This Story is Classified as HFY or Humanity Feck, Yea , but what does the Mean?
    -------------
HFY is a story/series that takes a “human element” in either humanity or an “other” (race/species or object) that exists in a “setting” (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanity’s race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.
    -------------
Taken from the FAQ of the r/HFY subreddit.
Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don't always put a positive spin on humans\humanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

Correction: there is another statement, coming from a Human's mouth that almost guarantees havoc, potential loss of physical integrity and overall chaotic shenaningans: Hold my Beer.

Additional note if the Human speaker is from the state of Florida in the Human nation known as the United States of America the odds of damage, injuries and chaos increase by 400%

Very well written, and a delightful story. I loved the "Oops!" translated meaning for the alien.

I like this one. Both because Cat, and thus, always a win, but also because of the things about Death Worlders is laid out a bit better here. It's not that a Death World is simply going to kill you all the time. It's that it's adapted to be able to do so at any moment in a number of ways.
Most species in these grew up on worlds that got it in one, no mass extinctions in their histories, so their biospheres aren't very diverse, leading to them lacking a lot of the general purpose chemicals or physical evolutions that life on Earth has to have to be able to thrive in its variety of biomes.
Sure, some of them are stronger, faster, and smarter, but they never do all three at once. The strong ones aren't fast, the fast ones aren't smart, and the smart ones aren't strong. Meanwhile humans average out to do all three just a bit better, and with better regeneration and natural defenses and adaptations.
A human may not spike the highest in any one area, but it spikes in a myriad of ways, leading to a species that competes in many arenas.

Admittedly the kitten was plotting on how to kill all of them the moment it came on the ship.

Housecats that can go outside can reduce the fauna of an area up to 90% alone.

A couple years ago, my cat was bringing me a (usually, but not always) dead bird every day for at least 4 months. The birds still remember; I don’t have any problems with birds eating from my berry bushes.

    Silly aliens.
If only they noticed that humans bring tiny predators into their homes, while leaving the large herbivores outside.
You can learn a lot about humans by the animals they keep close.

If any aliens try to take the cat = car forcefully, then humans WILL be the most dangerous threat in space next to gods and chutulu. On another note an orange tabby is hard to be with as there are unpredictable and depends on the level of the orange and tone of their fur. Main coon on the other hand can grow as much as it gets. Now the real question is if there is a successful breeding of a Good Orange Tabby and a Large Main Coon, well GOOD LUCK.

My sister had an orange tabby that weighed in at 20lb. That cat would chase off Dobermans

this is like 3rd or 4th channel to regurgitate this same story, too much recycled content "story telling" channels these days.

    • @leiaclark8388
      @leiaclark8388 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yeah. The different channels keep asking me to use my stories. I’ve been saying yes because I want to give content creators, and myself, exposure. It’s also given me a chance to compare the different channels.
This one does a better job on the reading than several of them, and the pictures are great. The picture of Rusty in the cold drinking from a thermos was exactly as I pictured him. The one in the hallway with Peanut Butter in his coat was pretty good too.
All in all, I’m quite pleased with this rendition of the story. I can’t wait to see a rendition of MORI. (Hint, I picture him kind of like Raul Julia’s Gomez Addams, but I’d like to see what you come up with.)
