We have bred far to many pets + the ones from hoarders. All pets should be fixed per default and breeders should have a special permit to have unfixed ones, to avoid stuff like this tbh.

You are very effective. You may not realize how far your ripple effect reaches, but it’s there. Thank you for all you do. And when you need to step away for a bit.... Do it! For those who can’t make BIG steps financially, maybe you can point out little ways to help. It takes a village, right? Poor little critters. Some people think cats are happier, that they are better off outdoors, but they aren’t. They often live short, violent lives, and suffer so much from the weather, fights with other animals, fleas, ticks, etc etc. Thanks so much for helping these little ones. I wish all these situations had happy endings.
Me & the Wife do the same in our area and love your videos Chris. 16 kittens in a week about 2 weeks ago. 5 Kittens @ about 5-6 weeks & then 7 @ 4-5 weeks. & a mother who had 4 babies in our spare room 2 days after catching her! NO he's saying I really miss my mama and this dark house gives me the willies and there's no replacing a mother's milk to a kitten. He purposely orphaned these poor kittens and all you folks can do appoint him to sainthood.
I know it is what you needed to do to catch these wild kittens, but my heart broke each time each kitten was caught. They were so scared! But at least they were going to a better place!
It looks so easy to catch them but it can take hours and hours. Thanks to all those who volunteered thier time to help the overlooked or marginalized. And also, thanks for sharing, it makes a difference!
Every time you looked at little Midnight ( that's what I call the black one) and said you were going to catch him/her it was "Oh no you're not. I'll get near that snappy thing , I'll get on top,but not in it." Old school sneak up and snatch worked though. I had to do that for one of the rescues that eventually became a pet.
Aeval K , I tried that and got my hand torn to shreds. I got into a wrestling match with a tiny kitten, and I lost, bigly. She's still living on the streets, and recently gave birth.
I agree it's not something most should try. In my case I became familiar with the little one, (he would run back under one of the sheds out of reach) and took precautions when I had to catch one for a vet visit. The two kittens eventually became house cats, it took a little work, but before fall that year both were safely inside following around our miffed house cat. Although I managed to get them comfortable with humans and houses (one was terrified by the sound of the furnace coming on) and they learned to use a litter box by watching Khan, attachments had set in so finding another home was out of the question. I've always had cats as pets and seem to have way with them. I am very careful though and do not advise others to attempt catching a feral or stray without using a trap. Other than getting shredded hands and arms there are diseases to be concerned about.

We just saved an abandoned little tiny 5 week old gray kitten from under my neighbor's porch! We are keeping him safe, cared for,, and loved forever!
