Lyrics:
Come to me
Rest your head
Warm within
Ocean's bed
Rock and sway
Your worries down
Ebb and flow
Fast and sound
Come friends
Don't be afraid
Come my dears
Pains wash away
Stay with me
Be at peace
Fears be still
Troubles cease
Hear my voice
Sweetly sing
Lullaby
Precious thing
Come friends
Don't be afraid
Come my dears
Pains wash away
Away
Come follow
Sounds of seashells
Pull the line
That leads to me
Give heed to me
Follow me
Come to me
Close your eyes
Hear my song
Quickly now
Don't be long
Come friends
Don't be afraid
Come my dears
Pains wash away

This song is a great example of how Supergiant always goes the extra mile. They went and hired actual sirens to sing for them, outstanding.
Picturing SGG asking Darren Korb if he could make another banger soundtrack and he salutes and leaves for 2 days and comes back with literal sirens.
And all it cost was a few interns!
@@armintor2826 6 to be more precise, all eaten by Scylla. It was either that or losing the entire orchestra to Charybdis.
@@hopefulfriend4163He's married to Ashley, who has to be an actual Siren, so he probably knows where their actual cove is.
Wait what?? Is that true? If so that's incredibly cute
WE SAILING INTO THE ROCKS WITH THIS ONE, BOYS!
ROCK AND STONE!!!
LOL
Yes Captain
🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Isn't it supposed to be "We going down to hell with this, boys!"?
god I love how the closer you get to the source the louder the singing gets, it gets pretty hypnotizing within the ambience of Oceanus, I am not immune to a siren's call apparently
Your ass aint surviving the greek sailors life 💀
Same! I loved that attention to detail. They are literally hypnotising you to come closer to them. All of their songs are absolutely mesmerising too. Great region in general
Come closerrr~
Hell yes, I love this kind of dynamic sound design. Really feels like you're getting drawn in.
Yes, you'll never beat me ;)
If I came across these sirens I would simply let them take me out, I'm pretty sure
In other words, you'd let them Claw Out Your Eyes (And Drown You To Death)?
@@striderSA Don't forget of them dissing you about clothes and hair xD
With a rifle or on a date?
In a fight, right?
@@striderSA yes
I love the mixup here - in Hades 1, any time you heard music with lyrics during a run, it was always in a place where the lyrics were sung by a friendly character (Eurydice & Orpheus). In this game, you go into this area and hear a song with lyrics, likely expecting to find another character friendly to your cause, only to find out that you actually have to fight the singer :)
Can’t say i felt that, they instantly tell you it’s the syrens and the syrens are no bueno
As soon as I heard the lyrics I could tell the singer was bad news, but that's still an awesome switchup. Because now hearing the siren song get closer and closer builds up a huge sense of tension for the whole area the first time through.
I always loved going into Asphodel in the first game just because of the chance that I might get to hear Eurydice sing each run. Everytime I came across her room it was my routine to sit there for at least a couple of minutes just to listen to her songs, so I always had a big musical attachment to the second zone. I was wondering if they were going to opt out of that entirely in Hades 2, which was disappointing to think about but it seemed perfectly reasonable so I didn't expect too much going into my runs.
Imagine the sheer amount of dopamine in my brain when I first enter Oceanus and start hearing this hauntingly beautiful singing, getting louder and clearer with every room I advance into, literally singing 'come to me'. The theme of the area instantly gave away what was coming, but it was such a beautiful revelation that I still can't get over it every time I listen to this song. Absolutely flawless, beautiful execution!!!
i thought this was just me XD
isn't it similar to how the roar of the crowd gets louder and louder with elysium? I love it when environmental stuff like this is just a thing in the game
Supergiant has had at least one major song with vocals (not counting the credits) in every one of their games, there was no way they were gonna skip it this time.
Unsolicited storytelling time:
In the myths, Scylla was originally an ocean nymph. There are a few different versions of her transformation, but in the one I remember, some guy fell in love with her, but Scylla wanted nothing to do with him. He tried to chase her down, so she went into hiding.
So naturally the guy went and found Circe, the pig mage from the Odyssey. Circe fell in love with him, because this is Greek mythology, but this time *he* wanted nothing to do with *her,* and because this is Greek mythology, Circe reacted not by turning him into a pig like she usually does, but by poisoning the pools Scylla used for bathing. That was what warped Scylla into what she is now. IIRC in the myths it was also supposed to have driven her insane, hence her hanging out with Charybdis and eating a bunch of Odysseus' crew.
I'm not sure if they're going to use any of this in the game (although they've already referenced the fact that Scylla isn't a Siren), but if they do I suspect they'll probably say that her eating sailors, hating witches and gods, and hanging out with sirens is a form of revenge for all that shit, rather than a product of magical insanity.
According to the compendium, she is naturally on her girlboss shit even without the transformation, but her hatred did stem from being transformed.
@@haihuynh8772 Is that from the Book of Shadows? Or is there another compendium out?
@@Oops-All-Ghosts Book of Shadows.
ngl now I understand why sailors couldn't resist...
when the vocals started I just stood still in game for five minutes and listened to it. i don't know how you make me do this consistently in every game... i love you all. thank you for creating such beauty and joy.
Umm what? Like real life stuff? 😂
@@ayaya173 in Greek mythology sirens would sing alluring songs and sailors would hear it from afar, they couldn't resist the song and would change course towards the song, which would inevitably end in shipwreck because the island of the sirens was surrounded by rocks.
@@blacxthornE I get that, I'm pointing out that this is a myth, and that is not their real song. If you can use the word real here even :)
Literally. My first time in Oceanus Mel said something about the singing and I stopped dead to listen to it
@@ayaya173 why would you need to point that out ?
Feels like you completely misinterpretet the whole point of his comment lol
Major Transistor vibes with this one!!
I had the exact same thought! The sirens totally remind me of Red's singing!
Legitimately went: "WOOOOOO!!! ASHLEY!!!!" Like I was in a concert lmao
Edit: Found out this was Erin Yvette, sorry. Still, her voice is amazing
That trend where girl on top left corner hypes over singer with "Be Real" text LMAO
Same!!!
Super gutted to hear and see she's not more present in the sequel's OST though. Her voice perfectly compliments Korb's writing (and own voice)! 😔
@@JamesButlin We will always have Transistor which is pretty much 100% about Ashley's singing.
@@JamesButlin she's the only singer (apart from Darren) in every Supergiant game, personally I'm very glad were getting more variety
I arrived in Oceanus and my jaw dropped when I heard the voices begin to blend together and then the words started materializing like waves from the deep, caressing me into ENEMIES WHO DID A TON OF DAMAGE OMG Well done! I am in love with this song
this chord progression blends into Coral Crown, and the one in Song Of The Deep leads to I Am Gonna Claw, it's beautiful
Going down into Oceanus and hearing those vocals at first, I thought it was just background to the music -- until Melinöe commented on it. It struck me it was diegetic then, not merely music, and it seemed more involved than merely Homer as the 4th-wall-break narrator. Definitely pulled me forward -- and to my death against the enemies a few times!
The Transistor vibes are even better if you've equipped the Moonstone Axe, and Mel is dragging it along the ground behind her as she's running around. Such a beautiful callback, especially with the humming going on in the background...
bcfbfghdfghdfgh Holy chuff. I haven't unlocked that one yet, now that's all I'm going to be able to think about.
I'm loving the Transistor vibes, like the slowdown abilities and the Arcana Cards basically being Functions.
My thoughts exactly, it made me think of In Circles.
yeah! i just did this yesterday! the animations for that weapon go so hard
Transistor was my first Supergiant game and I will never not be impressed by their music & art combo punching me in the face
Ashley Barrett was already a siren to me 🙃💙
The vocals in this are Erin Yvette, not Ashley.
@@Mother_boardsAshley is doing backing vocals here but yes, main vocals are Erin Yvette
@@blacxthornE Who btw is also Arlecchino is Genshin Impact and Snow White in The Wolf Among Us, as well as also Dusa in Hades 2
Thanks Supergiant games. Now I have a song to listen when I'm going to work.
This song is stuck in my head permanently like the legends ordained. My life is forfeit for the Sirens to claim now
Getting major "In Circles" vibes from this song, which im totally fine with. Love both songs.
Something I love about this game is how well some of the areas foreshadow what's to come with their audio and visual elements. Entering Oceanus for the first time I just thought "oh cool, lyrical music!" and only realized the music in question was coming from sirens once I saw the pearl on the boss door.
You know it's a great game when one of the things you need to pick up in the shop is your jaw off the floor after hearing a literal Siren song. I was sitting there stunned for a couple minutes with chills just taking it in once i realized there was lyrics in this during the lull in combat.
Creepy to think this song is being constantly sung, until eventually someone at sea gets lost and hears it.
I had the hex that slows time and it glitched this song out so it was always slowed down and it became so ominous I loved it
great depiction of Sirens because i would 100% follow that voice to my doom
if i had a nickel for every time a smaller game studio had a siren type enemy with a beautifully enchanting song that i couldnt help but sit and listen to, i'd have two nickels, which isnt alot but it's weird it happened twice
What’s the other one?
this one is so peaceful....❤❤
THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK
YOU'RE AIMING FOR THE ROCKS LAD
As soon as I heard it I knew I was gonna put it on loop for 2 hours straight
До сих пор помню, как первые нашел Эвридику. Стоял, боясь спугнуть, чтобы не перестала петь. Эта песня ещё лучше.
I need more scylla in my life
you can't stay away, seems every day you keep coming back here...
now it's plain to see, you wanna be under the sea, with your favorite sirens...
you're so obsessed with me
not that I can blame you for it; i would be too if i were you...
@@blacxthornE they legit made a siren song! I wish there were a full album of it!
Darren Korb is a gift to humanity
Darren Korb just made the official unofficial soundtrack for any TTRPG group that encounters sirens. Not only the song that lures them, but also the song that plays during combat. Fucking brilliant
I remember when I first got to Oceanus and the lyrics of this song first started. I was looking at Pom of Power options, and the first words I made out were "Don't be afraid..."
Before I had the context of the lyrics being Sirens luring in sailors, I thought the game was directly telling me to calm the hell down as I was very much on edge between a brand new biome I knew nothing about, and Eris' bloody curse.
Now if you put this against "the Lament of Orpheus" or "Good Riddance" from the first game, then you have the Orpheus vs the Sirens from myth.
cool thinking!!
i need to reread the myths again lol
I have a theory that this song is the "enchanted" version. When you go through the level, something so melodious and pleasant plays, but when you go to the sirens, they are actually singing about how they will drown you. The music, the motive itself and some of the lyrics are the similar to Coral Crown. I wish that's true.
They beat my ass, but man that was a cool song.
Same, I managed for a few minutes looked at their barley scratched health bar and went I'm getting my ass Absolutely handed to me 🤣
This is one of the best things I've encountered in a game in a long time. I've been playing games for longer than some of you ever existed. Anyway, I had no clue while playing through Oceanus. After like my 5th walk through, I started to notice: "Oh, that's these bloody Sirens singing in background when I play through the levels". It's really very good what you've created, not just with that part of the game. Love it. It's an incredible early access. Thank you.
After listening to the "Extended" Transistor OST for so long, I immediately recognized the humming in the beginning as Ashley Barrett's, and that made me so happy!
I'm a baritone sax player and now I need to emulate the pizzicato part . Love the music and all the supergiant team work ❤
My fav part of the game, so iconic and stunning
When I first heard this last night I think I just....stood and listened to it until it looped. Serious Transistor vibes and I loved every second of it! Supergiant Games always go above and beyond with their soundtracks 😍😍😍
So glad this is on TH-cam
This is what we all hear when we want to go to bed but we're only halfway through our shift.
The ending of this is so satisfying. In general I love how the music continues to play throughout the level and then ends on the final part upon entering the last shop room before the boss
i'm like 90% sure they used water and some stones in a bottle as an instrument and im all for it!
You know, I used to sail with Odysseus. Then I heard this song and frankly, it was so beautiful I practically crashed the boat against the rocks!
Ashely is back
"That song is stuck in my head"
Me too Odysseous, me too
You know it’s gonna be good when Zag returns to compose
GOD! Literally, this song alone sold me the game. I'm awake at 4 am listening to this and I practically stoped functioning a couple of minutes for how excited this song made me feel. I can't wait to find it in game aaaaaaa
NEED this on Spotify
Using this at .75 speed in a DnD game as a siren-esque monster. I can't help listening to it while I think, write and plan: It's utterly enchanting and I can't help set my pen down sometimes. Seems it does the whole "bewitching mortal minds" a little too well...
Instant fucking classic.
Love you guys and everything you do, would love to see Scylla and the Sirens live in concert!!!
Thank god I got a steam deck a couple weeks ago, I’m loving hades 2 so far
Hades 2 plus the Pokémon fan games I have access to makes my Steam Deck worth it!

when it’s added come back and remind me😭🥲 i need it so badd
@@cigaretteleggedjeans same please
It is on spotify now
I was singing along to this....
Should I be worried?
Its really hipnotizing
As i first entered a shop in oceanus i just sit there and listen to this banger, the last time i needed to rest to listen to the music was from risk of rain 2, i listen to this trakc casually while doing groceries haha, nice song
The fact that the voices of the siren in this game actually entranced me and made me bop while fighting her, made me love this game so much.
the added bonus was that when I noticed the drums and the guitar die out if you defeat them, or the vocal, being muffled when prioritized. I was sad and disappointed cause I can't vibe with it as much anymore.
Something cool to note is that whenever this song is playing, you know that coral crown will be the boss music. When the other song plays, you know that "im gonna claw" is going to be the boss music
Sirens in Myth: Enchanting creatures that stupefy sailors to their deaths that they may feed.
Sirens in Hades: Multi-genre artists whos music is just so good that sailors never want to stop listening to it.
When i first hit Oceanus, I thought it was Orpheus singing forlornly down in the depths. Boy, was i wrong.
i need this one on spotify
I cried when I got here I loved it so much. Then they killed me.
I found my new work, work out, sleep and chill playlist
Scylla and the sirens, everybody!!!
this is the reason i keep dying my man
When this came on in game I was freaking out
Playing this level was incredible if only for the music. Loving early access!
I love this song !!! perfectly tells us the misterious / insidious story of the Siren.
they made this song extremely well
it legitimately makes me sleepy
I can’t wait for the full game release I need this right now but have to listen to the soundtrack I can’t help it and hades was so amazing I just know I’m going to love hades 2 ❤
The moment I heard it in-game it became my fav
Certified hood classic
The whiplash of going from this subtle build-up to the absolute Character(tm) Scylla is...
Wow this game has great music. So enchanting.
I cannot wait to buy the Hades II ost, it is UNREAL.
Ashley is just making sweet love to that microphone isn't she? Yeesh she was amazing in the first Hades and she's still amazing now. :D
Hades 2 calling to me when I've got a billion other things to get done be like
Haunting!
holy its a banger

What a banger
Beautiful song. I love how the length of each line of lyrics combines into a wave-like shape. I wonder if that was intentional or a fun coincidence?
u aint catching supergiant lacking with these soundtracks
Haven't had a chance to play the game yet kinda want to wait for full release to get a week off. Stumbled on Coral Crown and now listening to this beauty on repeat. Ashleys voice is always so beautiful my eyes water so i have this on repeat now.
while Ashley is in the band, the main vocals are by Erin Yvette
@@blacxthornE You are incorrect in the game band. Erin is the lead singer. but in this song it's Ashley singing. Her voice is distinct enough you can tell. Erin doesn't really sing.
@@ChessPieceHalloween This song is Erin. Ashley's voice is a little lower and more solid. Compare In Circles to this to see, or Signal.
@haihuynh8772 Its Ashley you know she has a very good range right for her singing?
@@ChessPieceHalloween She cannot suddenly change the quality of her voice over night silly. Again, compare Signal to this, this is Erin's voice.

this is top tier
Insanely well made!
I SURVIVED THE TRANCE LADS, I COULDN'T ENJOY THEIR SONG BUT I DID MANAGE TO FIRST TRY THEM. Now i am here to actually do the right thing and get entranced.
The first time I met Scylla and the sirens I actually got so distracted by their song and died 😅 i mean i would've died anyways I was so unprepared but that was the quickest death probably
Upvote if you like to hang out with your favorite sirens
If i am on a boat and hear this music, I'll be the first one overboard
