    My wife, daughter (12 at the time) and myself all did our open water dives at North Park Canyon Lake. We also enjoy a calm drift down the Comal River at Hinman Island Park in New Braunfels.

      North park is right across the way! And I love hinman island!

    Thank you once again for taking us into the beautiful underwater world. As always you choose the most beautiful music to accompany your dives.

    Great dive video and good visibility for Canyon lake. I normally dive north park as the path to the lake for Overlook is a pain. My husband loves that torch/ light as a secondary light. It's great for getting someones attention.

      Thank you! North park is fun too! I love how the vis is more consistent at overlook, the hike is a problem though lol

    Went there in November as a part of a volunteer clean-up day and my poor body couldn't deal with the sub-60 temps 😂😭. Definitely dry suit territory.

      Totally agree, I get cold on those dives!

    3:46 into the video, bottom, was that a petroglyph? Great dive.

      Thank you! I don’t think that was a petroglyph but I want to believe it was lol

    If this dive light is a good backup which do you recommend for a primary?

    • @scottbauerbelow
      @scottbauerbelow  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a good back up light but not a good primary….I would look into big blue, light monkey, halcyon for a reliable primary

    What is ‘at depth’ for Overlook Park?

    • @scottbauerbelow
      @scottbauerbelow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When the lake is full you can get to 130’

    Time of year? Bottom temps?

    • @scottbauerbelow
      @scottbauerbelow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This was in early October where the surface was 78ish and the bottom was in the low 60’s….the thermocline was somewhere around 40 feet
