    Midcentury will always have its fans -- including me! I love the organic rooms but I'm really tired of the word "organic." I'll call it "natural."

      I agree with you. It’s the current buzz word as if it’s something new. As quite luxury became the buzz word to counter loud/ logo emblazoned designs. Nothing new in designs but a a recycle of the old made new.

    Know thyself. I used to have this style, and yes it's gorgeous. I almost designed my whole new house this way but caught myself. Because the problem is there's no color. I have learned over time that I get color starved in a space like this. Maybe this style is great if you have a chaotic life and want someplace spa-like and calming. But what I want in a house is bright colors, energy, creativity and playfulness. I do like natural elements but can't do the monochromatic neutrals.

    • @fwb777

      I totally agree with you! Life should be a kaleidoscope of colours. Matter of speaking ‘DO YOU’.. whatever the heck that is! Be true to YOU.

      I LOVE color myself, but can't have a lot of it because it gives me horrible migraines so a lot of modern design appeals to me more, especially as I get older because it's a lot less to clean than my favorite boho & traditional styles.

    • @cindianderson9443
      @cindianderson9443 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@GoAwayNow-iz3du I'm sorry, that sounds awful. Even outdoor colors like flowers and fall leaves? Or what about softer muted colors like a light aqua blue for example? I've never heard of migraines triggered from color, but it's very interesting.

    I am on the fence. I love the contemporary elements, the woods, the monochromatic palette, the glass and the light. But emotionally it gravitates to the “hygge” feel more than the excitement or intrigue that I love rooms to have. I also wouldn’t pick so many beiges and neutrals all over the place, or the organic curves. So I can’t decide if I love it or hate it? 🤷‍♂️

    Hi Lisa, I live in a tiny apartment in Australia with 5 year old daughter. Can you or someone you know with your eye help to re-do on budget?

    Did you mention mould on the little table in the corner? Surely that's a health hasard.

      Some are custom made. Take a screenshot and reverse google search the picture. That should help you find somebody to do it for you. If you have renovations ahead of you, you should consider coming and joining me at dezignspace.com ☺️

      I think the term is patina. Hadn't you noticed that sometimes, while Lisa is on a roll and rather than get tripped up over a descriptive detail, resorts to having to come up with a word quickly?!
