For those of you that don't know this: Hayley wrote this song about abusing love. She's talking about what it was like when her parents separated and then divorced. this song has honestly saved my life "i've seen you cry way too many times/ when you deserve to be alive" thank you paramore, and this music is honestly so wonderful
went and saw them live last year, they usually tend to play newer material at their shows and they stick to a track list that doesn’t consist of any of the material from all we know is falling. it’s really disappointing because this is my favorite paramore song and it sucks i might never get to hear it performed live
Y'all can hate on me, but IMO this was their best music by far. Nothing will ever touch this compared to what they put out new. This was just so much more raw and full of emotion.
+James Cioffi This is honestly the best Paramore track ever, particularly the Crab Mix version. So much talent in this it's unreal. Pressure, Emergency, My Heart, For a Pessimist..., Hallelujah...I mean *that stuff*, is "my" Paramore.
I’m so mad for just now finding out about paramore, I’ve never been a fan of this type of music until now but man are they amazing. Much love for anyone listening in 2022 onwards.
Don'r be. I just found out about them in 2019,then i decided to named my daughter after Hayley williams. The bond that Paramore creates with their fans is different.😎
Bless y’all’s heart’s. I was right there when all these bands were droppin gems. Never would have guessed Paramore was going to blow up all over the mainstream like they did. Especially being from my city (Nashville) and NOT be country. They proud of her around here.
Dont beat yourself up about it. It was like 3 months ago I barely got into them. Never could get into emo pop punk but I cant imagine going back to when I didnt like it. All we know is falling and riot are classics
I fucking love Paramore. It's so sad that they're down to only 2 members now. That's hardly a band anymore. That's why I like to go back to old songs of theirs like this to reminisce about how they used to be and how much of an awesome band they are, cuz I'm honestly really gonna miss them when they're gone
I have to agree with most people I do like Paramore's older songs much better than the. New ones. Just because people prefer Paramore's older music it doesn't mean they aren't dedicated fans! It just means we like the more rock music rather than the new pop mainstream Paramore. And it's not that I hate the new songs they've come up with I just prefer the older ones that's all. EVERY ONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINION!!!!
and you can still enjoy them in concert because on there FOB tour there on now they even did mostly old songs and only like 4 or 5 from new cd and they even did pressure and emergency and stuff they havent done in a while like for a pessamist and born for this on the tour also and some like saying sorry i herd they did
English isn't my native language so usually I just go through the motion of the music. All these years I've listened to this song, only now I actually stopped to pay attention to the lyrics and there's just a beautiful message in it. I know now that it's about Hayley's parents' divorce, but when she says: "I can't pretend that I don't see this" and "you deserve to be alive"... it just sounds like she's trying to make a call for help to save someone with heavy level depressi0n. I can imagine she went through that at the time and maybe her parents told her these words, but I really appreciate her putting them in the song. For anyone that may feel like this, know that you're not alone, it's really an emergency and you should seek for help. And if you see someone going through this, don't pretend to not see it and try to help. We all deserve to live.
I'm a student from Japan. I've been still studying English. I have no clue what this song is about, but I really like it. I rarely comment, but I think it made me do it. I SUPPER LOVE IT! Thank you.

Every band has its own old school period and mature phase .... Now they are adult people around 35 years old .... The grow up and dedicated to make music .... not just pop-punk for teenagers ..... We all have to grow up !

@@zmoonias2367 you're right actually, nowadays it's only pop music and trap on the mainstream, back then there was space for rock, rap, pop, soul, jazz and etc.
Ignorance Is Your New Best Friend no please stop..its not about growing up ive seen a video where its about what the fans want so they have to do that different music. Half like the rock punk and half like rock pop and they lose fans cuz of it and they say that its hard cuz they lose fans after making music for them.
Even then they still do emo pop from time to time, Be Alone was an example of this. I personally think Self-Titled was their best album too, as it has the biggest variety in songs and the sheer amount of content on it is huge compared to other albums. I do love their older stuff as well, but they're just as awesome now as they always were.
Gives me goosebumps watching these old songs I loved growing up helping me with life and depression. Now it seems like Hayley is going through it with her solo career. I just feel alot of depression from her newest songs and feel sad and then I go back to this and feel alive again. Hope everything works out for her for whatever she's truly searching for in life
I know they were on a low budget with this album but I love the mix for this! It’s like she’s doing call and response with herself. She says “i think we have an emergency” twice and it’s followed by double vocal stacks (in unison). Basic or not, it’s very fitting for the song 🙌🏽 I hope they re-record the whole album (just for fun) for the 20th anniversary, though it probably wouldn’t hit the same when Josh isn’t there
Friends Project is the new MySpace. It’s a website that came out around the same time as MySpace and at the time, people thought it was going to be it’s replacement before Facebook came. But some teenagers are discovering it and ditching TikTok for it.
Only discovered this song like a year or two ago.. I still come back to it because it has that angsty post-hardcore/ emo feel to it which I miss these days
that the music buisness though, you want to continue making money and staying relevent, change every aspect that made you who you were, and if you don't your label drops you like a bag full of spiders and finds a replacement. it fucking sucks :(
my crush in the 8th grade had this as her MySpace profile song. Everytime I listen i get reminded of my kinda emo phase. I still know her but we are adults now and that era is long gone
I really hate when people say omg I miss old paramore because for me I'm always with Paramore. I love all their songs I don't dislike any I've been with them since I was kid. I'm what you call dedicated. I listen to their songs everyday and that will never change
I don't miss 'the old paramore', they're paramore regardless of what they decide to do. I miss their old muscial style, though. Only have a single song from their latest album, their tastes changed a bit too much for me. Compare... emergency to music from the last album. Sounds like a completely different band, although, yes, technically speaking, they are still paramore.
When your mom love Paramore and another 00's bands, and always listening their music, when you a little kid, and now, you are a teenager, you too fall in love whit their music. This feeling is beautiful. Sorry, my bad english, i'm hungarian.
Definitely in my top 3 Paramore songs so f ing good, the light and shade, rise and falls and the breaks, all come together so well, Hayleys vocal on point and amazing as ever 😊
Since some of you are bringing up how much attention Hayley had back in these days, she fought and fought to have the band included too. When the Farros left they started listening to her. Who knows, maybe she threatened to stop the attention focused on her.
“Its really not your fault that no one cares to talk about it, cause ive seen love die way too many times when it deserved to be alive ive seen you cry way too many times when you deserve to be alive”
I know how amazing her voice is but this makes me regret life till I destroy it just to love it all over again. It's like a weird cycle of regret and love overflowing into every limb of my body every single time I hear her voice. She's amazing.
I wish I was born earlier! But I love this music! My generation will never have this. I think we can all agree, this era will be loved and missed. 🤟🏻✌🏻
Me too!! I’m looking at all of the comments, talking about their memories and nostalgia, and I seriously can't relate. I still really enjoy Paramore though. I feel like I'm living out their phase but in a different era.
It was amazing in the worst way. Because all this emo music made me even more sad while my world was already imploding. It helped and made everything worse. It was a beautiful curse. 😂
I loved Paramore back then. And I keep coming back to their old stuff. Their new songs are not for me (coming here after Tell me why), but they have a discography where everybody can find something for themselves.
I love the old things the most too but still listen to some new songs They grew up and changing their sound is totally normal Just like you growing up and still preferring their old stuff

thank you paramore, and this music is honestly so wonderful
I came here because I just randomly kept singing this and it got stuck in my head. Ohhh nostalgia.
Why have they not been playing this song live? This is hands down one of their best songs.
yeah this is one of the songs ever
Facts
I’ve been listening to their live version on the final riot album. She sings so well live!
went and saw them live last year, they usually tend to play newer material at their shows and they stick to a track list that doesn’t consist of any of the material from all we know is falling. it’s really disappointing because this is my favorite paramore song and it sucks i might never get to hear it performed live
i loved this when i was younger
And now you dont?
ANNA panda of course i still love it and listen to it😊
my favorite part is when she sings, "these scars they will not...fade...away" it gives me chills
at 2:35
Y'all can hate on me, but IMO this was their best music by far. Nothing will ever touch this compared to what they put out new. This was just so much more raw and full of emotion.
Agree, but well, 2 members leaving the band it's something really hard for a band
+James Cioffi Agreed 100%
+James Cioffi Agree, but the new songs isn't that bad, Part ll and Future are really nice.
+James Cioffi This is honestly the best Paramore track ever, particularly the Crab Mix version. So much talent in this it's unreal. Pressure, Emergency, My Heart, For a Pessimist..., Hallelujah...I mean *that stuff*, is "my" Paramore.
+James Cioffi my favorite is crush crush crush, but I'm an 80's kid so...
BESTIE SAME HELP
Bless y’all’s heart’s. I was right there when all these bands were droppin gems. Never would have guessed Paramore was going to blow up all over the mainstream like they did. Especially being from my city (Nashville) and NOT be country. They proud of her around here.
Dont beat yourself up about it. It was like 3 months ago I barely got into them. Never could get into emo pop punk but I cant imagine going back to when I didnt like it.
All we know is falling and riot are classics
Damn, I grew up with paramore
Paramore is one of those bands I wish I knew earlier in life.
It was a hell of a time man, 2005 was during my teenage years.
Same
BUAGH agreed. So grateful, that my friend got me into them!!
You missed out dude. I've been seeing them live since 2007, it's been life changing but welcome to the club!!!
same :( I miss it sooo muchhh!@@thesilentcartographer5575
I fucking love Paramore. It's so sad that they're down to only 2 members now. That's hardly a band anymore. That's why I like to go back to old songs of theirs like this to reminisce about how they used to be and how much of an awesome band they are, cuz I'm honestly really gonna miss them when they're gone
Who left?
+thePKfyre I heard that too back in June and I researched it last week and Haley said to expect it by December
Zac is back! Zac Attack!
Look at 21 pilots, they're 2 man band lol
m3gAm37aLmAnX Panic! just is Brendon now!
EVERY ONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINION!!!!
and you can still enjoy them in concert because on there FOB tour there on now they even did mostly old songs and only like 4 or 5 from new cd and they even did pressure and emergency and stuff they havent done in a while like for a pessamist and born for this on the tour also and some like saying sorry i herd they did
totally agreed
Wherever you are, whomever you are……whenever you've heard this song, it seems to stay with you for life.
Fact.
2:45 that guitar solo dudee you can feel the 2006 vibes XD
Mr Ass i literally got chills the first time i listened to it smh

This part of the song makes me feel some type of way I can't explain- 😭❤

Yup agree.. ur right. I feel it too.. make me tears
Nostalgia, sad, hope and beauty at the same time. That's crazy
@@silvercookiexd870 👁👄👁 sup
Thank you.
Old school Paramore is the best. ❤🤘
If you like you could listen to □PENUMBRA - Sacrificio (Video Lyrics)□ it's a similar style, maybe you like it too. I'd love to know your opinion about them.
🤘
Any- school Paramore is the best.
Every band has its own old school period and mature phase ....
Now they are adult people around 35 years old .... The grow up and dedicated to make music .... not just pop-punk for teenagers .....
We all have to grow up !
I miss them so much
So weird how mainstream changed so much from early 2000s. I guess thats just part of growing up, just glad I was able to experience it with ya'll even tho none of us met. amen.
Finally someone who is not like oh new music is trash now and know that you have to move on
mainstream? This album was not even close to being mainstream
@@docc_ Lol you've misheard me and I dont blame you I've misspoke a bit here, But what I meant was how mainstream back then had unique taste of music on what to play on the radio and tv. Aight fam.
@@citlaliargueta3306 Lol dont get me wrong some of nowadays music is absurd but theres some that still make me head bang but just in a different taste don't mean dont like it lol I don't get me wrong I was on the hate train a while back but now I ride solo and thats the best decision I've made so far.
@@zmoonias2367 you're right actually, nowadays it's only pop music and trap on the mainstream, back then there was space for rock, rap, pop, soul, jazz and etc.
You never grow out of Paramore
2008 was PEAK Warped Tour
Happy 10th anniversary
15 years now ❤️
lol
15 💙
16yrs now...
How long has it been? For reala......
I still and always will love Paramore, I just wish they could bring back the emo/rock songs again...
They still do occasionally. Be Alone was a perfect recent example from Self Titled.
same but some people don't like that
they've grown up. you think Hayley still wants to sing that emo shit? rock maybe but emo nahhh
My favorite band back in middle school ❤ It's been ages
Katrina Simon omg hell yeah
Katrina Simon I have to its crybaby and this one paramore
Katrina Simon hell yea
Why does everyone say middle school?? Is anyone on youtube over the age of 21?? Paramore was my favorite band in high school.
I love you Paramore. You got me through some hard times.
Gives me goosebumps watching these old songs I loved growing up helping me with life and depression. Now it seems like Hayley is going through it with her solo career. I just feel alot of depression from her newest songs and feel sad and then I go back to this and feel alive again. Hope everything works out for her for whatever she's truly searching for in life
They had a really good stuff in 2000s. Idk why they couldn't stay together
@@Caendler ego and money
definitely the best paramore song imo. riot and all we know is falling were pop punk masterpieces.I miss them and early FOB aswell as MCR and blink.
+Koven nV nO NOT MCR FEELS
+Marshall Lee you haven't heard of blink 182 please tell this is a joke.😂
+Marshall Lee Go listen to blink you wont regret it
***** they are really good tbh
paramore will always be my favorite. beginning to end, great band!
I know they were on a low budget with this album but I love the mix for this! It’s like she’s doing call and response with herself. She says “i think we have an emergency” twice and it’s followed by double vocal stacks (in unison). Basic or not, it’s very fitting for the song 🙌🏽 I hope they re-record the whole album (just for fun) for the 20th anniversary, though it probably wouldn’t hit the same when Josh isn’t there
Ah, the Myspace era 💔
Yep... I remember the graphics of their MySpace profile for each album. Then everything's changed 😭
also friendster too right?
Early days of Facebook
I just recently went to my old MySpace account and everything was gone and all of the old places where pictures were are just blank boxes
This album is one of the few from the emo scene that aged very well. Paramore could release this today and it would still hit.
I love how Haley describes how she feels about her crowd God bless her she is awesome
This is the first song i heard by them and i fell in love. I wish Paramore would come back.
There's gonna be a new album this year
yep there is and I cant wait anymore
I guess he meant "all together"
Same man
Clayton Sage this was my first song too, my big brother introduce me to them
If they're really bringing punk back i recommend she brings this hairstyle back too and that's on Emo lol.
Lets be honest girls hairstyles were so much better back then dude lol.
Not really punk rock maybe more métal no?
2020 🤟🤟🤟 paramore forever ❤️
@@yericapena186 yep paramore forever
@@mathieuputois5020 this is sarcastic right? Haha
They are pop rock hahah
Since they went pop, watching this band's old music videos is like watching home videos of a dead family member who you loved very much.
"went pop"..
Cameron Warren went popular.... as in it is a REALLY good thing haha
***** or they might not speak english as their first language you never know! Also you don't need perfect grammar in youtube comments tbh :)
***** no not really ain't nobody got time fo that bro :D
that the music buisness though, you want to continue making money and staying relevent, change every aspect that made you who you were, and if you don't your label drops you like a bag full of spiders and finds a replacement. it fucking sucks :(
I remember seeing them live 3 times in 2006. Hanging and talking with them after they opened for other bands.
Great memories.
Never happened.

my crush in the 8th grade had this as her MySpace profile song. Everytime I listen i get reminded of my kinda emo phase. I still know her but we are adults now and that era is long gone
I think this is their most underrated song.

I really hate when people say omg I miss old paramore because for me I'm always with Paramore. I love all their songs I don't dislike any I've been with them since I was kid. I'm what you call dedicated. I listen to their songs everyday and that will never change
Amen dude!!!
Omg, I hate it too! They are still paramore.
David Delgadillo
they've evolved and they're happier now, it's not a bad thing.
I feel like I was led on by the old paramore. Only way to describe it.
When your mom love Paramore and another 00's bands, and always listening their music, when you a little kid, and now, you are a teenager, you too fall in love whit their music.
This feeling is beautiful.

Yes, and she started the band when she was only 15 years old :)
Definitely in my top 3 Paramore songs so f ing good, the light and shade, rise and falls and the breaks, all come together so well, Hayleys vocal on point and amazing as ever 😊
This band turned me into a metalhead. I wished i could be a teen in 2008 again. Loved it 😢
Best song! I love it and I want more of that from PARAMORE. ♥
You can feel the 2006 radiating off it and I love it for that
Crazy times
2005 feels
Since some of you are bringing up how much attention Hayley had back in these days, she fought and fought to have the band included too. When the Farros left they started listening to her. Who knows, maybe she threatened to stop the attention focused on her.
No, they left because it was becoming all about her. She was selling out to herself
That is not what Josh said in his 'blog' when he explained why they left.
Hateful Crowd Rene Descartes It does not matter why they left. The only thing we can say is that Paramore are not the same without them.
Luís Silva I think Paramore is fine without them. They weren't anything special anyway.
Karey Wilken well true fans understand. And i didn't said that they aren't fine. They sound diferent.
Isso é arte musical
Era mesmo, mas infelizmente ela se entregou de vez a indústria e agora canta de fralda ou mostra a banda.
Takes me back to 8th grade when this album dropped. I picked it over Norma Jean at ol FYE. Always be on the top of my Playlist

Me too!! I’m looking at all of the comments, talking about their memories and nostalgia, and I seriously can't relate. I still really enjoy Paramore though. I feel like I'm living out their phase but in a different era.
Same I wish I was born in like 1999 or sum
It was amazing in the worst way. Because all this emo music made me even more sad while my world was already imploding. It helped and made everything worse. It was a beautiful curse. 😂
I loved Paramore back then. And I keep coming back to their old stuff. Their new songs are not for me (coming here after Tell me why), but they have a discography where everybody can find something for themselves.
I love the old things the most too but still listen to some new songs
