@@fishermansoffice yeah, the right tools go along way lol.. painting will take time mate. practice dots, lines and squiggles. it will help with paint pressure control. and someone that is really good at it on TH-cam is 'Jekyll Productions' amazing lure painter from America, and will teach ya heaps 👌👍
Haha yeah i do need some more practice on those kinds of details. I have been watching Jekyll for about 2 or 3 weeks now - have been learning a bit already, great channel👌
When I seal mine with superglue I have a box of disposable gloves squirt on the glove and wipe it over the lure its way easier youll end up glueing your finger to the lure 😂🤣😂🤣 another good vid mate you look like you enjoying yourself making them .I was thinking the other day of doing a few slickbacks in timber I need to buy one for reference .Get yourself some cedar as well way more buoyant than pine and less chance of splitting.I go to window makers and ask them for there scraps .
Ah yeah i realised the glue tends to stick pretty well on the fingers there 😂 Im definitely enjoying the process mate also not against using different woods which ill probably look into further down the track.
Great video lee I still rate the paint job it will only get better that bandsaw and air brush make it so much easier compared to a hand saw and spray paint ayy. Can’t wait for your next lure vid hopefully you can get some fishing vids out now that restrictions have opened slightly.well done🤙👍
Thanks mate. The new tools certainly make it alot easier thats for sure. Looking forward to haveing a fish again even if its mainly reddies and carp 👌👌
G’day lee, wow what a video well done on the painting, I boaght a air brush kit it’s coming this week, great job on the build this is my favourite so far. Any chance you auction off that lure.. lol love a good slick back yew 👍🙌😂
Hey mate. It's just some thin super glue it gets into the grain of the wood well a creates a decent seal. I normally just use pine as its cheap and easy to obtain.
Got the shape and action down
Cheers bro.
Addition of the airbrush is gonna change it up for sure! Keen to see what you can come up with! Practice makes perfect 👌🏼
For sure man.
Gonna be some fun trying out new paint combos and improving techniques.
Cut a stencil to airbrush the Strait lines
doin bloody well big wheels! i bet ya happy you got a band saw and an airbrush set up lol.. keep em coming 👌👍
Haha.
Yeah man super happy to have some helpful tools.
Getting used to the painting still.
Very fun.

Also what wood do you like to use for your lures?
