  • My sander started running really slowly and was losing its power. Here's how I fixed it, quickly and easily! Mine is a Bosch PEX 420 AE, but this fix may well work on other similar sanders.
Remember to unplug from the mains (or remove battery on cordless models) before doing this. Good luck!

You just saved me 200 dollars - I had given up on my disc sander! Did exactly what you did, and now it works perfectly! Thanks again from Norway! :)

Bro thank you so much for making this video. I have a Bosch ros65vc. I was experiencing the same power loss, checked the brushes and they looked good. I was dreading having to fork out another $300+ on another sander. I can't thank you enough man 👍

Brilliant! I have virtually the same, North American model. I needed it tonight. A little clean up and spray grease and its good as new. Thank you for your generosity in posting this.

Cheers man. With planned obsolescence and a diminishing supply of small engine repairers I was pricing up a replacement for my trusty Bosch sander before finding your posting. A good clean up and it’s ready for another million revolutions.

Thanks very much! I was looking into replacing at least brushes, without really thinking they were worn, and perhaps the switch or speed control, and all I needed to do was follow the procedure you outlined! This was brilliant.

This worked like a charm on my Bosch b3725devs random orbital sander! It only took about a minute. I used WD-40 spray. I wiped excess off, and put in a couple drops of 3 in 1 machine oil, to restore any lost lubrication. Thanks!!
