    Why cut the heels? Everyone keeps cutting heels, which only serves to stimulate the front of the hoof to grow forward. No wonder thoroughbreds are so prone to thin hoof walls and lameness issues.

      It's so it doesn't rub the heels raw there is more love tissue to aggrivate back there. Unless your using goat tape and dimm this is much better for the foot.

    Break over is so far forward.. offcourse the heel is conpromised!
