Well In her defense.... plants cant actively make noise when it needs something.... children can. So its easier to keep something alive when you have it in your face making noise to satisfy their needs.
I always love when you say “personally, for me as a person”. It always makes me want to say “personally, for me as a walrus “ or something as ridiculous just to see who’s listening. 😂 would amuse me greatly
I wonder if the different experience you guys had with the popsicles comes down to Chris's sense of smell being weak since smell is a big part of how we taste things.
Same! I got ours for Billy Joel last fall since we were up in the nosebleeds in the stadium. People around us were holding their ears, but we were fine. I carry mine in my purse all the time because we go to bars that have live music.
I’ve had some VERY loud students and been in some loud classrooms. My loop earplugs are my favorite tool in my toolbox, keeps me calm and focused in the loud environments
I’m so glad you said this, because I teach preschool (3&4) and I just bought them after watching this video! I still want to be able to hear my kids and other staff, but the constant noise is A LOT sometimes.
I wear them and honestly it makes me a better parent. Especially in the car! I also wear them to theatre productions and anywhere that might be loud. Makes everything so much less stressful.
7:36 I wear my loops mainly when my boyfriend is doing something loud like watching football with friends and I need to sleep because I just got off a night shift. It blocks out their background cheers completely and I can have my phone with a podcast on and I can hear it a little in the background so I’m not stuck with my own thoughts. I sleep like a baby with that combo
I have a pair of loops! I agree I don’t like them in day to day life, HOWEVER!!! Two areas they are AMAZING: concerts! Can still hear perfectly well and enjoy the music, but no ringing ears afterwards! And secondly, I’m a teacher, and they are a life saver at pep rally’s 😂 100s of screaming kids is def something that I appreciate being able to dull the sound of
When i first started watching, i didnt understand you and Chris lol hes so calm and youre so quirky. But after a few years of watching yall i totally get it. Yin yangs but also very compatible. Im just sitting here hoping i find this awesomeness of a relationship you two have. Goals ❤
your plant is a golden pothos, also sometimes called devil's ivy. Id really be surprised that the app wouldnt have it on there honestly, its quite a common plant.
I have tried the freezie things and I have found that sometimes the flavor bits settle in the bottom of the tube if frozen upright. If you shake them before putting in the freezer the flavor is more evenly distributed and freeze them laying down instead of upright
I definitely need to get the plantagotchi. I have the hardest time with succulents, they always die. This would help me understand what they need. I’ll just wait to see when the price might go down for a sale. It’s so cute!! 🥰
I love my loops when I want to sleep but still hear kids. I noticed I try to listen for kids at night and my sleep was distributed a lot whenever they would make any noise (good/mom hearing).
Thank you for reviewing that planter, it's so cute but I now know that it would absolutely not work for me 😂 it would drive me up the wall seeing it grumpy about not being hugged enough, hahaha
Loops are awesome! I got the Experience version for when Hubby and I went to a Billy Joel concert in November. They worked great. I now carry them in my purse for when we go to music venues.
As a nightshifter the loop earbuds are perfect. Blocks put sounds but doesn't block out your alarm sounds at all, plus very comfy. They are my go to!!! I have also used them at concerts and at extremely loud events that normally would make my ears ring and this muffles it enough to let me enjoy the event without going deaf.
I love my loops! I use them nightly! My husband snores and it was a constant struggle. But loops have worked wonders allowing me to fall asleep and stay asleep with him snoring next to me. Also, my 10 year uses some for school. She has adhd and struggled to focus when there is noise around her. She wears these when she needs the room to be a bit quieter for her to focus.
I LOVE Loops! I currently have the quiets and engage. I hate being in crowded /loud places but sometimes they’re unavoidable. I also used to work in a fabrication workshop and went to sites with high noise levels..now i work on vessels, and the loop earplugs and my noise cancelling earbuds are still a must. Regardless whether i’m working or not, I always have my loops and earbuds with me in my work backpack and daily purse ❤
I’ve tried different flavors of those popsicles. We found them at Costco. They’re… ok. They’re better when you let them melt down a bit and get to a slushy consistency but the flavors aren’t very impactful.
The Loops my man are such life savers! He got me the Loops Switch ones that offer three levels of noise dampening and they are truly the best. I get overstimulated very easily to the point where I can get quite snippy if I’ve been in a loud environment too long. Having the Loops has helped me remain calm and get through dinner rush with a toddler without going into a meltdown lol
I feel like the plant thing would be great for a small and slow growing plant like maybe a succulent or cactus. I do really like the idea of that pot! Reminds me of those robot dog toys, but a pot, lol.
My mouth started watering when the bag of Bubs appeared 😂 My favorite is the original chewy raspberry-liquorice. Foam one is also good. My other favorite is the blueberry flavoured. Bubs is my safe candy because they are gluten free and so many flavors to choose from ❤
I love to use loops for parties and areas with loud noises as I get a headache fast + works great for shutting out eating/breathing noises for other people, which i struggle with
not a parent but i have loops and i really like them. my office is right next to one of those “u-c-baby” clinics so i am constantly hearing terrifyingly loud fetus heartbeats coming through the wall. i can’t hear them since i started using the loops, 10/10. also oh my god chris growing up in finland is such a read
My child is on the spectrum and uses loops in crowds and in their lectures, and finds them very helpful in lowering sensory issues that interfere with their concentration and comfort. Highly recommend for those with auditory difficulties.
My toddler loves the fruit ice pops i did learn you have tp shake the pops before freezing so all the juice is more evenly disributed so the flavor is better through it.
Wait. What? A candy shortage?! 😱 People, you have to stop buying Swedish candy immediately! I need my candy! Shure, there are 1000 other kinds of candy at the stores here in Sweden, but I NEED THAT CANDY! Oh, you know what? It's not that good anyway. In fact, it tastes downright disgusting! I swear! 😇
I'm autistic and Loops are lifesavers for avoiding too much sensory input when I'm out of the house. They've been especially great for restaurants and grocery stores.
My friend has the earplugs and they work well at concerts with loud music and trying to hear a friend talk. Through are great. Tyr could be used probably at games too
A little fun fact about the BUBS candy is that most of them are vegan! Some of the diffirent flavours have always been vegan and most of the original flavors have been slowly made vegan aswell. The "foam" candy is something that you will find in most swedish store, but BUBS were one of the first ones to make vegan candy that still had a similar consistancy as gelatine candy. So a lot of the hype it gets in sweden is due to that, plus they are the perfect amount of sour and sweet. I definetly recommend the licorice and rasberry flavoured once!
I have used a competitor of the loops for about 7 years. I cannot recommend them enough for use in movie theaters or for kids sporting events. They block out the high pitched whistles and yells as well as uneven movie sound.
Thanks for another informative and entertaining video, Rachel! With regard to the Loops, do you have any thoughts on how effective/comfortable they would be to use whilst sleeping with a partner who snores? Standard earplugs block out so much sound that, I feel, they would be dangerous to wear (ie., wouldn’t hear snoring nor would I hear the smoke detectors). Take care!
13:55 Me: "Ooh. Those sound good. Maybe I'll see if they have them by me." Rachel: 'reads off the flavours, including raspberry and coconut' Me: "Ok. Two of my allergies, so maybe not." 😭😭😭
I’m like my dad when he was alive, I need background noise to get stuff done because my mind and how it works. But I ALSO need background noises of my kids are gone and the house is silent since I’m so used to noise and can’t handle the quiet . My dad did the same after having 7 kids and then suddenly an empty/quiet house is so uncomfortable and we can’t handle it lol
Bubs are so good!! I can’t get them here in California but I found some in a candy shop in Alaska and it was good. It’s a good texture, but i haven’t tried any of the sour ones.
For anyone with sensitive teeth who uses sensitivity toothpaste - DON'T RINSE AFTER BRUSHING! Seriously, you're not supposed to rinse after brushing your teeth. I learned this the hard way 😅 It makes a HUGE difference.
If you want to use mouthwash use it before brushing 😁 my dentist told me 👍 Also don't rinse with water after brushing either! Let the toothpaste do its job
@@Ella1297the OP is correct, at least according to my dentist. Toothpaste has fluoride which helps reduce cavities and protect/remineralize enamel. Pretty sure that’s a golden pothos. It’s the most common pothos and is super hardy! Sometimes it’ll get flecks of yellow. Idk if anyone has mentioned this already!
Loop earplugs are good for a lot of things, but I've never seen anyone be like "it's great for tuning out excessive noises from kids!" I normally see it for like. City noises, construction noises, machine/metal shop noises, stuff like that.
Rachel with three healthy children: *points to a plant* “This is the only thing I’ve ever kept alive.” 😂

I thought the same but usually frozen things don’t have a strong smell anyway
Just what I need, a plant that has mood swings. 😆

All the flowers and plants in the background are so pretty 😍
