      @Jairusd88 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      dc dc I'm speaking more of a personality really not necessarily any street ties because that could be very fragile when you want to change your circumstances I was just thinking about the emotional state of wale.

    • @socialxcurrency8845
      @socialxcurrency8845 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm speaking on business ties in regards to could guys who helped him push DC Culture; When he says he can't repair bridges he's burnt he's talking about great brothers who got him where he is , but I understand what your saying, I just hate when our people use us and then go on tv like they did it themselves lol.. But you do have a solid point. I think the culture of hiphop was taken away in the 1980s, HipHop was the resurgence of Civil Rights movement but when big labels like Interscope, Columbia, Atlantic.... etc started buying out small labels the pimping of black culture happened, remember rappers used to be ghetto reporter as Wale is now, but that got turned into glorifying the drug dealer, so now we put Jayz on a pedestal and he's done nothing for his own people, I mean yiu can give money to charities but it doesn't solve anything except for his tax break lol ... with all the money in hiphop I wish these rapper and sports players would create dept stores where we can sell our products as well as others, and put it in all major cities, but these guys won't do that, but they'll say theres racism and then ask us to pay $300 dollars for a concert ticket, we have to see what is truly authentic and whats just icing on the cake... I appreciate your reply good brother and you are correct sorry for my long response, stay blessed

He was so understanding when Wale talked about how light, white & beige brothers are getting more opportunities & love in the hip hop world, but when Amara La Negra said the same thing (dark skin women are passed over & spoken to in a negative way)..... He said it was All in her mind. That's why I don't watch or listen 2 the breakfast club anymore.

But thats just me, i don’t their relationship. But i think wale is cutting hisself short and need more of a proper team behind in his corner.

      Sharneil Dunn nahhhhh wale don’t got the money and he don’t make the type of music to go indy, he dont make club hits and do shows at clubs and stuff to make money, he need a machine behind him. Most independent guys like gucci and keef and dolph etc make their money from doing shows and performances. Then they have to reinvest that money back into themself.

    I’ve always rocked wit Wale back when he was doing the go-go joints for the city. He’s more than a rapper... he’s a poet and it’s been hard for him to find a lane and tap all the way in. The hate for him is real and i will never understand it. His last ep was flames. His flow and vibes were perfection. If he can stay in that bag i think more people will get on board with the movement.

    I think part of the reason Wale is so slept on is because he’s not a slave to the radio and he’s not constantly putting out projects every 6 months to stay relevant like most guys out here now. Plus he puts out good quality albums/projects. Majority of what you hear on the radio is microwave bullshit that’ll be forgotten by the end of the year. Idk about anyone else but I’m still bumping the Album About Nothing, Ambition, and The Gifted albums. Quality over quantity any day.

      Lestat Xxl 1.) Dashikis have not just became popular too us through black panther. If you do your research and go back further in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s it’s been around. Black Americans use to wear them a lot actually. Actually it was pretty Afro centric during them times as well. Idk where the disconnect had stop but most likely happen in the early 2000’s, They also Stop wearing the dashikis in the 2000’s as well. 2.) What are your African brothers and sisters doing? I’m not talking about the celebrities but the regular ones. They all come into this country to get a better life right? Y’all sit on here and complain about us complaining but won’t even go back to help your own countries get better resources. Stop worrying about what we do and fix yourself first. 3.) We might have our faults of being xenophobic but Also stop acting like this is a one way street. A lot of Africans be dissing us as well. They parents even say how they wouldn’t let them play with us. A lot of y’all asses would be nice to white people but judge us straight off the bat. Miss me with the bs.

    Rap has always been dominated by black men especially Dark Skinned Back men! Yes, Eminem became the biggest selling male rapper and Drake is probably the most successful rapper of the new generation but Dark Skinned black men are given the ability to shine in this genre. Singing is a whole other ball game and Dark Skinned females have essentially been shunned across all genres.
    P.S. Kinda interesting that Charlamagne suddenly knows what colourism is, now that a Dark Skinned Man is sharing his experience however with Amara he lost his ability to see, hear and talk instantaneously...

    Wale cares too much about respect and accolades. He could easily be making the best radio music we have ever heard if he humbled himself and accommodated for his audience

      Jeremy T if he's making 7 figures, he definitely needs to humble himself..

      But he's not originally a radio artist and I think that's why he doesn't just stick with that lane. He was originally the go-go, back up lyricist.

      Wale should make the music he wants to make and not accommodate to his audience because that is what a true artist does

      Jalyn Bre I think I deal with the same exact thing . I can relate . He just want/need some that’s genuine around him . I think he dealt with something in the past, maybe childhood, that he can’t let go or won’t let go.

      JBcoolbreez two products i recommend: "wild growth" hair oil (the white bottle) or "doo-gro" stimulating growth oil. use either right after being washed & retwisted, but before sitting under the dryer so it can 'bake' into your scalp.
      you're welcome. ☺️
