Based on everything you covered, the FUTABA should've taken 1st. Place.

I also like A Main they have helped me so much and have gone miles beyond what other hobby shops will to make sure I am squared away.

I just bought the DX2. Wanted something to get me on the track for cheap. I think I am going to take it back for DX5C. Thanks for the video.

For binding issues with Spektrums, it's almost always due to having the radio and receiver too close together. Make sure they are at least 20 inches apart when binding. Agree with your results, the Futaba 3PV uses caveman like drawings for it's menus while the Spektrum is LCD is similar to most $200 radios.

Nice comparison Razer RC , but right from the beginning I could tell the order. The Spektrum for the price is amazing , but people need to realize before they invest a ton of money on receivers if they like the whole line-up of transmitters. The upgrade path from Futaba is nice, I just notice Spektrum is releasing the new DX5 pro I hope they get it right. On the Sanwa side you can go nowhere like mention in your comparison. Keep up the good work.

for the MX-6, biggest update is a spot for hooking a Lanyard to it...lol
we have a handful of FHSS-2 recievers, and 2 MX-V transmitters... won't be buying an MX-6, but might look for a good used upgrade like a MT4 that is in good shape, and will work with our FHSS-2 recievers.
my son mainly uses the Sanwa stuff... I run a Spektrum DX3S, and am looking to snag a 5C for racing as well as my scale crawler and trail trucks...

Yeah I'm accident prone so I made sure to buy myself a radio that had a hook for lanyards.

I currently own a MT44 that I use for my competition RC cars I was looking for an inexpensive light weight radio for my crawler and my basher type RC cars your reviews definitely helped me make that decision of getting the Dx5C the combination of inexpensive receivers and radio features sealed the deal it’s about 6mo since this review aired and Spectrum has since released receivers that no longer use bind plugs on the Mx6 that FH-E protocol and the fact nothing else in Sanwa’s lineup uses it definitely makes it not worth getting but that’s just my opinion.

I think if ya wanted to keep things simple with excellent ergonomics, then the MX6 wouldn’t be a bad choice for some 🤷🏻 If you like the Dx5c, have 15 RC’s, and actually have a need for all its features, then it’s the right choice for you. ✌🏻

You could always reform the trigger on the Futaba for your trigger finger. Adam Drake did a nice how to video on you tube.
I am torn between these three radios. I just have not pulled the trigger yet, ha.

I have the older Spektrums and they are way easier to use than the Futaba. And you can actually have real names for your models. That being said, I feel the Futaba is more comfortable, certainly lighter, for me. Tough choice for sure.

    Ok it's down to spektrum dx5c and futaba 3pv .. dx5 is $219 .. 3pv is $149 which one razor?

Fwiw, long throw trigger equals more precise braking and throttle. With that being said, I feel no difference between the Futaba 3PV and my old school Futaba Magnum Sport. Feels normal to me, I just wish it had more weight to it like the old Magums with the batteries in the pistol grip.

hi RazorRC, I'm still new to the aftermarket transmitter. I use an RTR transmitter, like Kyosho Synchro, Flysky GT2B. I want to upgrade the transmitter, the response is quite fast, not glitching and the distance is quite far. can you help me make a review between Futaba 3pv, the dx5c spectrum, Sanwa mxv and Sanwa mx-6 which are fast response, no glitching and the farthest range. ignore the shape and appearance of the LCD. thanks.

The binding on the dx5c doesnt suck lol. You bind it once to each reciever you have and never have to re bind you just switch the model in the menu.

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Abagofweed420 I know that. But other receivers you just push a button and it’s bound. The Spektrum uses that that stupid bind plug and doesn’t bind half the time.

I really enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing! I have an m11x and it is pretty old but it is my first high end radio, paid 100... Would you think that was a good deal? Came with one receiver. Thanks, hope ypu see and give me your opinion. I have been racing a mbx7 eco for the past few months (my first race rc) I really like it but think it is time to upgrade? Also please check out my channel! Great video bother!

you said that the spektrum still uses bind plugs is technically false, the sr213, sr315, sr515 and spmsr6100at and a few others don't need bind plugs
