@nutchan0731 Sorry, I googled the above but cannot make out from the pictures where this film is localised. In the film it is said that it was taken in Kofu.
@nutchan0731 this is so interesting, emptying of town -- kudoka, as they say. in the video, after "Japanese farmers are very hard working people. Taro thinks he will not be a farmer" the movie switches to scenes about what kinds of jobs exist away from countryside : scientist, teacher, doctor, engineer, shipbuilder... "There are many things one might be in an industrial country like Japan." Taro's house and landscape so beautiful, and presumably he left to be one of those "many things."
@MichaelRogge there is not such mountain in kofu . kofu is basin. so mountains are connected. however 20 minutes driveing from kofu. it seems like that just see3:18 in your video there is cliff七里岩 and compare to mountain 茅ヶ岳 please try to google pics. thank you

There is no bustle of Kofu before any longer.
