For people with AMD motherboards: Mediatek and Qualcomm released wifi7 modules that work great on AMD platforms, namely the MT7925 and QCNCM865. Btw, there is something wrong with your wifi6 configuration. Looks more like a wifi5 result. You should get around 700mbps with Wifi6.

Mike some bad news to report. So i tested out eap-773 with the samsung s24 ultra. Wifi 7 is not working. Seems it's country blocked feature probably software based. Because in Singapore wifi7 works for it, but not for Malaysia right next door. So i could only test wifi 6. I barely hit close to 1gig speeds on the 6ghz band. The band steering auto changes between 5ghz and 6ghz, so the connections remains stable and sufficient throughout the place. So it's much better than my old ubiquiti ap lite which was a wifi 5 ap. It's way more stable.

So i'm not too optimistic that wifi 7 will be enabled anytime soon based on that timeline. But wifi 6 and 6GHz including 320 MHz band seem to be fine atm 🤔 Sg next door already have wifi 7 enabled for their S24 Ultra by samsung 🤨 If the issue was not yet given the ok by Malaysia yet, Samsung could have said that was the case. But they didn't instead they simply said in Malaysia it's wifi 6 only. The spec sheet link the gave me listed the S24 Ultra for malaysia as having Wifi BE is basically wifi 7. found out more info. seems for tplink their archer, deco and omada series wifi7 stuff might have MLO issues in regard to the samsung S24 Ultra. There is a beta firmware that may fix it, but i have no access to it to find out. But this issue was report as early as a few days to a week ago so it's probably still a problem right now. Even the EAP-773 which i ordered was explicitly mentioned having the issue for this phone model. Funnily enough the pixel 8 has working mlo with the EAP-773 (but it has a different problem where it's limited to 160MHz band vs the samsung s24 ultra 320 MHz)

The access points themselves are only 2.5G so anything faster will not help. A 2.5G will be fine for WiFi 7. You can check my recent review of the Unifi Pro Max (th-cam.com/video/cnBCQtN2Eto/w-d-xo.html) for an example. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
I got the BE1750x killer intel wifi 7 card for my lenovo legion 9i (gen) and for the life of me I cant get the 6ghz to show up... similar issue with the ax1675i (wifi 6e card that came with the laptop... if I update the driver to anything it kills the 6ghz on the laptop... only work around was to install the 22.45.1.1 intel driver). if anyone has had the same issue with the wifi 7 card not showing 6ghz networks, please fill us in on a solution if you got it!
Hi, thanks for the info. I just want to ask, I’m getting a 10Gbps internet plan…they’re providing a wifi 7 router(tp-link EB810v BE22000), I saw online that wifi 7 theoretical speed is over 40Gbps…so if I get one of these wifi 7 PCIe adapter I can make full use of my internet speed right???!!
Currently it is next to impossible to max out a 10Gbps connection on Wi-Fi so I doubt you will get there. That said, you will a very nice speed bump compared to current standards. Realistically, 10Gbps will only be achievable with ethernet. Even with the latest MLO features enabled in Wi-Fi 7, the "best" you can expect is half of that. Let me know what speeds you actually get.

Any of these or any Wi-Fi 7 card will work. They are all backwards compatible. I would recommend the latest like Wi-Fi 7 so you are ready when things change.
Im getting a pc soon and i want good wifi i have xfinity 1500 mps wireless but i want to get a wifi router i was looking at that asus router for $700 for wifi 7 but idk if my pc supports wifi 7 its running windows 11 on some decent software but do i need to know anything specific to run wifi 7?
That is mostly because of the amount of device there are that support it but if you are buying an AP or router, I would get Wifi 7 now and be ready. Great point.
@@MikeFaucher i do need a new wifi ap. i was thinking of either a mesh with wireless/wired backhaul. or, an ap. tplink deco has wifi7 mesh, and based on the reviews it works great. My only issue is the privacy question. I wouldn't use it as a router, but is the privacy issue resolved if using simply in ap mode only? You would have to login to the tplinkg mobile app anytime you want to administer the device, but after you no need to open the app. I'm just worried tplink tattles on my traffik to some server china for no reason x-x; other options are eero. Heard it's it's unreliable and has drop outs. bad reviews. Ubiquiti hard to get for my country due to legal dispute so they no longer export directly to the country. also i saw amazon it had bad reviews. I own a unifi wifi5 ap which i liked, but i'm wary of the u7 pro which feels like a beta product and not to mention the reviews about it. So what other wifi 7 option are there? Also the point that crosstalk mention if you check the schedule for wifi7 validation which doesn't quite end until near end of Q4 2024. This is why i felt it better to wait first.

mike i bit the bullet and getting wifi7. for ap i went with tplink eap-773 for client i went with the samsung s24 ultra the eap has a 10g-tbase port, but i don't have a 10g tbase port switch. so i also had to get a sfp+ 10g-tbase module. for affordability it's still within range now, but you can get a wifi 6e ap or mesh for half the price, meaning for a 2pack mesh wifi 6e you can pay half the price of a single wifi 7 unit. also there are not many clients out there. the cheapest ones are the china smartphone brands. The cheapest western brand is the google pixel 8, but that doesn't have 320 MHz band. The samsung s24 Ultra which i am getting does. i also want to mention, the intel wifi7 cards do not work on amd systems. instead, you may want to use the qualcom chipsets e.g. like the msi wifi 7 pcie addon card (this has the qualcom chip) should work on amd systems. This is probably the cheapest way to add wifi 7 to a client device (e.g. desktop pc) If you want the best wifi 7 experience, the Asus ZenWiFi BQ16 Pro is it. Because it has the combination of AFC and MLO which are killer features (note: you of course need a wifi7 client device to benefir from this). The afc especially makes the range for the 6GHz supposedly similar to that of the 5GHz. without it, expect the 6GHz to be a much short range by comparison.

Absolutely but only if you get a WiFi 7 router or access point to take advantage of it. Otherwise there will not be much gain.

I think for wifi 7 you need a 10G base T Poe++ not sure if 2.5G base T would be able to provide the required bandwidth over copper

2x2 is not enough for 10gbe. Run a wire. Wifi7 at 320mhz is the fastest you can get via wifi

You need a WiFi 7 router and a WiFi 7 device like a laptop and that is pretty much it.
