FINALLY made it to Bethel NY
    Aug 10 for my 62 birthday ...
5 hour drive ...got lost ...gps screwed up in the woods ..
it was like a maze of woods getting to Bethel..
    but got there ...
SURREAL ...A JOY to see the sites and museum ...
fascinated by those three days just had to go be where that history was made...

Thank you, Joni Mitchell for brilliantly capturing from the ether the sights, sounds and feelings.

I'm 70 and I remember it. Oh yeah do I ever. 54 years ago....pretty sweet. It's "morning maniac music"
I am going back for the first time next summer. Been promising myself that for years.

You guys in USA are blessed be it music ,fashion art freedom and to many to mention. You lead others copy ,iam from south Africa watch Woodstock the douctomery, music played on stage the best and it was live and a
kicking for three days, and my favorite group is Crosby stills nash And young and artist country Joe McDonald . And I'm sixty nine years young and still rocking with Neil young, thanks for the music.

Was there July 5 2017 ,355 mi to get to the site i remember Woodstock back then i was 14 it is something that has never left my head something told me that one day i must go there it took a long time but i finaly made it .To sit on the side of the hill looking down at where the stage was and remembering the music and the performers that were there it really is something everyone from my time should do it was to me very spiritual very emotional i sat there on the hill for a very long time remembering all the things in my life from 1969 till 2017 will i ever go back, i hope so, someday. Thank You for letting me share this...PEACE AND LOVE ALWAYS!

God Bless Max Yasgar! Visited the historic site July 2022 to see Jewel and Train. Awesome museum. Got the poster, the tee shirt, the pin. Felt more alive than I have in a long time! Even paid tribute to Max and his family at the cemetery !

My Generation! The music and the ideals of love, peace, and happiness. What a time to be alive and hear and see Joe, Janis, Jimi, Alvin, CSNY, and more perform the music that really mattered. Alas, nothing remains the same and our time in the sun is a warm remembrance filled with nostalgic interludes. In these dark times, we seek a place we can go to and dream. Such places are watching performances such as these. Powerful, spiritual, explosive, all the adjectives one can think of and more. Our troubles are forgotten at least for a little while as we join in sweet harmony the call for joy. Art is resistance, the revolution continues.

Though the info is available online, visiting Woodstock site is a spiritual sight that really sets the stage for this great past event. Went there for the 47th, very tastefully done to preserve the 69 image. Deep feeling for what has occurred and is still echoing into the future. Sullivan County, NY never came to realize that Woodstock put them on the map. Truly a cultural trip of reality into time, at first easy to overlook the simplicity, then it grows on you each day.

one thing that's curious .CSN&Y made it big doing an acoustic set in the film, but their electric work on the intro and outro to the film is truly ,no pun, electrifying. you can't separate it from the film's images in your head. I've seen it a couple hundred times .their music in a lot of ways makes this great Oscar winning doc feature (1970)what it is.

I was in the jungles of Vietnam, duckin’ & dodgin’ bullets, hand grenades & mortar rounds during the time Woodstock was going on, but I did get to see the movie when I got back home, so I guess I was kinda there.
