In the woods humans will almost always snap twigs while walking. Most animals will rarely do it. Even a person trying to sneak will break twigs especially when they’re in the dark. So if you hear twig after twig snapping just outside the circle of light coming from your campfire, be on guard. I don’t know if monsters are real, but I know humans are capable of doing horrible things, always come equipped to fight anything when camping especially when it’s a small group. When camping you are in the wild and far from anyone that would help and there’s wild animals that may attack a camp site for food and there’s people who want to take advantage of the seclusion. The best ways to camp are in a large group, in a heavily populated campground, or with weapons you could defend yourself with and tools to help you call for or find help if you were in trouble (compass, whistle, etc)
Ditto! I think the same applies to people jogging alone in secluded areas. I guess I just don't get why people do in the first place let alone doing it all alone, ill equipped, & sometimes in the dark🤦♀️

Also there’s other lore where they aren’t shape shifters about how if you ever meet your doppelgänger you should run because they will kill you. This one honestly sounds like lucid dreaming to me based on how the suggestion of the writer also having a doppelgänger made it appear the following night. Another thing this could be if it’s supernatural, is some type of spirit, possibly taking the shape of a loved one in order to avoid being feared, it could also be a glitch. Aside from all the sinister notions of doppelgängers the ones that have occurred in the world are of two people from different heritages that look exactly alike.
stuff like this never happens in my county, there’s too many rich people who don’t have the time or energy to do this to people i’m always so bewildered at these stories
The second story reminds me of a couple months ago. I was staying at my mom's house while she was on her honeymoon so I could watch her dog. Her house is old so all of her windows (including first floor) open. Sometimes my sister opens them to smoke pot🙄 and forgets to lock it. It was the evening and I'm watching TV when I hear knocking on the window. I checked: nothing. It continued all night and I couldn't catch them! This went on for days and my brother stayed over and he heard it too! I was getting really freaked until I caught it one night. It was a fucking bird attacking it's reflection. Gave me a heart attack!

And I when I just wake up, I'm uncoordinated, not weak. I can still open doors and pick up bags of dog food (because my spoiled rotten brats are positive they have to eat immediately.) It's just not logical that someone gets weak at a certain time of day. If they haven't eaten or are exhausted then weakness would be attributed to that, not the time of day even if their daily habits made it happen at the same time every day.

However, sometimes they make mistakes, returning people to the wrong place, or so much time has passed that it is noticeable. Sometimes the injuries make it obvious, or sometimes people are left knowing that something has happened to them, but it feels like it is on the edge of their memory, but can't be retrieved. It's not you, it's them. They treat us like lab rats. They do this to millions of people in the world. You are not alone. So, please don't blame yourself. I don't know if this makes you feel any better, or even if you believe me, but I'm telling you the truth. I thought you should at least know what probably happened, and not go on thinking it's your faulty memory. Sometimes the memory of these abductions partially return, so don't be surprised if they do. My evangelist grandparents however thought it was sinful that we were allowed to watch it.
