Some drivers want to splash people, it's very tempting and sometimes they don't measure the consequences until the water damage is already done in their cars.

We experience flooding on almost every street when it rains. The water level is usually so high that it will cover the whole wheels. We usually drive extremely slow through the water and make sure to turn off the air conditioning. Even small cars will have no problem passing through. And we are talking about over 500m of severely flooded streets.

I don't know about other cars but Japanese and Indian cars don't face these issues. As long as the tyre don't get stuck they just cross even when the entire wheel is under water and the car hit the water with full speed

The problem with driving through fast is. that you will be more likely to suck in water through the air filter so slowly would be your best choice

When you have to drive there 2x a day, have a black bin bag in a car, wet it and slap in on a face mask. Engine will get its air anyway
Проезжать водную преграду(брод):
1) медленно.
2) знать где находится воздухозаборник.(фильтр)
3) возможно задним ходом + медленно.
4) скорость не изменять.
5) руль не крутить.
6) лучше лядь объезжать водные преграды, если ваш автомобиль для этого не предназначен. Даже лёгкое затопление салона, даст много проблем ковролину в салоне. От запаха до внешнего вида и последующей химчисткой и сушкой салона.

It can get worse when you have a vehicle opposite as it creates a head on wave. I was very lucky once as a truck created a wave over my car windshield. My slow half throttle driving saved me.

Normally we drive a car on road with water level 20-40 cm. in Bangkok Thailand every rain season each year.... You just drive slow movement in the water and then have no any effect or trouble in you car.

It astounds me how few people know how to go through water: Slow speed and high revs! At the very least go slow! Slow to stop water splashing up into any air intakes or other inlets, high revs to stop water going up the exaust. If a Toyota MR2 can get through then most other cars should be able to!
How many drivers did you record that drove through the way the Aston driver did? I bet there were a few. Lorries and large vans can usually handle these depths but cars...
Англичане, скажите честно, вас не учат в автошколах, что так нельзя делать. У нас в России, учат даже тому, как "ловить" машину, если она пошла в занос.
А толку? Лучше бы уважение к ПДД прививали, скоростному режиму, разметке, пренебрежению к опасному вождению и пр. А то куча лизачей, дрифтеров, а потом смотрим ролики дтп на ютубе

@@Max_Newman Да, везде нарушают, да везде бывают дтп, но степень пренебрежения к пдд у россиян выше, чем у англичан. Про жесткие дтп не знаю, думаю что в рф их тоже больше. По совокупности причин, включая пренебрежение пдд. Да, есть авто.

Точно такое же видео есть у наших из НН там типы пробку объезжают через брод, правда он там куда больше, но точно также народ залетает и заливают свои движки. Вот прям один в один! В общем все люди одинаковые, правда у англичан(если это в Англии...) на одну проблему меньше у них дороги лучше...😁

Ive never gone through high water fast enough to spray water under the hood. Never been stuck either.

На астон мартине водитель правильно медленно проехал, а на ролсе вообще развернулся походу и уехал.

A lot seem to have no idea how to pass through water.
You want to travel at a speed that will cause a bow wave, the wave pulls water away from the engine bay/intake. But you don't want to travel so fast that you over drive the wave or so slow as not to cause the wave. There is a proper technique and most these people showed exactly what not to do.

They are using this as a shortcut - main road would add 5-10 minutes onto their journey.

Some 23 years ago I had the same problem in England. Drove B-roads and had no idea how deep it was. Took it very slowly in first gear. Front wheels lost grip, the whole car was floating. But moving forward, regained grip. No further problems.

I'm live in indonesia. In our country if rain very heavy the road usually flood. If you drive a car, it have some driving technique pass the flood. Keep driving speed very low. So the water can't enter from air intake. That make a water hammer if water enter the air intake
I wonder if you slip it into neutral and shut the engine off if there's be enough momentum to get through then restart on the other side.
