Also also: it's free to enter and wander around the Hotel Hershey. It's one of the last Grand Hotels to be built. It's worth looking at the fountain lobby, restaurants, and grounds. The Hershey Gardens are also extensive and charming.
Hershey’s chocolate is still made in the US, both in town and in other places around the country. There are international plants, but they largely produce for their own domestic markets.
Russell stovers does too. We had a local one called ceros candy that made the best chocolate i ever had but they kept moving like once a year snd eventually went out of business
I remember back when the factory was still there in the early noties and you could just roll your windows down and smell the chocolate when you drove through Hershey. This we did often to visit my great grandma. Good memories. Sometimes you also could smell the peanut butter as you passed the Reese’s place.
It was lovely to meet you in person Jacob! I was the front desk attendant at the Hershey Story Museum you spoke with briefly on your way out. There are still active Hershey and Reese's plants in the area, the Trolley Tour at Chocolate World should take you past both locations. There's a hidden taxidermy Pelican in the Hershey Story if you ever decide to visit our museum again!
I fear I must gently correct you, my good sir. Chocolate IS still made in Hershey. You'll go past the new factory if you take Hershey Park Drive towards Hummelstown. You'll see another large landscape of barberry bushes spelling out "HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE" as well as Kiss lampposts at the entrance. The old factory was closed down about ten years ago because it could not be updated to meet modern health and safety codes. Prior to that, the last public tour was held in the late 1980s. They were stopped due to health/safety concerns. Also it's "Ree-sez". ;}
Sorry to burst your bubble but is in fact pronounced Reese-IS! The candy is named after H.B. Reese. It is named in the possessive form of his last name :)
Went to the Hershey Story Museum and Chocolate World this past summer, but didn't make it to the Antique Car museum, which looked pretty cool. I'll have to get back there!
The Car Museum is impressive with the different cars, trucks, motorcycles, and buses. I enjoy going there when I am in Hershey. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend going.
Betty Whites car was hosted after her passing. I live 20 minutes away from Hershey. Only visited chocolate world. Worked at the park. The town has changed over the past 30 years.
That auto museum is amazing. Lots of historically important vehicles, and an amazing Tucker collection. They rotate displays around themes, too, so there is often new stuff to see.
Oooooh, KitKat bars were made in 1935 in the Rowntree factory in gorgeous York, England. Hersey's must have had the go ahead to produce in the US. They are delicious 😋 Thanks Jacob 👍
I went to Hershey Park on a class field trip back in 2007, I remember when we could take a bag of bite size bars, reeses, kitkats etc. I remember being on a sugar rush eating all that. lol.
I had a wonderful visit to Hershey with my 11th grade Marketing Technology Class for a D.E.C.A. Conference in 1976. My manuscript was one of the winners. We had so much fun, tired the Hershey Company. We stayed in a really nice Hotel that had pond in the back with ducks. Loved seeing Hershey through your eyes, Jacob.
Thanks for the great tours at the auto museum and Hershey World of Chocolate! It has been years since I was at World of Chocolate. I remember the original ride of how they made the Chocolate.
Hershey is only one hour for me so, I've been there many times but, I never knew about the car museum!! Thanks for showing it cause my family is looking forward to visiting there now!
We were just at Hershey World 2 weeks ago. Came home with lots of candy and homemade cookies. I also had a chocolate milkshake. It was the best I've ever had. I remember touring the original factory many years ago, but I've never been to the car museum. Next time we go, I'll have to check that out.
i was there back in like '71 and the machine you first showed in the hershey museum, the hershey kiss machine, was actually being used at that time! actually most of all that was still being used back then,
Really cool video and loved seeing all that chocolate! Your milkshake looked divine 😍 I'm now craving chocolate 😅 Also loved when you said, "It's not how many times you get knocked down, its how many times you get back up." Absolutely love life quotes and this one in particular. Thanks again Jacob and best wishes ☀️
Although a PA Native, I spent the weekend in the area in October (Opening night of Hersheypark in the Dark and the renaissance faire) and stayed at the Days Inn (not the Hampton as I thought when you said it-maybe I was just reminded of that trip). That's all about an hour to 90mins west of home (although I'm still in Madrid until May, which is not close at all)
They have a Reese’s factory in the town and a huge factory in town on the other side of the park, plus numerous factories within the US and overseas factories for local consumption. Just saying.
Cool Cars, the History of Hershey's Chocolate, a dark ride factory tour (that exudes an Epcot energy), plus all the candy one could ever want, makes for one sweet adventure (The Milkshakes are amazing). I visited Chocolate World several years ago and this video brought back memories, thanks Jacob!!!
That Hershey's creator is like Karl Fazer here in Finland; the grand old man of chocolate. Fortunately hadn't come across with chocolate rain, 'cause I can't get that umbrella. 😅 This was nice footage, thank you! 😊
Hey there Jacob! What time were you at Antique Automobile Museum? We could have had lunch together on me! I live 1 mile from there and would love to meet you. Keep up the great work.
No way you were in Hershey! I love going there to smell the chocolate and went to Hershey Park and chocolate world plenty of times as a kid and still sometimes do. I now go up their to watch freight trains roll and it is the same line that supplies the factory with freight cars for all the ingredients to make their candy!
Welcome to PA! At Christmas they have the Kissmobile and a Christmas Kissmobile which is painted like the Grinch in Candylane and at Chocolate World. I love seeing the Kissmobile and it would be so fun to drive it!
Wish we would have gotten to see more of the cars in the museum. Maybe the next car museum you visit, could you please spend a little more time showing the cars? Thanks so much!!! We love your adventures!
i was so excited when i saw you were so close to my area! it’s been a while since you’ve been up to hershey. i always loved the museum there since i grew up around car people. i haven’t been to the museum in ages, and when i went they were in the middle of moving things around so it’s nice to see how it all turned out.
That is so cool! Many years ago, I knew (personally) the Hershey family. Milton moved his factory to the states but many of the family stayed behind, here in rural Ontario.
My mom used to love going to the Russell stovers factory to get bulk amounts of chocolate. Once she made the mistake of leaving about 5 lbs of it on the floor by the kitchen and my moms standard poodle ate all of it. The dog was ok but she sure slept a lot for the next day.
My mother went on a field trip to the original factory in the late 1940s. The chocolate smell in the town and obviously the factory was so overwhelming she got physically sick.
I fondly remember touring the actual Hershey factory as a school child. The entire town smelled of chocolate, a marvel to a young person's senses. I enjoy the Chocolate World dark ride, but it is not near as interesting as the factory was.
Theres more odd things with Tuckers than just the 'Cyclops' light, they use a Rear mounted flat 6 from a Helicopter and had all the controls mounted to the steering coloum (bar the pedals) to keep the dash area a free space so you could dive into it during a crash, sadly so few were made that it's rare to see one and can be in the Millions to buy.
Jacob, we love Hershey, Pa. We haven’t been there since we moved near Disney World. I see comments about Hershey’s Chocolate 🍫 being made here today. There’s factory’s in Hershey and Pa. It’s still made here in new factories.
Just had two Dark Chocolate Reese's Thin Cups tonite for dessert. It's enough sweetness without going too overboard like a donut or slice of cake! What I would give to visit Hershey, PA and tour that museum myself!
I gave a Hershey bar to a British friend in England once and he said it tasted like war ration chocolate. The Brits are really serious about their chocolate 😋
Jacob welcome to PA bud. You should call Conneaut lake park and see if you can get into the devils den dark ride before its gone. Definitely grab some hugs and kisses for the road Jacob. Also a symphony bar with toffee you won't be disappointed bud I promise.
Oh Yay! You went! I love that Museum!! :) Another fun museum in Philly is the Mütter Museum with all sorts of human body parts and stuff but, they don't let you film in some parts so idk if it would be worth your wild but eastern state is amazing a lot of abandon cells they have al capones cell but they have been working on it because they believe its somewhere else but its so fun to explore!! :)
Now u come to Hershey. I just moved to Northern PA (Poconos) this month. would of loved to see u. But one thing, Hershey still makes chocolate in Hershey. The plants are down the street from Hersheypark and Hershey Museum. I have friends that work in the production plants. But Great video anyway.
i live so close to that omg I’m so upset I didn’t get to meet you You should totally do the chocolate ride at Hershey chocolate world free parking free chocolate at the end of the ride. 10/10 but really I was just there I live like 45 min away
Two things. One welcome to Pennsylvania man and number two that bus your on at 11:10 they were popular up in my home city of Toronto I remember riding them as a kid. Yes, back in the '90s. Toronto still ran those old buses. I think they were pretty cool
That's sad 😥 they don't make chocolate at Hershey anymore. I guess everything is being shipped overseas. It's a good thing Milton Hershey didn't get on the Titanic. They used to have a Choco River in Hershey World. I like the Reeses, Twizzler and Jolly Ranchers candy 🍬 the most.
According to Hershey's website, there are 2 factories in Hershey, PA as well as 5 other factories across the US
Happiness is a HERSHEY'S Bar with Almonds in your Hand while watching Jacob The Carpetbagger On You Tube!😊🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
Also also: it's free to enter and wander around the Hotel Hershey. It's one of the last Grand Hotels to be built. It's worth looking at the fountain lobby, restaurants, and grounds. The Hershey Gardens are also extensive and charming.

I believe Hershey's is still making chocolate in PA.
Hersheypark needs an immersive chocolate-themed hotel where you can live your own candy story.
and the shower puts out chocolate instead of water
Dude the hallways of that hotel legit smelled like chocolate when I went there one year
Oh Gushtoff!! That Milk Shake Looks Amazing. My Mouth Started Watering. This Place Looked Like So Much Fun. Thanks for Sharing 😋
I remember back when the factory was still there in the early noties and you could just roll your windows down and smell the chocolate when you drove through Hershey. You can still smell it

Jacob there is a Hershey plant in Hershey it was built in 2012 They make kisses to bars there
I grew up near Hershey and remember going on the factory tours in the 60’s the chocolate aroma was incredible
Your day will be filled with sweetness

THANK YOU lol good old Jacob being funny. 😅😅
I don’t know anyone around this area that say Reese like TH-cam people do….

Thanks for the adventure today
I really enjoyed the train set display and the dark ride as well
Have a great night see 👀 ya next time. 😉
Thanks for the great tours at the auto museum and Hershey World of Chocolate! It has been years since I was at World of Chocolate. I remember the original ride of how they made the Chocolate.
Love the 50s era cars and coaches 😊
Thank you for not just visiting the factory and showing us all the other attractions the town has. That’s why I love the bagger.
The green cadillac parked in front of the golden gate bridge was owned by actress Betty White .
You might also consider a delicatessen lunch at Pronio's neighborhood market in downtown Hershey. My mum went to school with the owner.
Hershey is only one hour for me so, I've been there many times but, I never knew about the car museum!! Thanks for showing it cause my family is looking forward to visiting there now!
I didn't know that there is a town named Hershey. Love this channel
Hershey Pennsylvania is world 🌍🌎 famous Im from Allentown Pennsylvania and it's a 2 hour drive away from here
7:25 That looks like your kind of car. Perfect!
My family visited Hershey, PA back in the '70s. The whole town smelled like chocolate.
LOVE Cadbury eggs ❤ who else HAS TO HAVE SOME CHOCOLATE NOW 🍫 😋 😍
sick.
Great tour of Hershey. I loved your Chocolate Rain reference. 😂
Yes! Easter candy has always been my weakness! Cadbury Creme Eggs and the Mini Eggs are my favorite!
If you are in the area you should go a little ways down the road and check out the railroad museum in Strasburg and the Choo Choo Barn.
Very cool vlog. I don’t know what it is. Maybe memories of my fathers trains. But I just love those train setups. I hope to get to Hershey sometime.
I love the Chocolate Rain reference (I move away from the mic to breathe in) 😁
If you want to see a giant train layout...check out Choo-Choo Barn in the Strasburg PA area. It's the entire Lancaster area in miniature.
Only about 20 mins down the road. I drive through Hershey everyday to go to work. Glad to see you are back around the area
We were just at Hershey World 2 weeks ago. Came home with lots of candy and homemade cookies. I also had a chocolate milkshake. It was the best I've ever had. I remember touring the original factory many years ago, but I've never been to the car museum. Next time we go, I'll have to check that out.

We haven’t been there in a few years. I miss it! Definitely bringing the family this season :)
Thanks for sharing!

He has a school for boys who don’t have a father or issues ! I know of a person who went there and became a mayor! He is a amazing guy!
That Reeses shake looks like a sugar coma. Wish I could try it
The Tucker is my dream car!
I loved how The Carpetbagger was so nonchalant with the $8,000,000+ in Tuckers!
I love the Hershey's miniatures.
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups are the best. No other compares.....nom nom nom.....
The AACA museum is awesome, I’ve been there a couple times, and of course Chocolate World
If you imagine that’s TCBs first milkshake he’s ever had.. it pretty much holds up to his reaction
Thanks Jacob!
The chocolate at chocolate world is so fresh.

Good afternoon Jacob I like that video is very excellent those antique cars keep doing more I like them
Gorgeous cars, classy.I cant believe they don’t make the Hersey chocolate in the US anymore😮
I gave a Hershey bar to a British friend in England once and he said it tasted like war ration chocolate. The Brits are really serious about their chocolate 😋
I think it tastes like baby puke smells, that’s cos they use sour milk powder to make it
My favorite was Christmas ribbon candy that stuck to the candy dish😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jacob welcome to PA bud. You should call Conneaut lake park and see if you can get into the devils den dark ride before its gone. Definitely grab some hugs and kisses for the road Jacob. Also a symphony bar with toffee you won't be disappointed bud I promise.
I think that blue Cadillac was the late great Betty Whites.Oh and by the way they still make candy in Hershey.
Reminds me of episode of I love Lucy, Lucy working in Chocolate factory, I also have been to Hershey pa
I went to school in Hershey and never knew that Milton Hershey booked a cabin on the Titanic!
Hello Jacob and Awesome Work Bro 👍👍👍😀 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸

Reese's Cups are the bestest...🤘🏼😋💯✔️
Great video, Jake!

I’ve been to Hershey park with my family years ago
