    Take a blow dryer and heat up one part to make it expand ever so slightly and they will slip together a bit easier. Tried it because I was having a similar problem with some really tight tolerance pipes and it worked like a charm. You gotta remember this stuff is made to be air tight so they are super duper snug fit together therefore heat on one part to expand it will make it a little bit easier. Any blowdryer your wife or girlfriend or sister has will do you don’t need to make it red hot or anything.

    I really like the way that the new exhaust exposes the single sided swing arm a lot more. It's one of my favorite features of this bike and I feel like the stock exhaust covers it too much.

      Very true thats exactly what I thought + if that wheel hugger or something where the liscense plate is fixed is replaced with a tail tidy, the bike gets a buff look when seen from behind

    Do you use a Power Commander? Changing the exhaust creates problems with fuel/air intake balance without being corrected electronically.

      Did not require a remap. Checked by Honda and they stated it 'may' be a little more lumpy at tickover, but I didn't notice any difference. When I did the street triple with a similar can, Triumph remapped it for free during service visit 😜

    Happy for you and your motorcycle new modification. Personally, one of the reasons to buy my CB1000R was that: minimalistic look, the fluidity, elegance and beautiful lines. I won't be changing anything at all, since I really believe that, this motorcycle is a masterpiece and since I am not a genius but a simple amateur, I will keep the original look. Beside that, it was expensive enough to put more money on a toy.

    Personally I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the sound of Honda’s stock exhaust on their in-line 4’s. I had a 2018 CB650F that was also plenty loud stock! I wouldn’t have traded that exhaust for anything. But I get it with Euro 5 and now Euro 5E B/S noise emissions. I heard a 2023 CB 650R and it was way too quiet. The only drawback to swapping the slip on is it changes that Honda classic sound completely.

      With an open header bike its always going to get dirty, I have personally tried black, mesh/Heat wrap to help with road debris. But i live in Florida and it made the bike idle a little too high for liking. My mechanic told me it would be fine, but i still didnt like it. Esp with only 1200 Miles on my bike, i am still trying to baby it a bit.

    A quick question regarding vibrations - I've heard that some of the aftermarket slip-ons make CB1000R even more vibey. Can you share your experience?
    I'm considering the SC1-R Muffler myself, but knowing how bad vibes are at 130km/h (around 6k rpm)... I really don't want to pay for making vibes even worse.

      @fergiewoo8190  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      nakeds arent tuned or Geared like the sport bikes and dont go 186, they go about 140-150., they're geared much lower and thats why u get more buzz. I4's, and I have a I4 1000cc also, get buzzy on freeway at 6k. 5k rpm is do-able, but thats too slow speed. at 6k buzziness begins an only gets worse, so I dropped a couple teeth in back, an up one in front and now its 5k rpm at 75mph. dropped rpm like 2grand!. didnt lose any pull or acceleration I can tell. ik, thats not great low rpm, but its A lot better. theyre not cruisers thats for sure, keep the hiway runs short an rpms low, but thats just gearing. any bike I think gets buzzing at 6k rpm..

    • @nPitbulll
      @nPitbulll 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ribalderr6052 I totally agree with the points you make and have given a thought to dropping a couple of teeth as well. However... a) CB1000R with stock gearing reaches 70+ mph in the first gear already b) dealing with speedo calibration is definitely not something on my to-do list.
      I only wonder why the engineers of Honda are not taking the points you mention above and daily usability into account? They claim that they made the first 3 gears shorter to improve acceleration... where 1st reaches 70+ and 3rd gear can reach 120mph. I wouldn't call that short for a naked bike... Whilst engineers were at it - they could have made the last one or last couple longer for comfortable cruise, right?
      The cheaply made Yamaha folks have made the gearing on MT-09 stupid short in first couple of gears and long enough for highway... Relying on end consumer to add/remove teeth in front or back will not solve the inappropriate internal gearing of the gearbox.
      I have only 3 explanations for this: 1) emissions b) production costs of re-working an old sport-bike gearbox c) playing it safe and making sure riders don't kill themselves, if they open it up in the first couple of gears...

      @@fergiewoo8190 The factory picture shows that it should be installed in the same exact way as you have done for this particular exhaust.

    you should have tried the sound without a exhaust pipe

      matter of fact I am riding right now without the muffler just because the sound is much better. I have tried different mufflers and it sucks (my opinion) because the cat is dumping the sound a lot. the looks without a muffler is 🤮🤮🤮🤮 but the sound is the best what you can get with the standard system.

    have you been out yet, does the exhaust effect fuelling in any way? looks nice!

      @fergiewoo8190  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hiya. Doesn't seem to have affected fuelling too much. Its hard to tell, but it seems more free revving, but that might just be me giving it more beans because I like the noise. The bike is due a service next week, I will ask if there is a suitable map to try. Thanks

      @@fergiewoo8190 I have this bike as well. You haven't changed anything on the bike because you haven't decat it so there is no need to remap it. Actually nowadays there is no need to do it anymore because CPU adjusts it itself automatically. When it comes to fuelling, oh boy, it is really bad and you cannot change it. The block is the same as the previous model (which I had as well) and both had/have a very terrible fuelling.

    • @stasn3715
      @stasn3715 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it doesn't because the muffler has a very little impact on the motor block with the standard exhaust system. Moreover, I had a previous model with the full exhaust system and remapped and power commander. I have to say when I compare to the new model I don't see any difference in the fuelling. So in my opinion, if you do any changes to the bike do not consider it for the fuelling or more HP because at the end of the day they want your money and they give you nice commercial pep talk :). It will have the meaning if you are riding on the track but on the road no way. So the sound and the looks, yes but whole mambo jambo about the fuel economy and more power, not worth it.
