Thing to note tho, even somewhat experienced scouts don't care about fall damage because they'll never be in a position where it's a danger. I main engineer and driller and only have a single promotion star on my Scout. I don't have all that many hours on the game, yet I can't remember the last time I had a fall accident with scout that was a result of me being a bad player. It's a nice QOL thing, but is largely unimportant with even a moderate amount of player skill

What's crazy about electrocuting focus shots is that the electrocution lasts 6s, 5 ticks per second, 4.5 damage per tick, which equals 135 damage. You're trading approximately 15 physical damage for up to 135 damage. You're still doing more total damage as long as you wait about 1 second between each shot since that already does 22.5 damage.
when I picked up this game, I ended up going directly to the scout, and honestly after playing through my first promotion I feel like the m1000 and the tracer guns as the secondary is my favorite weapon dynamic (although ironically I find myself using said secondary more often than the primary since I end up using the m1000 for big single target damage and the tracer guns for swarm control lmao)

best part about this gun is fact its amazing even with no overclocks. there is quite a lot of weapons in drg that needs overclock to be usable otherwise are pretty much trash (for example, subata, stubby, dual pistols, etc...). sadly overclocks themselves are rather meh, most interesting being hoverclock or hipster.
Honestly after the rework of gk2 and its overclocks as well I think that gk2 is actually the best target priority weapon in his arsenal just from the extreme burst damage it can have it with bullets of mercy OC which makes it super nice and shredding any super big target especially bulk detonators and oppressors with ifgs or if you want a super easy across cave kills AI Stability Engine is comfy for a lot of players but personally I just spray at range with gk2 with BoM and i pair it with cryo/phero bolts crossbow with ifgs to just play extreme utility, support, and priority target focus for the team

The m1000 is the best hands down but ai on the gk is good enough to hang, just like that AOE on overheat one on the plasma carbine. The fact that you can one hit grunts and webspitters alone make it the best. You need to be at the right angle for everything when using AI GK. Without that you're doing significantly less damage.
I agree that the gk2 is better, not sure about BoM being good though. I guess since you're building around it it gets better, but I never got into that
Hoverclock is only supposed to work with focus shots but if you're not the host then it will cause a bug that makes it so it works with normal shots. I think this is because when a player clicks because of ping and stuff the game thinks it's starting a focus shot causing the hoverclock effect to happen without actually using a focus shot and instead firing off a normal shot.
Electrocuting focus shots overall increase your focus shot damage because of the shock damage, allowing you to hit some unexpected breakpoints while being able to take ammo in tier 1. Best overclock imo aside from hipster. also the slowdown is really strong on shock, making some tanky enemies like bulks a breeze to deal with
Supercooling is still just outmatched by the Hipster. You can spam the Hipster and it will probably do somewhat similar or even better DPS than the Supercooling without requiring much precision. There's also the fact that the Hipster is more flexible, allowing you to take on waves of enemies and still do good damage against bigger enemies. They should just remove the max ammo reduction penalty because the other penalties are harsh enough.
Yeah, SCC is quite goofy in its current state but I still love how it gives m1000 some new funny breakpoints. For instance full-damage SCC can one-focus-shot a warden and a goo-bomber if it hits their weakpoints. As well as almost one-focus-head-shot patrol bots on sabotage so that they can be finished off extremely quickly. That makes 21123 SCC and blowthrough gas recycling zhukovs my go-to build against caretaker
The closest thing you can get in DRG to a 50 caliber sniper rifle is hyper propellant, which is effectively a high explosive 50 cal. With a very small explosion, but insane direct damage.
When I was a greebeard I mained tijs weapon and this weapon only so much that I perfected aim with it. I hit weakpoints at very awkward angels one shotting grunts and few shottting pretorians
Electrocuting Focus Shots will do more damage overall if you let the DoT tick down. Obviously it's not as good on enemies with shock resistance like Oppressors, but against medium-sized bugs like Slashers & Guards you can kill them with a charged bodyshot much more reliably if you wait out the AoE. Electric Focus also works very well with the Zhukovs with Conductive Bullets. If you grab Hollow-Point Bullets on the Zhukovs as well as Hitting Where it Hurts (stun Focus Shots) on the M1000 you can stun a Pretorian and then blast it to bits with the Zhukovs. It's my go-to loadout if I ever load onto a Fester Flea mission (since it's easy to kill fleas with focus shots.)
M1000 is cool on paper but GK2 has AI Stability Engine which makes the M1000 completely obsolete in every way possible. I'd even take GK2 without an OC over the M1000 with its best OC.

A few points: No one says the m1000 classic is the worst weapon in the game. That's not a thing, at all. I don't know where you got that from. Hoverclock - This is absolutely high haz viable. It actually is incredibly useful for juking enemies and saving yourself from falls. It's also just kinda better mobility than Active Stability System once you know how to use your movement tools. The M1000 classic really doesn't even need a boost to be good, and it shows with this overclock. Active Stability System - Don't use expanded ammo bags. Ever. You said this encourages you to use focus shots for swarms - don't. If you're shooting basic grunts, use unfocused shots. They always die in one weakpoint hit, or if you miss, two hits. Same ammo cost if you're bad at aiming, but with a chance to cost less. Hipster - This overclock is not good. Don't use it. It's trading the M1K's entire niche for effectively what the GK2 already does. You're actually going to likely be better off using the GK2 with AI Stability Engine because you aren't going to be missing half of your shots through spamming because of the ungodly recoil. Electrocuting Focus Shots - This overclock is also not very good in a general sense. It does theoretically do more damage, but most of its damage is over time. Also, some enemies are immune to the electrocution status which would make it a straight downgrade. One instance I've found where it's actually quite useful is Industrial Sabotage missions. It hits pretty important break points on Rival Tech enemies that greatly increases your weapon's ammo economy on those missions. Supercooling Chamber - This overclock is terrible. Don't use it. Its one upside does not balance out its three massive downsides. Basically the one thing it's okay at is Elimination, but you're gonna be gimping yourself on every other enemy in the mission because your ammo economy will be terrible while also shooting slower and leaving you more vulnerable.
WOAH WAIT.... Hoverclock makes you float with normal shots too?? How have i never... Noticed this?? Maybe its a PC glitch and doesnt occur on console? I swear i remember it only working on the focus mode but your video has made me second guess myself
That is the case if you play with a team and join as a client so very likely it only occurs on PC but who knows… There is a whole bunch of shadow techniques you can do with hoverclock as a client that I believe AxisKronos made a video on.
I hate this thing. Might be entirely cause I have shit aim, but I swear it misses even shots that for me are dead on target. And for what its supposed to be the damage feels underwhelming (again, might not be hitting as much as I need to). But I also dont feel like I have this problem with things like the gunners revolver, which also is a low ammo, high damage, precision weapon. Just something about the M1000 feels off. And no, hipster did not change this. Then again, I hate that I feel this way about certain weapons, which just makes me try them at different intervals, over and over again, so maybe this opinion gets flipped on its head in the future
@@qbcomicaddict2590 you already have all kill points, it’s about follow up shots. I’m personally almost always 2nd in kills only losing to Engis obviously and even them I beat sometimes haz 5+ only. I just don't like this weapon. Every time I try to use it, it ends up worse than the gk2.
7:08 ahem ahem DMR cough cough
WOAH WAIT.... Hoverclock makes you float with normal shots too?? How have i never... Noticed this?? Maybe its a PC glitch and doesnt occur on console? I swear i remember it only working on the focus mode but your video has made me second guess myself
That is the case if you play with a team and join as a client so very likely it only occurs on PC but who knows… There is a whole bunch of shadow techniques you can do with hoverclock as a client that I believe AxisKronos made a video on.
I like this weapon but I don’t use it because it annoys Mission Control

Afterbuff stubby guide
loved the intro
much rather the ai stability ar but yeah this is good too
crossbow triple shot can 2 shot a oppressor if all three hit it weak point
M1000 active stability overclock is bis for scout
It is so negligible for all the kill points that matter that I’m not sure it’s worth losing hoverclock
If you value focus speed and momentum while focusing take stability
@@qbcomicaddict2590 you already have all kill points, it’s about follow up shots. I’m personally almost always 2nd in kills only losing to Engis obviously and even them I beat sometimes haz 5+ only. With good positioning you can thin down entire hordes with blow through rounds before your teammates even get damage in. Hoverclock is strictly less dps for a class that’s already got the best movement.
Luckily this is a pve game so people can use what they want, still, this is the best overclock for scouts best weapon.
EFS kinda beats ASS tbh the only real thing you lose with EFS is fear in t5 cause stun is basically necessary with it
I just don't like this weapon. Every time I try to use it, it ends up worse than the gk2. It does less DPS, has less ammo, lower percentage uptime, is worse against swarms, is worse against single targets, is only slightly better at long-range sniping high-value targets, basically the only thing it has going for it is hoverclock (which is admittedly very cool) and I use special powder to fill the same niche. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I use the suggested builds and I've tried hipster and not hipster and the gk2 is just... better. In every way.
I agree. This gun is trash. Hipster makes it good though if you can land headshots reliably.
Idk why but I just can’t get this rifle to feel right. Perhaps because I’m on console but it doesn’t feel effective or satisfying to use
Hipster all the way lol
basicaly...
every wepon a class has is there best wepon
there all on even footing!
Hoverclock best grrrr 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
As long as the subata exists no other weapon will take the crown for being the worst
Subata’s single target is better than the supercooling chamber lmao
@@thiccum2668 dps wise yes, practically? No.
Try to put it into practice and get the same use as scc…
@@MushuaThePotato practically i find supercooling chamber to be trash and FAR outclassed by a volatile bullets + weakpoint subata build (which is actually good unlike most m1000 builds)
I mean, damn. How do you be taking a weapon that gimps your add-clear in a fkn HORDE SHOOTER
Hipster makes m1000 useable though, but only for the fact it makes it more like the other scout primaries. And when burst fire came out and made the gk2 more like the m1000, everyone hated it.
Hmmm, I wonder why….
@@thiccum2668 scouts whole purpose isn’t horde clear, but please by all means ignore that…
@@thiccum2668 it’s almost like the job of a scout is to take out high value targets and kite around enemies…
Which you don’t need horde clear ability to do if you have a competent driller or gunner or even engi…
М1000 не очень-то хороша, если играть в 15 FPS (проверено)
with hipster there is almost no reason ever to not use a charged shot unless you are running from a bulk or something, the damage down makes it to where you can no longer one shot grunts so it takes two shots anyway just use the charge shots. you are more accurate and the extra ammo is always useful.
Was struggling to damage dreadnoughts with the M1000 so went back to the assault rifle....
(Don't have overclocks yet)
I think the Subata is the strongest
You should use explosive reload, it will actually be the strongest then
@danielgalloway-yr4ib nah my pistol go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrt
Nah brt goes brrrr better
@qbcomicaddict2590 jeah but got a long brrrrrrrt
Hey javarak… dude… please get a better mic bro your channel is growing and it’s necessary expense my man. Please
the mic is fine. i think you have blown drivers in your headset
my aim isnt good :(
keep practicing ull get better!
So not the most op for me sorry, i used to exclusively run the m1k with hover clock or scc. Now i only run the m1k scc when im speed running haz 1 exterminations for promotions because i can 3 shot reg and hive dreads(twins are much harder). It is very powerful but in this game strength comes down to playstyle. I play with minimal hud, no ammo counter, no crosshair and no healthbars(think of a sim more or less). The g2k with aise is broken. The m1k is almost impossible to use at range.
🤓
2:29 I’m in neither of those groups nor have their opinions.
Hipster suck bro. If Scout is shooting grunts with his primary, then something has gone horribly wrong.
M1000 very stressful to use especially on controller.
Great for mnk.
I don't see that at all, considering I'm on controller.
Scout primary’s are all meh.
