Got my Wind AWD two months ago. Love it. Been driving in ECO mode because I live in the city. So many lights and tons of traffic so there's no need to keep it on Sport mode. Been averaging 321 miles of range that way. But when I get to the highway, bam, just effortless speed and power. Love it. And had two days without power in my building for a scheduled power equipment replacement. The EV6 easily charged up my portable batteries and kept the fridge running for two days. One of the best purchases I've ever made.
IT KEPT YOUR FRIDGE RUNNING?! That’s crazy! How’d it do that? That means you couldn’t leave the house because the fridge was connected to the car? Lol.
@TheHungryRoad sorry, lol. it charged up my portable batteries.the batteries kept the fridge running. But yeah, if you have a long enough extension cord, you can plug in the fridge.
There are some amazing lease deals on this model right now. Some dealers in some states will offer a 24k mile, two year lease for $165 per month with only $2000 down. And that’s for this model or even the slightly upgraded E Tech Wind AWD.
Crazy right? It’s like the EV hype has severely died down and now manufacturers can’t move the cars fast enough. Which is why I bought a GT. Lol. Browse the channel to see that video. Thank you for watching!
Little more info on charging. KiloWatt is king... 120v outlets generally max out at 20amps in most homes. 120*20=2400watts or 2.4 kw 240v outlets for your dryer are usually 30amp. 240*30=7200watts or 7.2kw 240v outlet for your stove or dedicated EV charger in your garage will be 50 amp. 240v*50a=12000watts or 12kw A slow public charger will generally put out 7kw. a DC fast charger will be 50kw Superchargers are usually 150kw up to 350kw and maybe more. This is what charges them from 20-80% in 18 minutes I picked up the Gravity Blue Wind AWD with Tech package (have to have the surround cameras) just 3 days ago. Yours looks a lot more blue than mine. Its nearly midnight blue.
Just got my 2024 wind trim Awd long range blk on blk with all the perks and coming from my 2020 KIA Niro EV, never gave me a single issue for 3 years and all that was ever needed was windshield washer and tire rotation, I'm expecting the same from my EV6 for even longer and I don't miss changing my own oil not even a lil bit.
I agree. The meridian surround system is their bottom of the. It's not what meridian puts in land Rover. I think kia needs to get a better model of the meridian
@@TheHungryRoad 😂 Joking apart.. your enthusiasm for the EV6 has helped me make a decision! I’ll be ordering mine on Monday, and I’m dead serious. I test drove one on Tuesday and really liked it, but wasn’t sure if I was getting carried away or not. I really think it offers the best balance of performance, range, size and charging capability in its class. For me, it’s also the best looking offering in its class in my opinion. @@Mental_Fortitude. If I had my way, I would go with white in the GT trim. White just works the best with the standard black accents, lime green calipers and the red lights. It just works! Congratulations on getting to order one! I love this thing so much!
My cheat sheet is just notes I took from the website. Lol. This isn’t a press car so I don’t get all of the ins and outs of the car, but you are right. I did get tripped up on the V2L adapter because I had no idea what it was or how it worked, but not I do understand what it’s for.
All the negative people talking about electric vehicles… After five years, the battery dissipates 1 to 3% insurance doesn’t go up because of the fire issues there’s no such thing as fire issues anymore not got taken away when Tesla started coming out in 2015 the first one or two years everybody figured out about the battery catches on fire the batteries are guaranteed 1000 thousand miles resale on these cars are more better than the resale on gas powered cars. This was a rental, I actually bought a Runway Red GT 6 weeks ago. Lol. Thank you for the math which makes so much sense!
This was great. I just got an EV Light (my first EV) and was a bit intimidated by all the tech. This was very educational. Thanks.

Go into setting and set it to unlock on approach. If that Wind has the Tech package.
I feel like I looked for it pretty heavily, but didn’t find it.

It’s pretty damn cool isn’t it?!

If I won a dollar every time you said “no big deal” I’d be able to get the GT twin motor version.
I’d be able to retire. 😂
