This place commemorates the Dutch soldiers who were the first to die during WWII. This is the Grebbeberg near Rhenen [NL] All victims of WWII are commemorated here every year. Emma also performed various songs in Margraten South Limburg [NL] American soldiers cemetery in September 2023 and in The Hague [NL] also in Amsterdam [NL] May 5. O.A Father, Hero, You raise me up, and When you Believe, the latter with Aprlil Darby Emma is currently back from a world trip with Andre Rieu and is singing her new song Dancing on the Stars in Maastricht
Thank you for that reaction, the event was one of a number around the beginning of May, related to the annual liberation of Holland remembrance events, and Emma performed on a number of days at different locations, fitting the events in the hectic schedule of concerts in the UK and Ireland with Andre Rieu, and she absolutely nailed every performance, her dedication to performing is incredible given her life situation, and absolutely wonderful to hear, the way she can give both gentle and powerful expression to the songs she sings is a highlight of her ability, and she very much has become more than a super star, with the varying events she's appearing at, and the range of songs she's singing, it's very clear that she is going to more than make waves, the only thing limiting her is that she's still a minor, so there are a lot of legal limits on the time she can perform for, on top of the very real limits imposed on her by gastroparesis, which requires her to be on the feeding pumps for 22 hours a day. There were several events that are on youtube, the first was in Amsterdam, in the presence of a number of high ranking political leaders, and the Dutch Royal Family, she sang a stunning duet with April Darby, one of the best performances I've heard in recent weeks, 'When you believe' th-cam.com/video/YG8WV1GFt_c/w-d-xo.html A recent performance of 'Father', a Demi Levato cover, at another event was even more powerful than her version last September, and she's subtly changed it in several places, and added in a new top note that's stunning. th-cam.com/video/4kX9iiIO5gY/w-d-xo.html ANother recent event from the same series of events was a performance of the John Lennon song, Imagine, backed only by piano, another strong performance by Emma. th-cam.com/video/P5UveHoj5yM/w-d-xo.html People who know me know what's coming next, and I make no apologies for repeating this appeal on a regular basis, Emma's foundation is almost unique in terms of the work they are doing, there's been very little research into a devastating illness, the effects on the sufferers are huge. Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl Please, if at all possible, join me in making a (regular) contribution to her foundation, to enable them to help patients like Emma, and research this awful disease that has affected her from birth, and requires her to be tied to the pumps and feeding tubes since she was 9 MONTHS old, for 22 hours a day, hopefully, the work of her foundation will find a cure. One of their main people is a surgeon who has a lot of experience in dealing with gastroparesis, and she is not only a surgeon, but also suffers from the same disease herself, to the extent that as a result of her condition worsening, she's had to leave her role in the hospital, and she is now dedicated to the foundation, and working to help find possible new treatments, or even better the cure that will free people like Emma to live a more normal life, rather than be tied to the feeding pumps for so many hours every day. It will be so good if the work of Emma's foundation can lead to a better treatment, or even a cure, which will free her to do more singing, and it may be people here who make that possible.
Actually this is at the Grebbeberg between the cities of Rhenen and Wageningen. Most soldiers burried there are Dutch. The Dutch army in 1941 was poorly equiped and trained. The Netherlands had proclaimed themselves neutral as in WW1. But the port of Rotterdam and the river Rhine was too important for Hitler and th Germans attacked the Netherlands. It was un uneven battle at the Grebbeberg and when the Germans had bombed and distroyed the hart of Rotterdam and threatend to do the same to other major cities The Netherlands surrendered and were occupied. Inerestingly: In 1945 the Germans signed the surrenderance in Wageningen on the 4th of May.
The information from @dennisharnish9063 is also correct but refers to a different concert featuring Emma and the same KMKJWF orchestra. That concert was held on September 17th last year to honor American soldiers at Margraten.
Beautiful performance❤❤

Wow, really?
This is interesting to know, I will try my best, thank you
She is great. This is in Holland. The concert is for Remembrance Day. They are honoring the American Soldiers that freed them from the Germans.
Lovely voice
