i just finished watching the 10th anniversary. Yknow where im form, we expect old people to slowly be unable to sing. I dont know how u did it. But i think you could potentially make a better version of the 17 Valjean lineup with that aged voice@@JeffLeyton
A 14-year video International 17 Jean Valjeans "Les Misérables" guided me here and I could not leave. Thanks for singing this song with your powerful and beautiful voice! How a blessing to listen to it.
I come from Taiwan!Your voice touched me in the 17 Valjeans tenth anniversary concert! Many people are encouraged and moved by your voice! looking forward to receive your reply😭😭
Want proof this guy's awesome? There were 17 other Valjean's in the 10th Anniversary performance, and yet we all came here to listen to him. Well done.
Perhaps I’m going to express a controversial opinion, but Jeff Leyton is the BEST Jean Valjean ever to occupy the role. A fierce power inhabits his voice. A raw power. Incomparable in its yearning for freedom.
After listening to the 10th anniversary Les Mis opener and the 17 Valjean's I had to know who sang so impressively, you are a true wonder Mr. Leyton. Bravo!
I have a tattoo on my right shoulder - a waving red banner with “Do you hear the people sing?” written across it. Les Miserables was the first musical I ever experienced (5 years old- for some reason mum was upset!) and this song in particular has been one a lifesaver for me many times ❤
Wow I was on ytube and always go to the 17 encore. I have always wanted to hear more from the singers and am so happy i found your page via the comments. Your voice and obviously hard work and care you have taken with it, is magical. You can change my mood just by your voice so thank you for posting. I will definitely be on lookout for all your singing projects. Again Thank you from San Antonio, Texas.
Thank god for youtube. Just done exactly the same as so many comments below. Heard in the 'Les Miserables: Do you hear the people sing: Sung by 17 Jean Valjeans from around the world' and your short but brilliantly strong and powerful voice especially over the what seems the band got even louder so you really had to sing loudly yet so clear drew to thinking the power of youtube will fine this chap. Look after yourself Jeff. All the best.
Jeff's voice gives me a dramatic shiver. Forget covid-19 - I could be sat in the Edinburgh Playhouse right now listening to this. What a fantastic range- I love it!
🇮🇪 Fantastic 🧡🤍💚 The video of 17 valjean from different countries led me to this. Your performance always made me feel the passion to fight against absurdity, hope and believing in our power to change the things better. It’s not only les miserables but it reminds me the fights in Irish history
Wow. There is it. I will sit here and play your two lines from 17 Valjeans over and over and over again. And here's the whole thing. My favorite. Simply incredible. Thank you, Jeff. Thank you.
Just found this, but I am so happy that I did! As a little girl who loved Andrew Lloyd Webber, that Do You Hear the People Sing reprise in the 10th anniversary concert was one of my favorites. Your line always made my heart sing; I would excitedly wait every time for Ireland! Thank you for sharing this--it is much appreciated.
Thank you Solar. This was Claude-Michel Schönberg, Alain Boublil, Herbert Kretzmer and Producer Cameron Mackintosh. Sir Andrew is certainly one of the best in the music and in musicals. Hugs.
Absolutely fantastic. You were my absolute favorite Valjean in the 17 Valjeans video. I would absolutely love to see you as Valjean in a full production of Les Mis.
Greetings from Taiwan as well. I watched the 10th anniversaey concert when I was in junior hight school (most 16 years ago) and the most touching moment of this concert was hearing your voice at the final Do You Hear The People Sing? chorus. Many years has passed but when I watched again, still touching and unforgettable. Good to see you are still enjoy singing for us and take care :)
Marvelous work, Mr Leyton! After all these years, your voice is still as powerful as ever before... thank you so very much for sharing your amazing performance for all of us. :D
I have seen Les Misérables live only once. It was in Manchester in the 1990's with you in the lead and Michael McCarthy as Javert. Your powerful voice stayed in my memory and I immediately recognized it when I saw the 10th anniversary (at the start in Look Down as well as the 17 Valjeans at the end) To this day, I remain very proud that you were 'my' Jean Valjean. Thank you very much for making this.
I saw the 10th. Anniversary concert after seeing Le Miz 3 times (Chicago, New York and on the West End. I was blown away by Mr. Leyton and wished I could have seen him live. Well I got to go back to London and had to see it again and was total surprised by my luck as I sat down and read the impossible: Jean Valjean played by Jeff Leyton. Thank You for making my trip! I have not been back to see it again as I have seen the Best Ever!
Mr. Leyton, thank you for all the songs you have sung. Your voice is a treasure of the human race. May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live.

Beautiful rendition of the song, your voice now add a layer to it, delightful to have chance to hear sort of full version from 10 year anniversary 😊 Love how the song gradually build up to the climax, beautiful way to sort of bridge up and recalled to that classic presentation /moment! Thank you for your music sir ❤
Thanks Marco. Trying to find more subscribers, so as I can create my own url for TH-cam, but for that I need more than a thousand subscribers. Thanks for the thought. Hugs Jeff.
Mr Leyton, hello from Caracas, Venezuela. I find myself thinking of your lines in the 10th Anniversary: "Will you join in our crusade, who will be strong and stand with me?" - we so need them in many areas of life! And it is so good to hear the entire song in your own voice
I wish I could download your music. I would 100% pay for a downloadable version of your songs. You were amazing in the line up after the Les Misérables 10th Anniversary Concert, that’s how I found this.
You’ve hungered for this all your life, how right you should sing in black and white lol. Thank you for sharing such a masterful rendition. I’m so happy to see I’m not the only one who enjoys this musical. While I haven’t seen anyone in America perform this at the Black Lives Matter uprisings, I have seen our brethren in Hong Kong use the flute to play this song as a call to arms. Thank you for sharing this with us!
