Braid + 10 lb P-line CXX is the way I spool up my pin. As a cost-savings tip, if you don't want to waste expensive braid as a backer, there's a cheap brand of braid called "Handing Blast" that runs about $6-$7 on Amazon for a 500 yd spool, 40-50 lb test. Cheapest stuff I've found (you don't want to waste expensive braid for backing). The higher the lb test braid you use, the less line you'll need to get a good backing on your spool. 500 yds of 40-50 lb "Blast" braided line should provide enough backing for 4-5 pins. Any time I'm spooling backing I try to use the cheapest crap I can find, or spare line I wouldn't use on anything else otherwise.
Thanks for the tip I’ll be looking back at this the next time I spool up! I’m sure everyone else who reads this will appreciate it as well. Thanks again for the continued support. 🎣
