These stories have made me realize that most people don’t have screen doors separating the outside from their actual wooden door. I can’t imagine just opening a door to a complete stranger when there’s enough open space to easily get hit.
I would’ve called the cops in story 3. Wreck my house like that and with the neighbor’s attitude about it? Screw that. Underage drinking ✅ Adult who supplied the alcohol ✅ I would’ve felt just like that homeowner did. Some people have to save for years to buy a house, those little shits. As someone who does this on the side, both home and pet sitting, it is so important for both parties to have references and referrals. I've been with a few families for years now, and they all trust me completely, and I them.

Story 7 caught me off guard, I totally expected Dell to be a creep (given how these stories usually go) but I was pleasantly surprised that he really was just a good dude trying his best to nice.
He could be like me. I'm high functioning autistic so I say too much or random stuff that makes people feel uncomfortable. The worst part is...I don't know it till they avoid me. I don't do it on purpose. I try to be friendly but sometimes my brain just doesn't work right.
That first story was sus.. does the housesitter realize how easily that could have been staged, with Christopher behind it all? Haha the revealing detail would have been if anything in particular was stolen in that short amount of time.
Story 3... I am not excusing the boy because he is a disrespectful brat, but why on earth would anyone think that leaving their house for 3 days to a 17 year old boy would be a good idea? 🤦♀️

That last story was really cool with a twist ending. I've been listening to these stories for months and I always wanted to hear one where the antagonist turns into the hero, and this one was very satisfying. Actually I think that would make a great video....stories where the person who terrifies the main character turns out to be misunderstood and with actual good intentions.
Story 3, he should be so grateful his pets didn’t die. If he was away for any longer, they could have, & that would be so devastating to the kids. Also, it’s a good idea to install live cameras in homes. There’s a whole industry on that. I’m not as lucky myself. A dog of mine died because of my at the time roommate’s irresponsibility.
Every so often these stories will give out very wise advice and warnings. The girl giving advice about following your instincts could save someone's life. I believe we do have unseen protectors, but our gut instincts is a gift to ourselves.
Honestly first started listening to you back when you did the Russian sleep experiment, and I'd loved your videos ever since. I usually listen to your videos to sleep but I also listen to them at work. Keep up the great work.

I've house sat for a couple trusted families. The most excitement I've had to deal with was to run after the dog that wanted to make a break for it. The 17 year old and his parents made me angry! Even when I knew the family my mama taught me to never mess up another persons home!
As a teen who housesits and takes care of the pets for my neighbours when they're out of town, story 3 pissed me off so much, especially how those assholes fucking locked the pets in another room, like I'm literally younger than that guy yet I've been taking care of the exact same responsibilities for years, with help when I was younger but still, its just so frustrating to know that people like that exist, it isn't that teens aren't responsible enough to take care of someone's house, well not entirely, it's that the kid in that story is a irresponsible asshole

First I, then later my younger brother, would collect their mail and packages, take out the trash on trash day, let ourselves in to feed and walk the dog 3x a day (and play of course), water plants, and run sprinklers (these were the days before built in automated sprinklers...u physically placed them in areas and manually turned them on and off) for a week or so at a time starting at 12 yrs old. No issues. It was 35ish yrs ago, but I think there are teens responsible enough to handle that.

Story 5 - the kitten was not the cause! The sibling writing the story could have gone over to check on the kitty a couple times a day and all would have been fine.
After my time in the army I gave house sitting a try usually for family, friends and acquaintances. My one horror story. Sitting at a house out in kind of the backwoods I spent my days watching TV and cleaning my .40 pistol that I kept for protection. 2:30 in the morning I hear scratching at the back door as I go to check if the family's dog needed to go outside I was confronted by the sight that I never expected to see.Staring at me through the glass door is a huge black bear. It stood on its hind legs and look like it was about to hit the door. On an instinct I raised my firearm and unloaded every round I had into that bear. It did not survive. That was my last time house sitting.
Guys body is getting flooded with adrenaline because of a mental condition of which he had no control over developing. I mean objectively he is completely immobilized over some shouting sure, but it's not his fault. He's probably had to go through much more than the average person around him because of the panic attacks.
