It is a great way to build a neo-pixel blade which I already have everything ready to build the blade with ... All I need to know now is if anyone knows or has a link of what is inside the HILT that matches the PCB once I am done building the blade? Thank you.

@@Ronin_Sabers Thanks for the help! I hope to get it done by the Thanksgiving holiday. You are one of the best saber smiths out there. Keep up the good work.
I work on these kind of lights a lot in solder small wires here's a tip for you tape your pixel strip down to your surface so it doesn't move around while soldering.
Great video really well explained but I'm wondering if I wanted to add a third pixel strip, would I simply solder it to the same soldering points as either of the original two strips?
I have had two bakers fail and would like to repair myself but what seems to be the most commonly failing part the PCB or the led strip itself going open circuit?. All the connections look ok ?
Awesome job. Great video. Keep up all the good work. Like others said you should have many more subs than you actually have. Can’t wait till people start seeing your content and buying from you.
What blade exactly did you use? I’m new to this and the custom saber shop has a lot of options so I’m not sure which one to get. Actually a whole parts list would be super helpful if you have one!
Great tutorial! I like how you not only went step by step to show exactly what you're doing but also gave good tips! Is there a tutorial on doing the hilt?
Hilts can be designed in many ways, through a CAD program (getting them machined) or even with PCB or metal pipes. Blade styles are made through the proffie style editor I won't be doing a tutorial on such things.
Is it cheaper to buy parts and build it yourself or to buy a finished one? Or alternatively, if I have a hilt, is it cheaper to buy a neopixel core and blade or buy the parts and build it yourself?
I usually sample existing audio, but I have toyed with making sounds and stuff from scratch. Making fonts is extremely fun, I demo the fonts I've made on my channel, definitely go check those out!
Can I turn my Disney Vader saber into this using the materials in this video? If I just wanted to use the board that's in the saber already, or do I need to replace the board with a CFX or another aftermarket board?
Wouldn't using three strips in a triangle formation eliminate the dead stripes that can happen on the sides of the blade that don't have leds facing outward?
Yes, it makes the problem less obvious... But the issue with three stripes is that the blade draws much more Amps from your battery (Up to 14 Amps and more for pure white, IIRC) and you need to use a thicker wire gauge for your wiring. You'd also need a beefier battery that is rated for at least 20A continuous discharge. All of that makes it less attractive for most people. I must admit I have played with the idea in my head, and my next saber is probably going to use three strips to test it out.
Now I’m curious…. Is this how every blade is made? Like if I were to buy a prebuilt one online… does some spend 30 minutes just making my blade or is it all factory done now? Cuz that makes sense for the service fees that may go into pricing for things!
Yes, most blades will be built like this. Some use different diffusers to make the blade evenly lit. Some will have KR pixel strips. I don't know if any blades are currently being made by a factory.
@@Ronin_Sabers whoaaa. That’s so awesome!! That brings a whole new respect to me for you and them! I never thought about how it’s literally a passion project PER saber even for the higher up entities! That’s so awesome!

The board and the hilt side PCB will as well as the blade itself will determine how bright the blade is. I'm not familiar with xenopixel but you should be able to swap it out.
This is great. I bought a Saber from the Pach Store and their neopixel blades are 1" mid grade. Depending on how I feel about the durability I might replace the outer tube with, a heavy grade blade from Tcss. Do you think that would be difficult to do? I imagine cutting a hole in the tube. Popping off the tip, and base and replacing it.

Very similar to the blade PCB, accept a bit easier. Depending on the connector and the board you can wire just three wires instead of 5 or 6.
So does it matter if you have rgb lightsaber can I jus make it a neopixel lightsaber then?
You would have to change your rbg connector to a neopixel connector and make sure you have the correct battery.

A Neopixel connector should be installed on you saber.
