If anyone needs to talk I'm here. I know ima stranger but talking helps. We're all going through something. Heartbreak anxiety stress etc. We have eachother. ❤
I will literally stop what I am doing and use my Open app to do a meditation and it is a lifesaver! I also use my star seed Oracle cards, and I allow the cards to guide me in my thought process when I journal and I find that to be really healing
I love the role model question because it does help. But the role model I ask is myself. When I'm having a tough time, having an anxiety flare up, I literally take my journal and invite my 80 year old self to sit with me for a cup of tea. I write down the conversation and the insight you get from these convos is absolutely astonishing. 80 year old me is so smart and so calm, everything I aspire to be. ☀
I have loved YouTober/Talktober so far! It’s been so fun to hang out with you! I also just wanted to say that while watching this video, I just felt so happy for you. You’re living in your dream farmhouse that you worked so hard to purchase and you are building a home with the man you love, a home without the same elements that you may have grown up with. In the past, you’ve talked a little bit about your home life and some of the struggles with that and I just want to say that you are doing so well at building a home foundation for Easton that is loving and caring! Kalyn from 5 years ago would be proud I think. This is where you wanted to be one day and now you are here!
I've found through mindfulness training that it's good to lean into the tension, to not try to get rid of the tension because that "trying" can often lead to more tension. I guess it's a more Buddhist/Taoist approach that I'm mentioning. I like in the mindfulness book "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels how it's said "anxiety wants to fight"...anxiety loves to fight because it knows the mind, once anxious, cannot out wit itself, which is why silence and solitude are so great for anxiety, giving it space to pass.
oof i’ve had a good and positive day but have been feeling overwhelmed and intermittent anxiety and this video encapsulates a lot of why i feel better today and i shed some tears. baths are a big hug in a mug like a hot drink, and lately i’ve been loving baths now that it’s cooling off outside and now that we’ve gotten some things taken care of, i can finally embrace them. i love tarot reading, journaling, and just getting cozy with a drawn bath. going outside and as long as it’s not snowing or absolutely cold, i love getting my feet in some grass or dirt, to help out as well.
Recently, I had to examine my sleep habits. I've been in a sleep deficit. I'm working on a "winding" down routine before bedtime. Your self care night routine is reminding me to include some relaxation, breathing, and a little yoga in that as well. Thanks for sharing.
This video was needed . Thank you ❤️ I’ve been feeling anxious/off irritable and not like myself for a few weeks or so . I’ve made a good amount of life changes /transitions this year and I’m really struggling with the uncertainty. Again thank you for this💕
Hi Kalyn, been struggling with mental health these last few weeks, finally getting back on track and feeling better but now the big issue creeping back in, is my anxiety. I’ve struggled with anxiety since I was a kid and been off and on medication for it. But finally decided to fight it off naturally, hopefully this video can give me some inspiration and give me tips on how to manage it! Thanks Kalyn 🧡🧡🧡
Hello! I felt called to comment on your comment! I myself have been on medication for anxiety since I was a child as well. Right now I am in the same process of trying to heal my anxiety naturally without any medication. I want you to know that I acknowledge your strength. It is not an easy thing to do. My biggest advice would be to be gentle with yourself. You are taking such a big step, every step no matter how big or small is progress. Healing is not linear so do not be discouraged when bad days arise. Working with a therapist helps too so you can process the big emotions. You are so strong and you got this! Sending my love. ♥️
Loved this Kalyn! This was so comforting. I wish we weren’t so scared of crying, it’s SO SO healing and a great self care practice. Then the post-cry bath and card pull 😭ugh this was great. Thank you!
Wow, this video couldn't have come at a better time, I've been feeling very lost recently so will be taking some of these tips of board. Thank you so much for sharing 💜💜💜
I have lots going on in my life, that causes me stress at times, some I can’t give change, like being a caregiver for my Mom with dementia and changes at work and the loss of my Dad 2 years ago, I’ve been trying to kick up my self care routine, to help myself. Thank you for this. I find your videos very helpful.
I love this vlog so much. I relate to a lot of it and my spirituality works much the same way. intent and symbology are big for me. but also as someone who deals with anxiety, watching how someone else works through it is comforting. esp when the things that person does are so similar to what I do. this felt like a peaceful cozy hug
Great video, my boyfriend recently fell into a depressive episode and it’s been hard to navigate my own mental health and be supportive for him, but i’m trying to remember there is always place for practice that will help to manage it
I have been a whole mess this week, I love this idea and I think I'll be using this tonight. Thank you for being so real with life Kalyn. I appreciate you so much and I learn from you all the time.
I can really relate to this. I get anxiety mostly at night and do nothing about it except hope it goes away- this is so helpful for me- thank you . Ps love the bathtub 💜
Kalyn, your videos always come at the right time for me. I’ve been here since 2012, watched you all throughout college and now seeing you in the role of motherhood is so inspiring. I was wondering if you could give some advice/make a video about constantly needing affirmations from your partner about the future of your relationship, they’re still in love with you, etc. I struggle so much due to abandonment anxiety but am trying to navigate this on my own since I can sense it’s been a lot for my partner to deal with this too. Thank you🤍🥹
I'm currently pregnant with my second baby.... And today this afternoon it's been so hard I'm so sick and my daughter has been full on and today I yelled at her screamed at her and I never do that... She's 2 very soon and I feel so sad and bad!! She's currently in bed fast asleep now .. I can't stop with balling my eyes out. This video came at a perfect time... I never hurt or yell at her but today was so hard. After my fiance comes back with Chinese for dinner I'm going to have a step outside and lay on the grass and just cry... ❤❤❤ Btw she's been at nursery all day and doesn't nap there..... Unfortunately they have tried but she only naps at home or in the car 😭 so every Thursday and Friday I deal with crazy intense toddler tantrums 😭
Wow I love this. Curating a self-care routine is so important. I’ve tried copying some TH-camrs self care routine and I never connected with anything. I realized it’s because I wasn’t listening to my own internal voice around what is relaxing to ME. Thanks for sharing!!
This one got me worried about Bentley…I hope he is ok 💛 I recently lost my dog 💔 and the feelings and events you described, namely the overwhelming grief, the traumatic aspect of the situation and not talking about it with many people, felt so familiar. Either way, sending you much love and strength from the other side of the ocean 💛 I hope you feel better soon.
This was so beautiful as always Kalyn 🥰 If you're into cycles right now I think you might love the book Do Less. I read it a few months ago and still use parts of it every day 🌜 LOVE that you share your card reading practice here, I love my cards ❤
Im feeling anxious at the moment. Whenever i talk to the guy i truly care he doesn’t text me back an hour. He waited out and text me next day or two. Acting like nothing happen. Im just soooo sick of breadcrumbs when a guy do this to me. Ive been trying to heal my past trauma and i just hate it when a guy constantly bring up his ex.
I just wish the guy either call me or text me saying “ hey lea giving you heads up i won’t be able to text you, but ill text you on this day, use these days to make yourself beautiful so next time we see each other i can blush in front of you and fall in love all over again. NO guy say that to me ever. All i get patterns and breadcrumbs. I don’t force a guy to be with me but i just wish he follow through and align with me. Its not fair i have to initiate the text or move or plan. Its to much emotional draining and too much emotional energy waste.
"The state/care of my feet directly reflects the care I'm taking of myself" couldn't have said it better myself. Currently treating an ingrown which I've never had in my life because I've been giving all of my time to my 4 month old 🥲

Is that true? You really are a wonderful person, aren't you? It will be true when I read carefully what you said.
You are a role model to me! I struggle with anxiety and this is the kind of response and action I would love to get to when I'm feeling overwhelmed.
Absolutely thrilled to have found your channel!! 😮❤

this is the most perfect timing for me to see this
I am still dealing with grief (My mother passed away 8 months ago), hence taking care of myself makes me feel guilty. I like your videos as usual ❤
Your mom loved you, she took care of you selflessly. Don't EVER FEEL GUILTY OF TAKING CARE OF HER CHILD FOR HER ❤
Such a heartwarming video!🥰 so comforting! Thank you for being vurnerable😊

You are the person who teach me how yoga can be soothing when I was watching your daily vlogs at Toronto.
I am soo glad to see it again☺️.
Waited all day to cozy up with this one-- so excited! :)
