I'm proud of Paul. Around the 2008-2013 ish time, he seemed like he was making a lot of mistakes and struggling to play their stuff (I saw them live a lot and I noticed). He's been back on track and even improved quite a bit for a good while now. Paul realized he was slippin and corrected course. Dude is absolutely a hard worker, nothing but respect for him. Great footage!

Everyone has ups and downs. And every drummer that plays death metal is a hard worker. That goes without saying.
Considering his age and health as well 🤷♂️ I'm in my 30s and can't seems to do stuff I did in my 20s due to carpal tunnel and what not. But I feel ya. It's like working out. One slip up and all else fails
The changes he’s made in terms of drum positioning, seat height/distance, posture… are all a feat in themselves. Compare with the videos from “Kill” era, make them suffer drumcam. Those are major changes and one would potentially have to re-learn every song because of the muscle memory. Where he’s at in this video looks like a sustainable path, healthy for his spine and joints, proper motion and body use. And most important.. it sounds awesome!
