Lauren, you just showed us how strong an Alaskan Mama is, you just picked that mattress up and threw it down like it was light as a Feather. That was a great price on those mattresses.
Looks like a great selection of fruit, vegs, and Mom Box essentials. Prices in Illinois especial meat, eggs, dairy, milk high. Good thing you gotta a deal on Gas. It is good the kids are busy, having a great time. And I think a shopping venture by yourself at times is therapeutic, especially when you get to enjoy the first ice cream bar out of the box, I Probably would have had 2. You remind me of my Mom, she used to always buy a snack for the drive home. Usually one of those things we hardly bought. Today, I followed your example and got Popcorn with gouda cheese for the ride home. I turned the music up and had a great time. Thanks for taking us along. The Boys are all getting so big.
I miss Everett on this shopping haul and hus wanting samples and his liking or not liking the samples and also freezing in the cooler. He makes the guessing the final price so cute. He makes these hauls so much fun.
Yep, I miss his entertainment too but he would have been so sad with no samples to try!

Definitely a haul. I have noticed that there are several items you purchase at Costco that pricing here in Central Missouri at Sam's is maybe a $1 difference or almost same. Inflation isn't helping costs anywhere. But it's nice to see what the prices are. I'm prepping for my move to North Pole, AK when I retire in 6 years, so between your videos and The Somers, it's helping me do that. Also, my daughter Elizabeth loves watching your families videos. She's excited about our move.

Shopping at my Costco here in VT is usually quieter in the evenings. Everett’s typical estimate of $5000 would have been closer on this shopping round than usual 😂. Thanks Lauren for taking us along on your shopping haul!

Thanks for the Costco tour. Was debating on getting a membership but after watching this and seeing the prices I don't feel like I've missed out on anything. Just because they sell in bulk doesn't necessarily mean you're getting the best price. I love Aldi's for groceries.
But dinner of those prices seems more than here in Seattle
There is no Aldi in Alaska that I know of.
It really depends. Some of the snacks that have 4 times the amount of regular boxes are definitely worth the price. You should watch some other Costco videos to see.
For some reason I can't get into Aldi. I have tried. For some reason everything or a lot of stuff I have tried taste so different
You have to do cost comparison to the servings/weight of the item sold. My local Aldi is not a better price point than my local Costco.
Just started watching This Alaska Life, now I’m hooked, I haven’t watched them all yet but I’m working on it. I’m from a small place in East Tennessee called Mohawk, just 3,700 people, give or take a few. It’s in Greene County Tennessee, we live next to a Tennessee wild life reserve so we see a lot of animals, no moose, but we love where we live. We are 96 miles from the closest Costco, so I’ve never been to one, except through your videos. It’s great getting to know your family, take care and God Bless!

I’ve been checking everyday for a Costco trip!! FINALLY!!
I’m so glad to hear you’re following Fav City!! I’ve found some better options when at Costco. Since it’s just me, I definitely make a huge effort to try his recommendations!! Turkey meat was a big one I had purchased before he showed it on his video. Instead of the type you bought, I got the organic in the area by the deli!! I also grabbed the Havarti cheese and the rolls I make are so good!!
The cookies you didn’t like, I didn’t like the first time I tried them but last time I loved them!! Much much better option!! HUGE HAUL!! Yet, definitely needed!! I love when Everett does the like & subscribe!! Too cute!!

When I lived in Laramie, WY, because of the altitude the roads were at risk of being closed like a good 8 months out of the year, and so folks would go down to Ft. Collins, CO and stock up at Cosctco to get through like October to May

If your red vines get hard, just heat them. A few seconds in the microwave, or put them in a zip lock and give ‘em a few dunks in hot water. I love them soft, but just hate the texture when they get tough.

I like the information Bobbie gives at FlavCity, I watched him for years. Affording to eat " Bobbie Approved", isn't always affordable for us. We do our best. It is great to learn what's really in our food.

It really is flying by. Lots of big purchases this trip but it feels like we need to replace a bunch of big stuff every six months or so! Everett would have been bored and hungry with this huge trip! Hope you are doing well and have a nice weekend!

I loved living in Alaska!! I worked at a bulk store called Price Savers in Anchorage many years ago. I used to pack up bush orders and have them delivered to the airport or to ports.
Awesome! Love that you had that experience. I need to talk about that in a future order. So tricky to get food out in the bush!

There is no wasting your money on the Deep Fried Pickle Dip. Buy it!! So good!!! I have to limit myself so I don’t eat the whole container. Our Walmart sells it in the smaller container. Might try there. ❤️

Oh my gosh. Those prices are so high! I understand why they are higher than mine here in the Texas Panhandle, because they can't just be trucked in and our prices are being raised all the time as I'm sure yours are. Because of the high prices I have a question for you. The homesteaders there that do not have an outside job how do they cope with the extremely high prices since they are not being paid a high wage to go along with the inflation?
I am not sure. They must grow a lot of their own food and then harvest moose and fish. It would be difficult but they must have some sort of money coming in... I am not sure.
we cant even get shrimp thst big n 16 20 are 799-8.99/lb here n you have to clean n devein them

Best time to shop at Sam's Club here in Jefferson City Missouri is as early as possible...Because for one everything is fully stocked and for two it's 107 degree's with 27% humidity right now (it's 4:45 pm. centeral time right now) ...After having a heat stroke last summer I just don't go out much. I will admit I have now started having my groceries delivered to me. But I ALWAYS give a great tip and an ice cold bottle of gatorade or water to my delivery driver.

I don’t like the Wisps either. Make your own! Grate parm into a nonstick pan and cook it until it browns slightly. Slide it out with out bunching it up. Let it cool and break it into pieces. It’s best if you can see the pan when you grate the cheese into the pan cause it fries quicker that way. 🤤

I always go to Costco around 7:30. Lots less people. When my son was a teenager I’d lose him once we entered Costco. He’d walk around and get “lunch.” This was before cell phones.

It's two years since you posted this video but I love all of your videos, past and present. Grocery shopping makes me happy and calms me. But Covid appeared and killed that vibe. Now, in 2024, my daughter and I have begun shopping in storesbut still only about 10 times or less. She's still protective of my health (66 years old with Type 2 diabetes and Coronary Artery Disease) plus with new strains of Covid and Monkey pox popping up, my trips to grocery stores will probably be stopped. SO, shop and post the videos for those of us who can't get out! Love to your family.
