You can tell the change in times. Those children that are awake, are possibly glued to a video game. When I was a lad, every kid would be out playing snowballs, making snowmen and building barricades as they stock piled snowballs. Every other kid would have a homemade sledge and those would be played on in the afternoon. While the sledges would be used in the morning, to carry shopping for neighbours who couldn’t shop for themselves.
Very nice walk. I live in Lancashire and went for a one and a half hour walk in the park. I sent a short video to my sister. She asked why I had done the video in black and white!!! I hadn't . 👍❄️☃️
Where about do you live in Lancashire? I was born in Lancashire, many moons ago! There wasn’t any central heating or underfloor heating, we only had a Coal fire 🔥 We had to walk to school in the snow & remember always being cold 🥶 ⛄️❄️ All the kids in the street❤ played outside for hours! I’ve lived in Australia for a long time now & never miss the cold weather ❄️🥶 ⛄️

It`s pretty yes, but it`s not deep. When I was kid growing up in a Lancashire city snow was the norm every winter. We had to walk to school. Everyone wore wllington boots. We didn`t walk on the snow but rather in the snow as our feet sank down into it and the snow came up the side of our wellies. As a result of normal climate changer over the years (from cooling to warming which has always occurred) we now get very little snow., and what bit we do get: the media goes into a frenzy on behalf of those pushing the man-made global warming agenda. Back in 1983 there was a very heavy snowfall in Blackpool. When I say heavy I am not joking. The snow stuck for several weeks, schools closed down and deliveries to supermarkets and shops could not get through, resulting in supermarket shelves running out of essentials like bread. Back then milk used to be delivered to the doorstep and this too was impossible whilst the Council `gritters` couldn`t possibly go down every street, avenue and cul-de-sac. Many people were ill-prepared because they`d grown up being told that snow doesn`t stick in coastal areas due to the salt air. It was said at the time that the last time Blackpool had so much snow was 90 years ago. Global cooling / warming is cyclic in much the same way as what the seasons are (just different timing inbetween the warming and cooling) This is why we have ice caps melting and a later time re-freezing. What poses a problem now of course is people`s reluctance to WALK. Back in the day when the U.K. had lots of snow there wasn`t all the cars there are nowadays. People also lived closer to their place of work, and children walked to school. Younger family members also took care of elderly relatives When society changes the way it has done then we cannot alter the climate to fit in with the life style changes that people have made.

in the valley you can get snow from October to April.
Its about the same as us in Atherton 1 inch or so we used to get it about a foot deep in the 70s
