I call it stoppage foxtrot. It is the opposite of a proper feather step. As the name says, it is supposed to be a light feather quick-quick on 2-3.
There are also other stoppages in this demo. I like Sinkinson´s waltz, but not this type of foxtrot. It does not have flow and good timing.
I am surprised because I have just seen the EXCELLENT foxtrot demo at the UK this day published by Szymon Kalinowski (without Sinkinson
directing them). I have praised THAT foxtrot to the skies. This new demo to me is hell of stoppage and destroys foxtrot.

What about the demo from Arunas and Katusha with the same timing? I agree that in this demo's counts 3-4 are lacking the same flight

@@jaxonh.6330 Arunas and Katusha have danced thousands of foxtrots with PERFECT TIMING. That is their landmark in history.
Because of that, no couple in history comes even close to Arunas and Katusha in foxtrot. They are completely unique.
The thing many forget, is that the flow and gliding of the opening section of foxtrot, (feather, reverse turn, three step etc.
build up to a tremendous artistry in fallaways etc. thereafter. Without the introduction, no climax artistry.
Note that in the above demo directed by Sinkinson, he uses a suspiciously extra slow music, to camouflage that this type of feather step transcends the bar, the death against all music and rules of music. If Strauss or Beethoven had seen that, they would have exploded. The same in the Hollywood pop industry. Note that the TEMPO can be changed, not transcending the bar. In Arunas and Katusha web on internett, slow foxtrot with perfect timing is highlighted in most of the videos, because the legacy of A & K i s foxtrot. And their legacy is underwritten by Bill & Bobbie Irvine.

This music is 22bmp ! At tournament you would have 28 bars per minute ! So Mirko ist dancing more than 20% slower than what we usually see, and thats amazing and doesn't destroy foxtrot.

There is a kind of stoppage also in some videos with Sinkinson. I think Sinkinson's interpretation was sometimes not traditional but nevertheless always being in harmony with this particular music. John Wood, also the King of Foxtrot, used to dance Foxtrot sometimes even slower than Sinkinson. You are right in saying that Arunas was very cautious with music and at the same time extremely interesting in his mysical interpretation. It is the essence of the Foxtrot music that allows many different mysical interpretations which can be harmonious
