Excellent and important video. "With all the development" is THE REAL CAUSE OF THIS ALL OVER THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY.

Don't think the drastic reduction in rainfall over the last drought filled years or higher average temperatures has anything to do with it either???

Development and surrounding communities are using water faster than what is being replenished over the past 6 years. 2021 was the only year the lake went up due to weather system. Unless demand decreases, it will continue to drop. It is now at a record low.

Looks better because there is more beach on the new shoreline.

We should pray for more rains at Canyon Lake asap. I know that Canyon Lake is a good place for Bass Fishing there.
No Dry But Yes! Rain, come on.
Deer Hunting is not bad there.
You will know. Okay! Thanks for your time. Have a great day!
    Respectfully,

Is the water really that color? Don't think I've seen a lake in Texas look like that. I love it.

There was some color grading done, but Canyon Lake is an incredibly clear lake. It's the Limestime bottom and lack of vegetation contributing to that. It also seems like after the zebra mussels and hydrilla invaded, it's gotten even clearer like they filter the water.

You took some amazing shots. Just sad to see how much farther out to reach the water. 😢

In 1996 the lake was low and most all boat ramps were closed. Then I think it was 2002 we had the flood and water went over the spillway and created the gorge and the found dinosaur tracks. We’ll get rain

When they built that lake San Antonio and Austin did not ask for water for their cities. San Antonio is getting all of it's water from ground water. This is why when there is a drought and water is low they put in water conservation restrictions very quickly. One man had a catfish farm and they shut him down but did nothing to the soft drink and beer business. They use millions more water.

Just up stream the Guadalupe River has created an 8' "sand" bar across the river that really should be taken down.

The GBRA has sold all the water in Canyon Lake. Legally before 2019 they could only drain 45k acre feet. They doubled that to 90k. Adios Canyon Lake

Only reason for low lake level is mismanagement by the political traitors.. .
