So, I don't have an Element...yet. I'm looking for something I can drive to trailheads for hiking and sometimes sleep overnight inside of as well. What I'm not sure about is it's true AWB capability. I don't need off-roading capability, but I do want good AWD capability if there is some snow or mild dirt roads. Any thoughts from owners? How is real world gas mileage?
Hi Charlie thanks for watching and leaving a comment. The Honda Element is definitely one of the most practical and versatile cars out there. It's perfect for driving to trailheads and sleeping overnight, it's very spacious inside and the AWD version is more than capable for going off the path. Mpg I average 21-23 with 12 gallons not the best but well worth it.

Woah that's amazing. You have owned it for that long. It's very easy to remove the panel and add a loop to pull the handle. If you check out Elementdriven they have a easy kit to open the rear.
You have to do what makes you happy. I love making my car my own. See you removed your Rob Deezy roof rack. I ordered one in January, three months later, still have not received it! Grrr....
Hi Guillermo that's a great question. I've seen elements with over 400k miles on them. Now of course I wouldn't buy one with that many miles but it's good to know that they can run that long. I would say personally I wouldn't go with one that has more than 180k -200k miles. As long as it's had its maintenance and repairs you should be good.
The SC is a great option however if you are trying to camp or convert the inside go for a 03-07 the front seats slide forward more so it gives you more room in the back.
@@ReadySetElement we definitely do camping, but we r in florida ..so everything is gravel and we prefer tent camping n not car camping..i will definitely look for a sc

215 65 R16 Falken Wildpeak tires with stock 16inch wheels that the car came with.
