  • Hello, everyone.
Welcome to the Plumber Story channel.
This building is the Company Cafeterias.
This company cafeteria has a grease trap.
This company cafeteria was undergoing interior renovation and wanted their sewer pipes cleaned.
We will be cleaning the sewer pipe section from the cafeteria to the last manhole.
We are going to empty the pipes.
The grease trap is not mandatory in our country.
I saw in the comments that there are some countries where grease trap is mandatory for commercial buildings.
Even if there is a grease trap,
if not managed, the grease goes into the sewer pipe.
An increasingly common cause for sewer overflows is sewer pipes blocked by grease.
Grease is a byproduct of cooking from meat fats, lard, cooking oils, shortening, butter, margarine, food scraps, baked goods, sauces and diary products.
    Clean your trap regularly.
Routine maintenance is necessary in order to reduce the risk of blockages.
Do not flush grease with hot water.
This just moves the problem further down the line.
The grease will simply build-up further down the line.
Hot water cools quickly, and so does hot grease. When it cools, it solidifies.
You can check it out in the second half of this video.
High pressure jetting is perfect for dislodging debris and substances found within, around or attached to a drain and sewer.
This technology is also the most environmentally friendly and simple solution to many sewer and drainage problems.
High pressure water jetting blasts highly compressed and concentrated pressurized water out of a nozzle.
This technology eliminates foreign substances inside the pipe and leaves the pipe hollow.
We are all having a hard time because of COVID 19.
I hope you don't lose your courage and stay safe and happy.
    Thank you for watching!

    Good work!
Question: would more detergent help to avoid such problems?
And would in the cleaning process detergents like dishwashing agents help to remove this fatbergs?

    • @PlumberStory
      @PlumberStory  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1. If you use more detergent, the environment will be more destroyed.
I think the problem with the sewer pipe will get a little better.
      2. A detergent that breaks down milk fat will help a little.
Detergent that breaks down milk fat is expensive.

Just came across this video, I disagree with the comment" it's almost impossible for plastic bags to get into pipes during floor construction" it is possible, almost very possible. It is due to careless construction workers, I have seen it where there's plastic bags in trenches with pipes, I have also pulled a plastic sandwich wrapper out of a waterline pipe that feed multi buildings and the only person that ate that kind of sandwiches was the foreman at the time. I gave him shit as I would have charged him extra if it clogged the internal workings of a building system where there was toilets, sinks, and showers. This was in national park where this kind of thing would have him in big s**t with the parks.
Even seen a company lose contracts and was not allowed to perform any water or sewer works within the city do to carelessness. They later folded shortly after I left.
with that said it was a great video and I agree with drain addict, it is great to see people take pride in their work.

I have never said so many Ewwwe and Ohhhs as with this video. Really disgusting what people do to their drains! Your crew does a wonderful job in cleaning out the drains. I have my own septic system on my properties and there is not one drop of grease in there. I let grease cool off to harden and throw it in the garbage with a paper towel to wipe the pan out. I do my yearly maintenance with flushing out with water and then adding some chemicals to eat up any stubborn toilet paper because sewer and sink waters all go to my septic tanks.
