    MPC flights thank you for this fascinating story. It is, however, annoying to hear of occurrences like these ending with question marks. I think most of us would prefer to watch a video like this where there are facts and closure.

      I think that it is important that the incident be reported as son as approval is given. However, the findings will still be about two years out, especially as pilot action may be a cause

    Runaway elevator trim? Outside of anything deliberate which wouldn't seem probable.

    And that’s the way it still is … nobody outside China has ever heard the outcome or seen an accident report. It seems unlikely we’ll ever know the truth.
    I think a lot of stories on the web have embellished the bare facts a bit. I hadn’t heard about “risky manoeuvres”, just the simulator test and it seems strange that such an experienced and well esteemed pilot (he’d been made the equivalent of a check captain) would fail a simulator test, or embark on risky manoeuvres for the first time so close to retirement. I read it happened after two Chinese airlines merged and the unfairness of the demotion has always been emphasised. We don’t know what happened in the cockpit, but for a plane to fall like that, someone had to be at the controls. It could be that one crew member was locked outside the cockpit and briefly, control was gained and the dive halted. There was CCTV footage of the last few moments of the flight and it was an extremely fast, vertical dive into the ground.

      In my thinking, Boeing is always suspect, especially on a Boeing 737-800 which is directly related to the MAX 8, 9, 10, series of jets. Could there have been MCAS system installed on this earlier model?

    • @moiraatkinson
      @moiraatkinson 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@SWExplorewell, MCAS wasn’t new when the MAX series came out. It had already been used in the military. Who knows? It’s another Boeing plane and China aren’t saying anything. The only thing I would say is, neither of the MAX accidents happened near the end of the flight and they didn’t dive from 38k feet or whatever. Their catastrophies happened as soon as the conditions of the MCAS system were met.

    From what I heard, they found a suicide note from the co-pilot in his hotel room.

      Do you have a source

    • @moiraatkinson
      @moiraatkinson ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I find this hard to believe, given nobody outside China nobody knows what happened. Do you see China releasing that piece of information when they won’t confirm or deny anything with international investigators? The co-pilot wouldn’t know that a cleaner wasn’t going to find it before the flight even left. In fact some sources on TH-cam say the co-pilot’s been made a scapegoat. The story about failed simulator tests etc sounds like disinformation too. A senior pilot with 40 years of experience fails basic flight input testing? What’s more, the Captain’s father was the guy who failed him? Really. This guy was the most senior pilot with his previous airline. He’d have been doing the testing, not taking the test!
      The only story that credible aviation sources have come out with that I’ve read, is that the co-pilot was the victim of over staffing after a merger and was forced to work as a co-pilot on reduced pay, which still makes it a terrible decision to have him working a flight underneath about the youngest Captain in the fleet.
      Boeing have said no aircraft would have fallen to the ground in this way and I was watching Dan Gryder the next day who was the first person I found to come out and say murder/suicide by the pilot was his best guess. At any rate, it seems certain somebody’s hands were on the controls pushing forward to make the plane descend so steeply. The footage captured by CCTV showed the plane hitting the ground in a completely vertical high speed dive.

      either the copilot or the captain was in control and he deliberately crashed the plane, however the only thing thats weird about this is that its a boeing 737 aircraft and its easily breachable unlike an a320, there are more questions to ask too, if deliberate, how did the person do it? there were 2 other people in the cockpit, and its rare if both of them are not in the place, 2nd question, why was the response so late, it gained 1.5k feet in only a few seconds, how was that executed and who did it, plus it dove again, my 3rd question is who had driven the plane down
      another weird theory i have is that the copilot under the controls had a heart attack and collapsed on the yoke making it nosedive because ive heard of a atr in kazakhstan crashing under similar circumstances, although this is less likely

    • @flyingtigerline
      @flyingtigerline 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@crypton7572Remember German Wings a few years ago? "Breaching" was not an issue as the perpetrator was the co-pilot and that was an Airbus. Similar situation here.

      @@moiraatkinsonEverything China says is a communist propaganda lie. Sure as hell they would cover this up. Dan Gryder on the other hand has often found a probable cause within says of a crash which often was close or exact as the NTSB or other countries agencies have found out "officially". He did an excellent job on the Joe Lara, Shemblin etc. Jet Crash, and did a good documentary about their "church" which is just a nasty non-Christian culture. He also found out facts about DB Cooper. So I'll trust him any day over anything by the CCp and their propaganda outlets

    I think it's obvious what happened, and how foolish of the airliner to let the co-pilot fly under the son of the man who had demoted the co-pilot. A perfect set-up for revenge. The maniac would have been bitterly suicidal AND homicidal.

    A worry and quite possible was a suicide.
    I have flown on that route on MU and also all Chinese airlines many times after working there and main issue to me was military controlled airspace and certain routes and cities always length delays.

    So the information at the beginning of the video is given to raise the question that the co-pilot may have deliberately crashed the aircraft to kill the pilot, to get back at the pilot's father who demoted him? Interesting theory.

    I've been wondering when someone would do this recreation? And it's been well over two years with both boxes recovered, had it been a system failure you would have heard about it already. China being Russia is a propaganda first country and reporting that this was suicide by pilot, and I've seen the video the plane was straight up and down and even if they had a stuck elevator it would still bring it down with some angled deflection and this was not that. No, I believe it was purposeful, given the pilots demotion and if it was the captains father who did it, it makes even more tragic sense, but again Chinas never gonna admit to that. It doesnt take 28 months to analyze the boxes the video the real circumstances so my bet is on mass murder suicide and that's not something you want to advertise coming to China.
    As a side note, say what you will about Boeings troubles, but flying vertical at almost the speed of sound and pulling out of it for a moment, that it didnt rip the plane apart? Thats damn impressive. RIP to all the dearly departed.
