This looks great, especially that it can hook up to a solar panel. It’s much better than having to run wires from the house.
Looks like a great bit of kit 👍🏽
I have just bought a wildcam 2 but I have 5g so it will not connect via wifi to the app, is it still possible to use the camera without using the app, for example can I still view any footage via my pc etc
I'm looking for a camera that can be mounted remotely and give Live Feed to my phone. The camera would have to have a data SIM for that, I assume?
Hi @watch-Dominion-2018 - I'm not sure where you are in the world, so the choices would very much depend on that. The WiFi WildCam 2 works when within range of your home WiFi router.
Specs say battery life, up to 6 months. That cant be the case if its switched on and active 24 hours a day, illuminating, detecting, recording and transmitting images full time?
Hey! Yup - if you were doing all that, all day, full time, there is no chance you'd get 6 months of course. This is a wildlife camera, not a constant CCTV surveillance camera.
Up to 6 months is the standby time for the unit. Most users would typically see 2-3 months between charges. Hope that helps!
Parece buena cámara
I've just acquired one of these. It looks really good, but I have a 'tech-idiotic-pensioner' question . I only want it active for night wildlife, ( I don't want it recording all the local cats in our garden during the day) how do I set it to switch off during the day? I can't work it out in the settings menu. Sleep mode maybe? Or do I have to physically switch the off button under the camera, & if so would it need to be paired again? Thank you.
Hi Lydia - by all means, get it touch with us via shop@naturespy.org so one of the team can properly help here. But - if you go into the 'functions' at the bottom, when viewing the live feed, you'll see 'Detect Time' and you can set a timer there to do what you need.
I recently purchased the wildcam 2 including the solar panel. Love the quality of video. Excited to capture the hedgehogs bottom of my garden 😊. Question.. for some reason im only able to view live feed.when i receive motion detector alert. However night time when something set of the alert..i go back to view next day & hasnt actually captured a video of that moment. I checked the sd card is in, as id assumed that maybe the issue.
Wondered if you can advise, on how i can view footage that was captured late at night. The calender seems to be greyed out on previous days. Plus on playback just picks up live when i go out & check on it .reposition it ect. Otherwise im loving it. 😀🫶
