Coming back on the release day of "This is Why" to re-listen to their whole album catalogue before the release of the new album in February. Amazing how Paramore has grown as a band since these days. That's not to say they were bad here - in fact, they started off great and only went up from there.
i know every single lyric every single chord to every single song theyve ever made until the self titled. i personally dont like the new music they make since i lie progressive stuff but since i was 8 years old (im 24) they were my first favorite band and THIS is my favorite album. the first three albums are unmatched by anything they did after, theres a reason why all we know is falling, riot!, and brand new eyes are legacies in the emo community. because these were serious and pioneering albums. their new music is great but does not have anywhere near the cultural or musical importance or impact that these do. sorry about the tangent but as an old fan its disrespectful to hear they got better from the first few because anyone who was there in their peak would tell you otherwise.

Also this album had lots of backing vocals in most of the songs (all) especially Franklin about being away from Home and I love Jason's backing vocals in it and Josh's at the end of Franklin end part
Love these guys! Gad they're back. Love this debut. I tell everyone this is truly one of the best debut ROCK albums in the past 20 yrs. Not doubt. The riffs are huge and tight, and Hayley belts it out! Awesome stuff. It ALL only gets better from here. But don't take this first one for granted. It's got all we've come to know and love about Paramore.
since back in 2007 when i first heard them up until now, this is by far my favorite album, followed by brand new eyes and riot!. i couldnt listen after self titled but just my preference i like more progressive stuff not indie. its a shame this doesnt get the recognition it deserves

Paramore hasn't released anything good since 2009. Their first three albums embody what the band is about and 99% of bands either don't get three good albums or their songs just don't reach you the same way by the fourth album

I remember discovering Paramore. I was drunk and enjoying emo music, but Paramore is more than just the emo genre if you know what I mean.
