Met him on plane to Chicago a couple of months ago. Such a nice guy. Really didn't talk to him until the end of the flight, but he was very gracious and personable. Didn't blow you off like some of the guys will.
I’ve heard this from people. My buddy met him and he was so cool that he wanted to keep talking after the autograph signing. Said gangrel told him he loves talking to fans because they make him show why he loves the business.
Gangrel is such a fun interview - a very friendly guy. Love hearing about him from others in the Attitude era - that talk pretty highly about the guy. Very laid back and friendly.
A few years ago I had the chance to see gangrel live at an Action Wrestling outdoor show in Tyrone, Georgia. It was awesome and after the match he just hung out and chatted up anybody who approached him.
Gangrel was one of my favorites in the late 90s. His entrance; the flames, him (and the brood) rising up through the floor, and of course, the music were some of the best ever.
We’ve been able to enjoy the training from some maniacs filming a CCW training - he is awesome and very attentive. The little I’ve seen of his regular students, they are definitely well-trained.
oh god yh, wrestlemania 2000 for the N64!! Me and my friends used to spend hours on that game, especially creating our own wrestlers. The Attitude era was the best
Bill Proud Yes, I loved that game! I had to repair an N64 power supply at my aunt's house just to get it to go. Luckily, I still ended up with the game though. It really was, and they weren't really able to keep that feverish pace going for very long. With the world changing so much post attitude era, the PG era makes sense. But I wasn't really happy about it.
The reason the attitude era was so good was because they had WCW trying to beat them in the ratings war so they were constantly on their toes. By the way if you haven't seen the Monday Night War DVD boxset, I honestly HIGHLY recommend it! WWE just doesn't have that competition anymore, they seemed to have grown complacent over the last decade
@@richardhead2273 lucky guy he probably has worlds of work wrestling knowledge. I couldnt afford to go to a wrestling school and I'm a 5'4 mexican so I didnt ever think I could have drawed a dime so I never invested
I remember back in the 90s when he was at raw in the Attitude Era I went to an independent wrestling show and he was pulling in his car and I got to take a picture with him
I remember reading in an old issue of the Observer from like September 1993 and The Vampire Warrior had a backstage fight with someone but I thought I read it happened in a Florida territory
I got to train and work shows with Dave quite a few times. He’s as down to earth and genuine as he appears in these interviews. And very appreciative when I bandaged him up when he got color in Fresno on night.
Gangrel so underrated he had the entrance the presence the finisher he had it all pure intimidation and didn’t have to say a word. His vampire gimmick was so cool
If I met Gangrel in Person, We would Watch WWF Attitude Ruthless Aggression Era as Gangrel, WWF Golden Era as Black Phantom, ECW as Vampire Warrior, and WCW as His Real Life Name, I will ever never Skip His Music in WWF Smackdown 1 WWF Attitude and WWF Smackdown 2 Know Your Role! The Brood has the best Bloodbaths
A lot Of Wrestlers Know How To Fight and grapple good and are quite dangerous don't pick a fight with one! Whether you are a Boxer, Grappler, kickboxer, Muay Thai, Traditional Stylist, ShootFighter or Even An MMA Dude Its not wise to fuck with Certain Pro Wrestlers goodness gracious man...If He Was Traing With Guys From he original UWF then he definetly wasn't no joke in a fight. I was a Shootfighter and I fought some so yeah I wouldn't mess with Gangrel.
That's not to mention that their bodies are designed opposite of MMA fighters: Pro-wrestlers specifically build their bodies (and muscle mass) to specifically TAKE hits and bumps. They build up that mass to soften blows and landings, like a human punching bag. So you're absolutely right that they're not the kind of people you want to get into a real tussle with, especially if -- as you mentioned -- they have some background or legitimate training in grappling or martial arts. It's essentially getting into a fight with a 235+ lbs human punching bag that can hit back as hard as they can get hit.
Basically he was kicking gangrel in the corner but hit him one too many times, gangrel got mad; punch him in the face and started beating the karate guy.
The Brood has the best entrance in wrestling. Gangrel is underrated too, thought he fit perfectly. Great worker, could have been given time on the mic to develop his character further.
; such a good fuckin dude. He worked a guy here, Vegas something and a similar situation where they asked Gangrel to do a non finish in front of like 12 people with a very green guy but did his job like a pro and told some great stories after. I can't say enuf good things about Gangrel.
THE HANNIBAL TV: I was wondering if Mr. Heath knowns the meaning of the word Gangrel? Gangrel Gang-Gruhl a lanky, loose-jointed person. a wandering beggar; vagabond; vagrant.
I think it is silly to suggest that being a fan of MMA as opposed to professional wrestling somehow makes someone more mature or more sophisticated. And also, clearly if a wrestling fan is watching a video like this, they are fully aware that wrestling is scripted. Behind-the-scenes videos like this are about the inner-workings of wrestling and assume that the viewer is well aware of the nature of the business. But I really don't understand why you'd make such a comment in reply to this video, which has nothing to do with the video's content.

Watched him throughout the Attitude Era and this is the first time I remember hearing him talk.
He used to say Blood is thicker than water
There's a reason why he cut only one promo in WWE/F, just look it up to see why.
DMG118 wouldn't have been Scarry at all with that voice.😂
Ruined his career
This is the first time I heard him talk 20 years after first seeing him. Loved his entrance music!
I miss gangrel lifting DDT, he did better than edge.
Bobby Roode's Glorious DDT is the same thing.
Lavern Davis jr the butterfly DDT
"The Impaler"!!! Gangrel always stood out to me as a kid.
Lavern Davis jr it is an 'implant or impaler ddt'
I'm almost certain they were smart, and called it The Impaler DDT. At least that's how I remember it in WWF Attitude on N64 LOL.

He's currently my wrestling trainer , Down to earth but serious about the Craft.
We’ve been able to enjoy the training from some maniacs filming a CCW training - he is awesome and very attentive. The little I’ve seen of his regular students, they are definitely well-trained.
Gangrel is a cool dude. I really enjoy his interviews.
I just wanna buy him a beer lol
Bill Proud Ya, or some blood... JK. I enjoyed watching him as a youngin', and and when I played Wrestlemania 2000.

The Brood had the best entrance in the Attitude Era. It was so cool the music was badass and the way they came up through the flames.
would love to see that footage of Gangrel beating up the karate guy.
I absolutely love this guy, I wanna have a beer with him! He sounds like everyone's friendly uncle who keeps people enraptured with stories at BBQs
Ive taken some classes at his gym in miami.
If he was 20 years younger he would be the "top guy" at wwe right now. His "era" was so stacked he was over and still didnt get pushed.

Hannibal videos deserves to find a much bigger audience than they currently do, his shoots are right up there with kayfabe commentaries.
I remember reading in an old issue of the Observer from like September 1993 and The Vampire Warrior had a backstage fight with someone but I thought I read it happened in a Florida territory
I literally never get the impression that he is full of s*** he's either the best liar ever in every interview or he is legit I think it he is legit
Gangrel vs Godfather was the first wrestling match I ever saw live.
You know it's bad when you have crooked vampire fangs. Guess he couldn't afford vampire braces.
Lol the face he makes @ 1:30 "I guess so." D:
Gangrel is such a laid back dude
I got to train and work shows with Dave quite a few times. He’s as down to earth and genuine as he appears in these interviews. And very appreciative when I bandaged him up when he got color in Fresno on night.
"I dont know if you know him, but hes a character" - from a guy with fangs haha😂
Gangrel so underrated he had the entrance the presence the finisher he had it all pure intimidation and didn’t have to say a word. His vampire gimmick was so cool
The Brood theme song just be the best theme in the entire Attitude Era. No one had a song that menacing.
I really enjoy your channel..Always interesting interviews:)

he wore the puffy shirt from Seinfeld
He was in the third Human Centipede film as one of the prisoners. He was the one with Crohn's Disease.

lovin' the 60fps vids. Keep it up!
Seems like a cool dude. The Brood hit during my goth years so ol' Gangrel will ALWAYS hold a spot in my heart.
Yet another wrestler WWF didnt use correctly. Dude had a killer DDT 🧛♂️
I'm kind of missing part of the story. When karate man went to kick, Gangrel dodged and lumped him one?
Basically he was kicking gangrel in the corner but hit him one too many times, gangrel got mad; punch him in the face and started beating the karate guy.
The Brood has the best entrance in wrestling. Gangrel is underrated too, thought he fit perfectly. Great worker, could have been given time on the mic to develop his character further.
This guy still gives me night mares more then undertaker did
He had one of the best entrance music and entrance in Wwe

I met Gangrel in Australia. Super nice guy!
I wish I could meet Gangrel in person. Oh God, this man is awesome. I didn't know that before!

This guy's hilarious!! Love ya Gangrel!
THE HANNIBAL TV: I was wondering if Mr. Heath knowns the meaning of the word Gangrel?
Gangrel Gang-Gruhl
a lanky, loose-jointed person.
a wandering beggar; vagabond; vagrant.
My fav entrance and best gimmicks
So this dude has permanent vampire teeth?
Could you have Edge talk for him like in the old days? XD
does this guy have his canines sharpened!?
They're false.
Man he has a thick neck
Gangrel is a true legend, amazing nice guy as well.
Are those his real teeth?
Fake teeth
NEVER got the push he needed. Hard to compete with the attitude era guys I’ll admit though.
Brood vs wyaatts first blood match
Anyone know? Teeth clip on? Implants?
Terry Wilson permanent caps
Is implanted
Good guy, but does anybody know if his teeth are permanently like that?
He says they are.
Yes... permanent.
I thought I saw him take them off during a part of the main interview, but I could be wrong
Yes they are, One got knocked out by Too Cold Scorpio on a show and got it replaced...
JFC Goldie Hawn really fell apart
I wonder if his fangs are real
Nope
The Brood for Hof 2018

🙏🏻🧐👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👊🏻
Fangs? This guy's reality check has bounced!
Gangrel is hilarious..
Difficult to go to Japan? You get a passport - you get on a plane - you're in Japan. Very simple.
Gangrel is awesome!
well, clearly he does LOL
G4p
Boss!
Sick of cartoons and ready for real shoots? Time to switch to UFC children
....?
I think this guy is trying to say wrestling is fake.
A typical rasslin fan believes rasslin is the ultimate and toughest sport

You think something about this is silly but it isn't rasslin? The cartoon based around flippy flops and the worst comedy in TV history?
GANGREL...LEGEND
