- to hug the parents, to take pictures, footprints, mementos to remember their baby. I love discharging babies home after having been their primary nurse for 3 months watching them grow from a small 450-500g baby to a now 7 lb baby who is thriving. I love when I reach into the isolette and feel the hand of a 1 lb baby reach up to grasp my pinky finger, holding their tiny body in the palm of my hand and touching their tiny little feet. I love celebrating their victories. I love what I do. I love critical care and I love preemies. Thank you for all you do and congrats on the adoption of Tyanna!
