- This is the most powerful build in the game hands down. There is nothing that can kill bosses or anything faster than this as of right now. Spells are insanely broken. They do more damage than anything else in the game and especially the ice spells. Able to kill lu bu in under a minute. This is the most powerful wizardry spell build.

9:40 - No, poison doesn't beat Ice. The order of elements from the level up screen goes Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. The order of advantage goes: Wood beats Earth, Earth beats Water, Water beats Fire, Fire beats Metal, and Metal beats Wood. You basically just put all the elements around each other in order from the level-up screen, and then draw a star shape between each of them. Each element skips the next in line to beat the one after.

Had no clue that poison makes it so debuffs never run out, that's such a good find
just tried this out, fun build. a little hard to get the spell ominous chill to hit smaller targets, but if its big..expect to melt them. i also used frost lance alot, but overall the concept was a blast.

Heres a free simple tip. If you find a boss that's hard just respec to which ever phase they're weak to and make sure you have one of that phase's hardest hitting spells. Use the battle sets mechanic to save you previous stats how you like them and just respec to whatever you need for the boss in question then switch back to you preferred stats with battle set after the boss. Really makes this the easiest Soulslike ever. FromSoft games could really use something like that battle sets mechanic.
They wont bc of the pvp aspect. It would allow players to switch between builds instantly. For single player or coop sure but the game dev your referring to had pvp
@@sooperfy naw, make it only work at a bonfire. Last I checked, you can't use a bonfire when you're invaded.

Thanks for this. I was planning to start a spell build on the weekend and having a reference to follow helps a lot.
Also killinkg people with poison is fun. I have poisoned people and fought defensively after that until their life drops. And if they start running away I get offensive and kill them. It must be frustrating for my opponents LOL.
I also think the Man of Benevolence Set could work well if you have an accesory that heals you on wizardly damage. You could have a wizard tank that increases damage while in perfect condition.
No accessory to heal on wizardy..but if you use the spell that heals when you do dmg that'll heal you...even on poison dots..but its not alot
Heal on wizardry on accesories does exist, but just like heal on melee attack, the heal is ambysmal even at A- scaling. You would mainly use it to proc heal effects instead of mitigating healing pot usage.
I'd recommend getting some ranged wraps with the grace the decreases the amount of armor u need for a set effect(yes it's a rare roll). This allows you to run almost 2 sets, in most of my builds have two crossbows with this effect and I constantly have the strategist of genius effect with only twopeices( rank 4) it's well worth playing with multiple sets
you can tell Strangers of Paradise Cyclic Warrior and Sage really left a lasting impression on him.
I think I'll just replay SOP tbh. I tried this build and it feels underwhelming. You struggle just to make your spells hit the target.

for endgame build it would be better to use "Grace of Lingbao Tianzun the Pure One".
spirit vulnerability, power drop, amplify damage, negative effect duration and damage increase to enemies with negative effects. All of it are set's bonuses.
In this case you have a lot of free space to increased damage via weapon\armor slots
How can I get that set?
thought that specific grace only increases damage per negative effect, which means you will still need a way to get at least 3 negative effects on the enemy to get maximum value.
@@masterwalpha boost luck stat, farm sub-missions where you need to kill bosses right away. Like "tale of guiguzi" , "legend of the thunder god" and etc.
@@pnumthrx 1 negative effect through wizardy spell is from set (power drop), one from helm effect (damage amplification through wiz. spell), and 1 from Ominous chill skill. You have almost instantly 3 negatve effects on boss, not speaking about Tengshe spirit that will add another 3 debuffs
@@AA-yv8uk Fair enough, but the drop rate on graces from what i've heard is extremely rare, much less on pieces you actually want.

Get a range weapon that lets you drop a piece of set gear and still have all the set bonus drop the staff and use the staff that gives 4% damage to wiz spellls you get late in the game for more :) awesome build though! nice work

I’m using Lingbao grace w Guding Blade and it’s the best combo. Versatile and can fit any build. I can spec for any element and don’t even need to change my armor.
When you spec into others element, do you change the stats on armor? Like changing water dmg for fire dmg? So if we save it in the battle set does it changes to? Or is it still be water dmg?

only thing I change is the element bonus like +20fire > +20ice

I've only been using venomous discharge because the huge area of effect, I would have used this eventually but it was worded unattractively... Now that I know the cloud follows this is incredibly good!

Where did you farm the 5star libationer gear in new game plus? What mission?
Final Boss. And especially on NG + it would be less effective. Since you mentioned you can’t deflect and doge well. Late game bosses will hit you while you are on low spirit. Leaving you broken to be killed. Many late game bosses won’t give you time to spam cast spells. (Especially in close quarters) Final boss will be to squishy to hit with delay spells. You could go with elemental embedded weapons or use elemental enchanting on you weapons. Then embed elemental accumulation increase on you other equipment. 1 or 2 martial arts and maybe one normal attack combo. You’ll proc almost everything and still have high spirit. An addition you lean attack patterns and your subconscious will get used to it. (. BTW did you of u give the panda at last 10 jewellery fragments it give you 5 start accessories granted. I tried a couple of times with 50 to 1000 fragments and didn’t get something different for now)
Nice vid, i just feel like we need 4 additional spellslots and double buff duration in this game, the stuff i can take with me is always so limited, also it feels like all i do is reaplying buffs, but its still a lot of fun dont get me wrong
Especially the elemental buffs have a way too short duration

Guding blade primarily scales with metal then fire i believe. A starter armor you could use is hong ling as for spells honestly which ever one you have access to. If all else fails guding blade's martial art is pretty strong at spirit breaking so you can fall back on that too.

What set is this from ? How can I get the gear and weapon? I just started and I’m chapter 4 and love spell casting play style
The set is from guo lia(a reinforcement guy). Not sure what part/chapter you unlock him, but you can always use hong ling the monk girls set as a filler until you can unlock his. Also in order to unlock him as a reinforcement you might have to do a side quest I don't remember.

Your level is in the hundreds. Can you tell us the experience you had at the beginning of your spell build? Was it difficult?
Just made this build at around level 70, I don't think it would be worth it without the ominous chill spell at the minimum, so you'd want to be at least level 55 before doing this build. Also worth noting that if the enemies are resistant to ice you're going to have to do it the old fashioned way 😂
@@JM_321 I agree with this comment. Thankfully your fatal strike damage is pretty up there already without the armor set. So you can run some assassin armor you start to find pretty early. 30s or so until you can get the recommended armor and weapons.
Why assassins armor?
Each elemental status effect has a utility effect as well, poison prolongs other effects, fire increases ice damage, lightning is a stun, Stone is a slow, and for some reason ice is also a slow
Dude do not give people wrong info if you are not sure. Chill reduces stone rez , and affects high spirit - It depletes faster for enemy and prevents from recovering low one. Fire also Burns not only reduces resistance

I knew spells were broken i use engulfing flame before and after fatal blows lol crazy damage
Metal phase, the virtue focused on wizardry is outshined by all other virtue spells by far 😂
Was going for metal phase build until fire spells out dps metal spells by double dmg having less points invested in.

Idk about lightning being the weakest once I popelemental plague I can shock a boss twice and apply lighting then build meter with lighting weapon on my staff , Lu bu didn’t stand a chance 😂

This is pretty much the only spell that is broken.
I tried this build on Lu Bu and it knocks him off his hourse super easily. I don't have any of my gear traits set for anything related to spirit damage, either. No idea why he knocks off it so fast.
Don't parry any red attacks

Guo lia's set. he is a reinforcement. Don't remember what part/chapter you get him or if a sub mission is required to unlock him.

What do you get through?
Deflect and take on 1v1s as much as possible, also usually i run lower cost spells like the frost/fire/lightning bolts til around 6/7 then switch when i get to a flag. I use a bo staff for everything as well
I prefer "wizardry damage" over "damage increase with enemies wirh negative effects" since you get higher damage even without negative effects. You need time to proc the negative effects
but you're always proccing so yea

The reason the poison spell extends debuff is your spirit animal thing (Tengshe)

When an enemy has poison no other debuffs can run out
Yeah poison's special shtick is it extends all other negative effects. Which basically means it pauses/restarts the timer while poison is on the target.
How to get OP at the beginning of the game ? I've been playing for 7 days and haven't killed 1st boss
Assuming this is real... I must admit that the tutorial boss is harder than many of the bosses that come later. If you wanna have an easier time, here are a few tips:
- Farm morale levels. You can level up your morale up to level 25. I recommend killing humans until you level up to 25. Morale level makes a huge difference and this alone should be enough to kill the boss.
- On the second phase of the boss, you can charge the divine beast gauge and summon it by pressing triangle+circle. If you summon it, you insta-win the battle. You can make your life easier by using the wood spell "inner breath" that will increase the rate of the divine beast gauge.
- The polearm you can get before the boss or a fast weapon should maintain the first phase of the boss on a stagger state most of the time. Just repeat attackx3 -> spirit attack and it should keep him staggered, with the occasional deflect if he attacks with an spirit skill.
Then after the first mission, you can raise the friendship with the first companion you get up to level 10 (give him cups in the reinforcement menu or kill enemies with him as your companion), then you'll get his set. His set alone + martial arts damage + electric/stone damage + buffing your weapon with electricity/stone + using the martial arts of his lance should be enough to carry you on during the entire game.
Well here's what I did, I actually farmed some levels first. I ran and killed that demon tiger over and over until I had a lot of points to spend various virtues. 3 in wood for absorb vitality, 2 in earth for enhanced defense (ED), and 4 in metal for calamity bolt (CB).
Be defensive, keep CB on him and ED on yourself, youll take a lot less damage. During first phase just avoid him, wait till he does his red crit hit and parry it, keep doing that till you can fatal strike spirit attack him. Second phase was basically the same.
Tbh either u just farm your moral to 20+ or Git Gud, possibly both

Btw, doesnt really seem like its worth the investment to get 99 water only to get a 100 damage increase per icicle from 205 to 315 or so damage.
Getting from 40 to 99 is a big investment. The damage on 40 water is still good enough and you can have points in other virtues like you showed which means you can also have good damage in fire, poison and some extra health from wood and such. thats much more beneficial depending on the situtation compared to just having 99 water.
Especially since certain enemies are weak to certain virtues its better to have diversity in spells.

Spells are broken on enemy that' just stand there. Something mobile such as Lu Bu? Not so much. The clip showing him fighting Lu shows he's casting his max rank Ominous Chill and it's barely touching him,
He has a video of the whole fight. He spams that spell and kills lu bu in under a minute

@@demonintellect9834 it's not NG+ because NG+ the tutorial is recommended 100 alone. Max level is 150... he's IN BASE GAME and triple the recommended level.

This is just a level 145 build. This is not a min/max build. Hardly a build then. It utilizes the strategist set and the most obvious spells
Max level is 150, min/max would be 5 start equipment and graces which are incredibly difficult to get even in NG+ so honestly getting a completely optimized min/max build at this point in the game is unlikely.
@@pnumthrx He's using a set you get from base game. I didn't see the grace, maybe that was later. And he can always use an earlier lvl set.
My point was he's an all-rounder with those stats being that high. He's just the average lvl 145. Even as a build its a simple one. I feel as though if more people posted builds, we would have already seen one like this
@@zenraloc It a build that's relatively easy to make yes I agree, but there are people who prefer something they can copy pasta, or to have something to build off of/tweak for their playstyle. I personally would use something similar to this if I got the grace that rewarded you for having 3+ virtues near the same average or something like that.
This games melee combat is so fucking awful I can tell this is the only way I’ll get through the game and that makes me sad. Miss Nioh 2 combat so much

There is no point in the game where wizardry builds are as strong as melee or hybrid builds, and the difference is laughable in new game. "I don't see why people are complaining that spells and their damage is not strong at all". Because everyone playing around with their new spells when they hit level 3, 5, 7, 14, etc. use their spells and say "wow, this does half the damage as a hit from my weapon, costs twice the spirit, and has a long animation that i can't combo or chain into anything else". Wizardry is trash in general, decent at best when combined with strong melee.
