I really like Aus 10. I have many knives in that steel.
Eafengrow makes some of the absolute best affordable knives. Even their folders are worth a look. They are knives people buy to use. Many Eafengrow knives have seen some hard use.

Damn. I saw this one on Amazon and was considering it... made me really sad I got the ef 143 though. Had I known they were gonna drop this, I would've waited 100%.

Which is your favorite: EF 143 or EF 148 ???
The 148 has the handle under an angle, I do not know if that is desirable.....
I own the 143, which has a straight handle , I like it very much, although on the heavy side to carry on belt or in backpack.🙄

Hi there, I just got the 148, but I am a bit disappointed......
The handle feels not good in my hand (size 9, large).
Handle is too big, and feels squared.
I have rounded off the edges of the handle with sandpaper.
It is better now, bit still not happy with it.
The 143 feels so much better, much better handle, better balance, and a bit lower weight.
For sure this is my personal preference !
How does the grip compare to the EF143? 143 looks a little better contoured.

The grips are micarta with G10 spacers ,I just ordered mine and Amazon has them discounted at 30% for Black Friday/Monday making it $55 plus tax ,a fantastic deal except for them being ChiCom made 😞,it's unfortunate that these great knives help enrich our main competitor and very possible enemy but that's life ,my collection is at 50 plus knives with only 5 made in China
Don’t buy it if you feel that strongly. US politicians sold America to China years ago. Did you type your response on an American made computer or phone? Are all your clothes American Made? Sneakers? Your car? It’s a no win situation. I will never feel guilty. Banks have been playing all sides of the field since Napoleon. When we go to war with China and we will. Globalized central banks will be lending money to all sides. Smoke and mirrors bread and circuses. Shit they will be printing so much money at the press of a Chinese made keyboard the greatest of our grandchildren will be paying for it all.
Je veux dire que le prix est vraiment très bas pour de l AUS 10 et que par le passé, la marque Eafengrow a était prise en flagrant délite tromperie, concernant les aciers annoncés..J espère que tout est rentré dans l ordre !
I am not sure. The Eafengrow rep has said they changed manufactures since the issue. I have done hard testing on all my Eafengrow. I am happy with the results. If you are uncomfortable about EF definitely do not purchase it. Plenty of other great knives out there.
