BARFI is MORE THAN “quite good” easily one of the best Indian movies, if not, THE BEST Indian film we’ve seen to date!
The references to classic cinema from the silent era and even to great classics like Singing in the Rain are just spot on!
The performances were so grounded and true to the genre of a romantic dramedy.
As a first time watching Prinyanka Chopra, this proves she’s a stellar talent on screen. She clearly studied her craft in order to serve her character with authenticity.
We hope you enjoy how we received this film. It had twists and turns we certainly did not see coming.

This movie was made as a tribute to some classic films like Mr. Bean and Charlie Chaplin and The notebook too. There are scenes in these movie are direct references. When it originally came out it took really harsh criticism for being a copy of those films. But really people misunderstood the difference between copy and homage.
0:49 It is a conscious reference to 'The Notebook'. This movie belong to the genre of Bollywood where the movie gives homage by re enacting scenes from different movies of world cinema.

Ranbir is indeed the best actor in bollywood no doubt on that. But is he superior to every industry? I guess not. Every industry has great actors. For you it's Ranbir, for me it's dhanush, i'm pretty sure every other person has their own superstar who they believe is the great actor. There's no south, there's no north to it.
Understand this, change your way of think or else you'll be living in a bubble world. In the end it will make miserable.
Don't make unnecessary triggering stupid comments on social media just because it's free and think you're the savage and the fearless one because you're hiding under internet. Go grow some beard first, and prepare for your studies.
