I just bought the TP-Link Archer Txe72e with 5.3 BT on offer £49.99.
In device manager after installing driver from the package CD it turns out to be a Mediatek MT7922 chipset. So far it's very stable.
My previous wifi card was an Intel 7260 from Asus bought for a similar price in 2016, that was garbage, faulty, it crashes, self disables and blue screens, drops connections many times a day. 5ghz or vht mode it would disable itself forcing a reboot.
The new card txe72e has steady fast link speed 585-866 mbps limited by our ISPs AC router.

@@MikeFaucherOh, it says it's a Mediatek device in DM, are you sure the intel driver's will be compatible?
I was thinking that was why they've been vague specifying what chipset is on the card. I could be wrong.
I'm also in UK/Europe, so maybe we get Mediatek instead.
Samsung did the same thing put different chipsets in Galaxy S phones with Exynos instead of Snapdragon; based on region.
      Just my thoughts.

@@MikeFaucher I visited tp-link earlier looking for Intel driver as suggested but the one available for Txe72e(UN) v2 was the same driver currently installed. The revision is so new that when I type in my model it has "coming soon"
Mediatek also released WiFi 6E based chipsets from what I saw putting MT7922 into search.
      I can't share links anymore, won't post.
Amazon states it being an Intel AX210 so I was miffed when I saw another brand in there. I'll check the back of card later to confirm.
Not saying your info is wrong, I'm just miffed. Maybe something has changed over the course of the year with TPlink since the video was published.
I watched this video and your previous one testing wifi6 cards multiple times over the year, to decide what to get.
Tp-link is well known and was on offer and this archer model received favourable ratings on various review sites. And from the tests here it seems the most well rounded with speeds between the Iperf and Opentest.

    Two questions:
    1) Have you tried to switch the antennas between the different adapters? As the chipset is the same on all adapters, I would guess the antennas are most obvious to be the root of the performance differences.
    2) Are there any plans to do such a comparson with different WiFi 6E chpsets, e.g., Qualcomm, Realtek, Broadcom,or Mediatek chipsets? Most of them sould be available as m.2 modules now.

@@MikeFaucher “Unless you upgrade the router or access point, you are performing well.”
I’m not sure what you mean. I haven’t got a router or pci adapter yet, I’m still trying to figure out what will work.
With PCVR all the router, access point or hotspot needs to do is transfer video and audio from the PC to the headset through wi-fi. Internet speed makes no difference. It’s local network speed that matters.
Most reviews for wi-fi 6e routers/pcie cards can’t (or don't know how) to test them to the limit, because they use internet for the test, and most people’s internet speeds are nowhere near 2Gbps. Your tests are far better because it’s local network speed.
“I'm not sure if you are getting that speed that I would do anything.”
Do you mean, if I was getting the speeds in your video, that it should be OK?..
Now that I’ve seen that blokes set up getting 2404Mbps, that is what I’m aiming for. Every bit of that bandwidth can help with PCVR, the more bandwidth the less the video stream needs to be compressed.
I think the reason he was getting that ‘near max speed’ is because that traffic file type maybe easier for the router/pci adapter to process?.. It’s not constantly changing file type like most situations, it’s just audio and video constantly.
That Fenvi adapter card is like £15 on ali express at the moment. But a TP-Link Archer AXE75 WiFi 6E router, one of the ones recommended for PCVR is more like £100. They both have an ax210 chip, but there is so much more stuff in the router, they have CPUs and ram these days don't they?.. I imagine it’s obvious the router will work better for PCVR, but how much better?.. A lot, a little bit?.. £85 worth better?..
